00:00One time, Jesus told a group of Pharisees something interesting.
00:08He spoke to them about the coming kingdom of God, letting them know that it wasn't something
00:14to look for or try to find. It was, in fact, already here. The kingdom of God is not like
00:21the kingdoms of this world. There are no geographic boundaries, no capital city, and no consulate.
00:28The kingdom is invisible. We are its ambassadors, and we must choose to focus our lives on the
00:35mission and the values of the kingdom. Still, until Jesus returns, the kingdom will not be
00:41found on any map. Why does that matter? Because it's easy to get distracted. While the kingdom
00:48is not something we can see with our physical eyes, there are so many things we can see,
00:53and they're all vying for our attention. It's our job to push through all the distractions and set
00:59our hearts on the things and the people Jesus cares about. Nehemiah understood this principle.
01:06God had given him the job of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, and he refused to be distracted.
01:13As a result, his legacy is a job well done. If you go to Jerusalem today,
01:19you can see parts of Nehemiah's wall still standing. So, don't allow yourself to get distracted.
01:26God has a job for you to do in his kingdom right here and right now.
