00:00If Hollywood has taught us anything, it's that a great story deserves a sequel.
00:09Well, did you know that one of the books in the New Testament is a sequel?
00:14Luke wrote the gospel that bears his name, but he also wrote the book of Acts.
00:19Although Luke never met Jesus, he was a close friend of the Apostle Paul
00:23and had access to many of the eyewitnesses to Jesus' ministry.
00:27So, when he set out to write his account of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection,
00:33he thoroughly investigated to provide us with the most accurate account.
00:38But when Luke got done penning his gospel, he knew there was more of the story to tell.
00:44Now, here's the funny thing.
00:46We commonly call Luke's second book, The Acts of the Apostles, but Luke never does.
00:52He says his first volume contains only what Jesus began to do.
00:57That means that his second volume, The Book of Acts, is the continuation of what Jesus did.
01:04Even though Jesus ascended to heaven in the first chapter of the book,
01:08everything that unfolds in the pages that follow is still the work of Jesus.
01:13And guess what?
01:14The Book of Acts never really ended.
01:17The story of God's kingdom taking hold of the world continues.
01:21You are a part of that story, and it's all still the work of Jesus.
01:27The book of Acts again uses for любites whom have been remembered.
01:32Amen.
01:33Amen.
01:33Amen.
01:34In this book of Acts, remember, God has been remembered.
01:36So, He does not leave the world yet?
01:36Let me reveal the Word of Acts.
