00:00The Traction City of London, a colossal, mobile metropolis, relentlessly hunts down a small
00:05scavenger town across the rugged terrain. London fires weapons and eventually launches hooks into
00:10the smaller town, effectively capturing it. This act of conquest allows London's leaders to loot
00:15the town's resources and take the survivors aboard their city. Meanwhile, Thaddeus, a prominent figure
00:20in London, encounters Tom, a young man with a keen interest in history. Thaddeus recognizes Tom's
00:25knowledge when he sees him safeguarding a rare toaster. When Catherine, Thaddeus' daughter,
00:30introduces the two, Thaddeus fondly recalls Tom's parents. In the midst of this, a mysterious woman
00:35with a mask covering her face spots a commotion in the crowd. Seeing this as her opportunity,
00:40she stealthily approaches Thaddeus and stabs him, declaring it as retribution for what he did to
00:44her mother, Pandora. Tom intervenes, saving Thaddeus and revealing Hester's scarred face. As Hester
00:50attempts to escape, Tom pursues her into the chambers where the captured town is being dismantled. Their
00:54chase takes him through a maze of massive industrial saws and crushing machines. When
00:59Hester tries to escape through a chute leading to the outside world, Tom manages to catch her
01:03momentarily. She urges him to let her go, instructing him to ask Thaddeus about her mother before she
01:08drops into the chute. Shortly after, a wounded but stable Thaddeus arrives, initially thanking Tom
01:13for his help and his attempt to capture Hester. However, when Tom mentions Hester's claim that
01:17Thaddeus murdered her mother, Thaddeus reacts by breaking the railing behind Tom and kicking him
01:22into the chute. Catherine arrives a moment too late to find her father. He lies to her,
01:26claiming that Hester and Tom fell into the chute while they were fighting. As they prepare to leave,
01:30Catherine notices a worker named Beavis Pod lurking in the shadows who might have witnessed
01:34everything, but she decides to keep this observation to herself. Outside, Hester and Tom try to hide as
01:40they find themselves pursued by Thaddeus' planes. To quench her thirst, Hester digs into the mud to drink
01:45the water, much to Tom's disgust. She then shares a packaged sponge cake with Tom, who is surprised to find
01:50that it's still good despite having an expiration date of over a thousand years in the past.
01:54During the night, Hester wakes up after hearing a strange sound in the distance. She finds Tom
01:58waving at an approaching trading town. Hester knows better though, and rushes to save Tom as the town
02:03begins to fire hooks at them. While hiding, she explains to him that the town is full of scavengers
02:07on a night hunt for other humans. As the town continues to fire hooks at them, Hester helps Tom climb,
02:12and they start running. However, Tom loses sight of her and falls into a trap hole, taking him inside a
02:18stealthy vehicle, where he finds an eccentric man driving it. Looking for the truth, Catherine seeks
02:22out Beavis Pod. Despite his initial hesitation, she insists that she wants to uncover the truth
02:27about her father. This leads Pod to reveal to her the shocking reality about what Thaddeus did.
02:32Pod then takes her to see the outside of a church, telling her that he suspects her father is
02:36constructing something dangerous within. However, the presence of numerous guards prevents Pod
02:41from entering. Seeing this, Catherine steps up, offering her assistance to infiltrate the guarded
02:45structure. Aboard the peculiar vehicle, Hester and Tom are provided a room. It is here that Hester
02:50begins to reveal her reasons for wanting to kill Thaddeus. She reminisces about her childhood,
02:55during which her mother, a distinguished archaeologist, was frequently visited by Thaddeus,
02:59who held her discoveries in high regard. On one such occasion, Pandora unearthed something of
03:04seemingly great importance. Thaddeus coveted this discovery, but Pandora staunchly refused to give it
03:09to him. This refusal led to a violent altercation, with Thaddeus brutally attacking Pandora. When Hester
03:14tried to intervene, Thaddeus lashed out at her with his knife, leaving her with a scar and forcing
03:18her into hiding after he murdered her mother. Before her death, Pandora managed to give Hester
03:23a necklace, entrusting her with its protection. In the present, Thaddeus visits a moving prison
03:27after learning that it has a cyborg on it that's been unstoppably shouting Hester's name. The cyborg,
03:32named Shrike, is locked inside a metal block. When Thaddeus inquires why Shrike is hunting Hester,
03:37he reveals that Hester broke a promise. This prompts Thaddeus to take his plane and fire at the prison,
03:42dropping Shrike's cell into the water. Shrike then emerges, embarking on his relentless pursuit
03:47of Hester. During the night, Hester and Tom are awakened by a loud noise outside their room,
03:51only to realize that they've been tricked and are taken to be sold into a slavery auction.
03:56As the bidding for Hester begins, a large man keeps bidding on her. Just as the bid is about
04:00to close, an unregistered bidder appears, offering a much higher price for Hester. The auctioneer informs
04:06the mysterious bidder, revealed to be an anti-attractionist named Anna, that he would sell Hester
04:10to her. But he is aware of who she is and that there is a bounty on her head. He demands the
04:14exorbitant price matching the bounty to give her Hester, or he will capture Anna and claim the bounty
04:19himself. Unfazed, Anna retaliates by shooting the bidmaster, starting a fight with everyone at the
04:24auction. In the midst of the fight, the menacing figure of Shrike emerges, heading directly toward
04:28Hester. Concurrently, Anna, undeterred by the chaos, kills anyone that crosses her path.
04:33Tom and Hester get away from the fight by climbing onto the town's wheels, only to find Shrike right
04:38behind them. As Shrike closes in, Hester is whisked away to safety by Anna's aircraft.
04:42Despite Anna's insistence that Hester should abandon Tom, Hester chooses to help him, tossing
04:47him a knife to sever the rope he's hanging from, leaving Shrike stranded on the ground.
04:51Aboard her plane, Anna jokingly brandishes her gun at Tom, explaining that she's there to help them.
04:56As she tends to Hester's wounds, she reveals her deep admiration for Pandora and her bravery,
05:00confessing that she has been searching for Hester since Pandora's demise. Hester then reveals the
05:05reason Shrike is haunting her. After her mother's death, Shrike found Hester and provided her with
05:09food and shelter. She speculated that he might have had a family once before he became a cyborg.
05:14Recognizing her perpetual sadness, Shrike offered to alleviate her pain by transforming her into a
05:19machine like himself, which would numb her sorrow. Hester agreed to this proposition until she found
05:24out that Thaddeus was not far away from her, prompting her to flee from Shrike and seek out Thaddeus
05:28to avenge her mother. After hearing her poignant story, Tom attempts to comfort her by reaching for
05:33her hand. Upon discovering that Tom has studied aviation, Anna permits him to dock the plane
05:37into the airborne city of Airhaven, where they encounter several friends of Anna. During the
05:42meeting on Airhaven, Tom asks Hester if she saw a strange symbol on the item Thaddeus stole from
05:47her mother. When she says yes, Tom recognizes that it was a quantum computer core, leading him to
05:52realize that Thaddeus is building a powerful weapon that can finally allow him to invade the last major
05:57city standing, Shan Go. Tom continues that the only way they can stop Thaddeus is if they manage to find the
06:02computer's crash drive, which would shut the weapon down permanently. Suddenly, the power cuts out and
06:07Shrike appears. As they exhaust their ammunition and resort to swords and spears, Shrike manages
06:12to overpower the anti-attractionist, causing an explosion in the airborne city. Hester and Tom
06:17attempt to escape while the anti-attractionist, led by Anna, fight back with Anna, able to wound
06:22Shrike's chest with the blades on her boots. The anti-attractionist then use a bomb to create a hole
06:26beneath Shrike, causing him to fall. However, he manages to hang on and appears on a bridge,
06:31facing Hester. When he attempts to kill Tom, Hester pleads for his life. Looking into her eyes,
06:36Shrike realizes that Hester loves Tom. His green eyes suddenly dim and he begins to fail due to
06:41the wound inflicted by Anna. Understanding that Hester might finally find happiness, he hands
06:45her the necklace her mother left her and releases her from her promise before falling to his death,
06:49reminiscing about the precious memories he shared with Hester and his past life as a human.
06:54As Airhaven explodes, the anti-attractionist manage to escape with Hester and Tom. Upon returning to
06:59Shango, Anna reveals that she was once enslaved and has been willing to sacrifice her life for
07:04freedom ever since her escape from slavery. As they enter Shango, Tom and Hester are amazed by
07:09the sight of the flourishing city. Meanwhile, the citizens of London watch in awe as Medusa emerges
07:14from the church and locks onto Shango's wall. In a moment of quiet, Hester observes one of the
07:19anti-attractionist praying. The eye on the deity's forehead reminds her of her necklace, which she opens
07:24to find a flash drive with the mysterious symbol on it, making her realize that her mother gave her the
07:28crash drive needed to shut down Medusa. Medusa fires a massive bolt at Shango, destroying a large
07:33portion of its wall with a single hit. This leads them to the grim realization that they might not
07:38stand a chance against such power. As Medusa recharges for the next shot, Tom and Hester reveal
07:42that they possess the crash drive. Led by Anna, they fly towards London to deactivate the weapon.
07:47Medusa fires again. The plane manages to evade the attack, but the blowback from the energy field
07:52damages them, shattering the windows of the planes. As the planes approach London, they are spotted and
07:57fired upon. In the heart of the action, Anna hands Hester a gun and leaves her near the church.
08:01Entrusting her plane to Tom, she instructs him to take care of Hester, then leaps out,
08:05signifying her self-sacrifice. Anna enters the church and fires at Thaddeus, but his assistant
08:10shields him, allowing Thaddeus to shoot Anna in the stomach. A fierce close combat ensues as Hester
08:15stealthily enters the church and locates the quantum computer. Once she inserts the crash drive,
08:20the cancellation process begins, but it's a race against time as the next shot is imminent. Anna spotting Hester
08:25continues to distract Thaddeus by enduring his attacks. With her last breath, Anna urges Hester
08:30to escape as Medusa powers down for good. Thaddeus, in disbelief over his failed plan, exits the church
08:35to find Catherine confronting him, having realized the horrific actions of her father. In a shocking
08:40twist, Thaddeus reveals that he hasn't given up and is still attacking Shan Goh by crushing London
08:44into the wall. As London approaches the wall, Tom communicates with Catherine via radio and instructs her
08:49to open the city for him to enter it. In a courageous move, he flies into the city and targets
08:54its engine. Having made her way onto Thaddeus' plane, Hester confronts him. Seeing her to be as
08:59committed to killing him as he was to invade Shan Goh, Thaddeus reveals that he's Hester's father.
09:04He then manages to disarm her. She retaliates, but he pushes her against the railing. Just as she slashes
09:09his face with a knife, Tom arrives with a plane, enabling Hester to climb aboard. Tom then eliminates
09:14Thaddeus by firing a missile at his plane, causing it to crash in front of the decelerating London,
09:19crushing him as his two daughters watch. Finally, Catherine guides the peaceful citizens of London
09:23towards Shan Goh, where they are warmly welcomed by the governor. Meanwhile, atop the plane,
09:28Tom and Hester share an embrace and express their intention to explore the world together.
