00:00Welcome everyone. So yes, a lot of people thought that the answer for this one was supposed to be 6.
00:06That my dear friends is incorrect. There are multiple reasons for that being incorrect.
00:11The first thing is we have a 3 factorial. Whenever there is an exclamation mark ahead of a number,
00:18that means it's a factorial. Means it is not just 3. The value of this is 3 multiplied by 2 multiplied by 1.
00:25Meaning, whenever there is a factorial involved, you need to do products of next number but in decreasing order.
00:36And you will keep doing that till the time you reach the value of 1.
00:40So here for 3 factorial, we know the value is 6.
00:44So now your actual question is changed to 36 divided by 2 multiplied by 6.
00:50Now at this point also, a lot of people think that let's do it this way.
00:5436 divided by 2 multiplied by 6 is 12. So answer is 3. No, that is also wrong.
01:00Now why is that wrong? There is a very simple explanation for that.
01:04That division and multiplication both hold equal precedence.
01:09So in sums like these, you just have to go from left to right.
01:13Whatever operation happens first on your left hand side has to be done first.
01:16So we will do 36 divided by 2 which is 18 multiplied by 6.
01:22So answer for this question is 108.
01:26I hope this is very very clear to everyone.
01:29That's it for today. I will see you in the next video.
01:32See you next time.
