00:00One of the remarkable aspects of the story of redemption is that God reveals to us how it
00:09will all end. We don't have to wonder how the story ends. Now, He hasn't given us all the
00:16details, but there is still a great deal we do know. The book of Revelation describes a new heaven
00:22and a new earth. It's a time when new Jerusalem will descend from heaven, and God will live with
00:29His people forever. It's going to be glorious, everything our hearts have ever longed for.
00:35As Jesus speaks here, He's talking about that kingdom to come. He's giving His followers a
00:42glimpse of the timeless kingdom we're longing for. Jesus spoke about the renewal of all things.
00:48In other words, everything that is good, true, and beautiful about this life will be remade
00:54and made holy for the next. The things that reflect God's good heart will echo into eternity.
01:01That means that anything you do for the kingdom now matters for the life to come.
01:07Love your neighbor. Create something that inspires others. Invent something that helps someone in need.
01:14Try to make this world a bit more like heaven, and your work will be timeless.
