Typhoon Bualoi has struck Vietnam’s coast, leaving at least 8 dead and 17 fishermen missing off Quang Tri province. The cyclone caused widespread destruction, damaging hundreds of homes, flooding roads, and disrupting power across central Vietnam. Authorities warn of severe floods and landslides, with rainfall expected to reach up to 500 millimetres. Over 28,500 people were evacuated as strong winds and heavy rains continue, and hundreds of flights were cancelled or delayed. The storm is now moving towards Laos, leaving communities on high alert.
