00:01Welcome everyone so today we are going to understand why the answer for this question is not supposed to be 1.

00:06The reason for that is we have 40 divided by 4 then there is nothing over here okay and we have in a bracket which is 4 plus 6.

00:15So let's just follow the rule of BODMAS or PEMDIS whatever you all keep following in your schools both of them should get you the same answer.

00:24Okay so we keep 40 divided by 4 as it is because first we need to get done with the parenthesis or the brackets.

00:32So the bracket is what 4 plus 6 that gets you 10.

00:35Now since there is no sign between 4 and this bracket so that means it has to be multiplication.

00:40Now please remember that in these kind of sums division and multiplication hold equal precedence.

00:47So when you have sums like these you just have to go from left to right.

00:51So first we will do the operation which comes first from your left hand side which is 40 divided by 4 that is 10 multiplied by 10.

01:00So answer for this question is supposed to be 100.
