The Bracco Foundation brings the photographic exhibition 'Milano con gli occhi di Leonardo' ('Milan through the eyes of Leonardo' ) to the Italian Embassy in Tokyo. The exhibition, featuring photographs taken by five young female photographers trained at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, offers a contemporary and innovative view of places in Milan linked to the Renaissance master Leonardo Da Vinci. On the same day, a meeting entitled 'Dialogue between Japan and Italy on science, culture and longevity' was held, a discussion promoted by the Italian Embassy in Tokyo between Italian and Japanese experts on how science and culture can contribute to improving quality of life.

00:38the exhibition is held in the grounds
00:41of the Italian Embassy in Tokyo
00:43as part of the off-site Forie Expo events
00:47the exhibition casts a contemporary
00:49and newly inquisitive eye
00:51in places in Milan that have connections
00:53with Leonardo da Vinci
00:55We were delighted to accept
01:03the Bracco Foundation's proposal
01:05to display a selection of photographs
01:07from the beautiful exhibition
01:09Milan seen through the eyes of Leonardo
01:11in the Embassy's outdoor spaces
01:14the exhibition effectively conveys
01:16Italian art, culture and innovation
01:19to the Japanese public
01:21highlighting the unique combination
01:23of culture, innovation and health
01:26Earlier today, we also hosted a fascinating seminar
01:29that showcased these meaningful connections
01:32we extend our sincere thanks to the Bracco Foundation
01:36and to Bracco for their presence in Japan
01:38which stands as a remarkable pillar in our relationship with Japan
01:42both from a cultural and an economic perspective
01:45To coincide with the exhibition
01:53the Italian Embassy in Tokyo
01:55organized a dialogue between Japan and Italy
01:58on science, culture and longevity
02:01which brought together Italian and Japanese experts
02:05to explore how science and culture can contribute to improving the quality of life
02:11On this occasion, we had the opportunity to present to our Japanese guests
02:17the importance of culture and cultural participation
02:21for health and well-being
02:23sharing studies that sparked great interest among both our Japanese colleagues and attendees
02:28It was a moment of reflection on the centrality of art to science and culture
02:34which are the primary focus of initiatives supported by the Bracco Foundation
02:38Japan has dealt with the question of aging for years
02:44and has by now become a world leader in the field of longevity
02:48Japan takes a highly sophisticated approach
02:56which entails the regular diagnostic testing of the elderly
03:00for the prevention of three health issues
03:03oncological disease
03:04cardiovascular disease
03:06and cognitive decline
03:09By carefully studying what Japan is doing
03:11I believe that we can adopt some of their approaches
03:14even though our society is very different from theirs
03:18We can build, therefore, a hybrid model
03:20which will make Italy highly competitive in the field of elderly care
03:25Technological innovation is key to longevity
03:32During the discussion organized at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo
03:36Professor Ginzaki from the Department of the School of Medicine of Keio University
03:43presented the features of an innovative tool developed in collaboration with Canon Medical Systems
03:49We have developed both a standing CT scanner and a multi-position CT scanner
03:58that allow patients to stand, sit or lie down during the process
04:02The new standing CT systems can also detect function disorders
04:07whose detection and identification are essential for a long and healthy life
04:13In other words, they allow the early diagnosis of functional problems related to healthy longevity
04:19I sincerely hope that equipment of this sort will be brought to Italy
04:23so that Japan and Italy, both facing the challenge of an aging society
04:28can work together to understand how these technologies can help us achieve a long and healthy life
04:35So first, I mentioned earlier, here's theYEgon for NTD
