00:00Foreign Minister Lin Jialong says it's time for Europe to stand with Taiwan against authoritarianism.
00:06That came during an address at the Warsaw Security Forum in Poland.
00:11Today, authoritarian regimes, mainly China, Russia, Iran and North Korea,
00:19have formed an axis of upheaval to challenge the rule-based international order.
00:25And China is largely seen as the decisive enabler behind Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
00:34As a result, democracies around the world must act in concert to counter the existential and systemic threat.
00:45Parts of Central and Eastern Europe have grown sympathetic to Taiwan since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine,
00:52despite formally recognizing China.
00:54This is Lin's second time in Europe this month.
00:57Both visits brought protests from China, which claims Taiwan as part of its own territory
01:01and has threatened to take it with force.
01:04An active military officer also joined the Foreign Minister at the Forum.
