SAVING SAGE
Transcript
00:00Miley has been here too long, Michelle.
00:02Michelle, we're here at Saving Sage Animal Rescue.
00:06And last time we were here, a year ago, guess who was here?
00:10This same thing.
00:11You missed me, didn't you?
00:12Can you tell us about Miley, Michelle?
00:15So, Miley is a sweetheart of a dog.
00:18She's about five, I would say, now.
00:21And she just needs to be the only princess in the house.
00:26She's been here so long, we made shirts.
00:28And she really is a lover girl.
00:33I think she would do great in a family home.
00:37Just no other dogs or cats, which is the case for plenty of dogs out there.
00:41Well, you can see she's nosy.
00:43She's nosy, Rosie.
00:44Looking out the window, checking everybody out, sniffing my butt.
00:48Sniffing my butt.
00:49We're trying to do a video here, Miley.
00:51You're a lady.
00:52Could you possibly help us out?
00:53Look, you see a face like this, a lot of people think, wow.
00:56You know, wow, look at that dog.
00:57Boy, this is the sweetest dog on the planet.
01:01We fell in love with her last time.
01:02So do us a favor.
01:04Check her out, all right?
01:05Go to thebeachmiami.com.
01:06Take a look at the video and see more about it.
01:09And this great rescue.
01:11Fulfillment.
01:12Saving Sage.
01:13Wonderful people.
01:15You, it's good to see you again, Michelle.
01:16And thanks to our sponsors, Tito's Handmade Vodka.
01:19Vodka for dog people.
01:20Without you, we could not do all this.
01:22So please help us out so we can find a home for you.
01:26Here at Saving Sage Animal Rescue with our friend Michelle and Stevie, who is named because Stevie is blind.
01:34Not completely blind or kind of blind?
01:37We think that she can see definitely shadows and light.
01:42But blind cats and impaired cats are absolutely amazing because they can map an entire house.
01:48And then memorize the roots and the dimensions and just work it out.
01:52Yeah.
01:52Wow, that's cool.
01:54All right, tell us about Stevie.
01:56How old is Stevie?
01:57Where did you find Stevie?
01:58Stevie is yet another stray that they put outside and being visually impaired.
02:04You can imagine how dangerous that is.
02:06But she's an absolute lover and purr monster.
02:10Wait a minute, so somebody had Stevie and then let Stevie go out just out on the street on her own?
02:16Yeah.
02:17This is why we do what we do.
02:19It's one story after another.
02:21And Michelle, these people here that you work with at Saving Sage, we deal with this every day, these heartbreaking stories.
02:28We just had the 40 dogs came in from Puerto Rico.
02:32We have dogs.
02:33We're taking care of dogs in America.
02:35We have dogs from other countries.
02:36It's one battle after another.
02:39But at the end of the day, we're just trying to find homes for them.
02:41A beefcake of love.
02:43His belly is this far from the ground.
02:47He's me.
02:48If I were a dog.
02:51And Brutus is the saddest little eyes.
02:54But this is a low-maintenance dog.
02:57You want someone to chill?
02:58This is your guy.
02:59He's a little meatball.
03:01Yeah, he's a little meatball.
03:02He is a meatball.
03:04And he is a sweetheart.
03:06And he's not getting any bigger.
03:08So he's big and beefy.
03:10It can't possibly get any bigger than this.
03:12This is the magic.
03:13Hey, by the way, the job you do here at Saving Sage, tell us about your rescue.
03:18Well, we are no-kill.
03:21We have dogs and cats.
03:24We have a shelter.
03:27We are a rescue.

03:31So we offer low-cost spay and neuter, vaccines.
03:35We offer almost everything except we don't have an x-ray machine.
03:40But if you donate, we can buy one.
03:43You're not going to have an x-ray machine at home.
03:46Please let us know.
03:47Hey, give us the address for people in the neighborhood who want to stop in, volunteer, or bring their dog in.
