In Vietnam, the death toll from Typhoon Bualoi has risen to 19, while another 21 people remain missing. Bualoi made landfall on Monday in the central-northern part of the country, bringing rain, strong winds, and storm surges. This was the storm with the greatest impact recorded this year. The rainfall increased the threat of landslides and flooding in northern areas. According to official records, 88 people were injured, more than 100 thousand homes were affected, and around 10 thousand hectares of crops were flooded. The meteorological agency forecasts continued rainfall due to the passage of Bualoi toward the capital, increasing the probability of thunderstorms.
