00:00Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from Bethpage Black at the end of the second day in the 45th Ryder Cup.
00:13And boy, what a day it was for Luke Donald's European team. After the two sessions today, the Europeans lead 11.5, 4.5, meaning that the visitors only need three points from tomorrow's 12 concluding singles to not only retain the trophy, but went on the first time on U.S. soil since 2012.
00:41A magnificent day's golf again from the Europeans, Tommy Fleetwood, another two matches for Donald, making that 4 out of 4 over the two days.
00:55And that's the second time that the Englishman has achieved that feat, having also had that tally in the win in France in 2018.
01:05It's got a bit tasty out there this afternoon. It's ramped up a bit from the opening morning, but it was quite tame, to be honest.
01:17The Americans have let themselves down outside the ropes, there's no doubt about that.
01:23Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, they reacted at times, but no real surprise because some of the abuse has been appalling, to be honest.
01:31However, the golf, the fantastic golf produced by the Europeans on the opening two days, has set up the opportunity for them to record an astonishing win, a big win at that.
01:47And they'll be able to finish off the job in style in Sunday's singles session.
