00:10Police called after work begins on controversial Banana Flats mural.
00:14Police were called to a listed building in Leith on Thursday afternoon to bring a halt to the work on a controversial mural following complaints from residents.
00:22Whilst planning permission had been granted by City of Edinburgh Council, the conditions within that approval had not been met.
00:28This, along with the lack of consent from private owners, spurred the confrontation between residents and the artist.
00:35Family paid tribute to Edinburgh resident killed in Lake District Collision.
00:40A cyclist killed in a road traffic collision in the English Lake District has been named as Neil Doggett, who lived in Edinburgh.
00:46The 64-year-old died following a road traffic collision on Kirkstone Pass on the 22nd of September.
00:52His family said,
00:53Neil was a much-loved father to two beautiful daughters, a husband and a brother.
01:00Neil frequently came back to Windermere to visit family, and riding up Kirkstone Pass was one of his joys.
01:06Although the circumstances of his death are tragic, his family know that he died in a place that was special to him.
01:12Neil's family would like to thank everyone who helped Neil at the time of his accident,
01:15and to Cumbria Police for the ongoing support that they are receiving.
01:18Police are continuing with their inquiries into the incident.

01:28Controversial Edinburgh Elsie Inglis statue set for approval with shorter plinth.
01:36Plans to erect a statue in memory of a renowned Edinburgh doctor and suffragist has been recommended for approval,
01:42on the condition that the plinth is shorter than originally planned.
01:45The application has been referred to the Development Management Subcommittee meeting on October 1st,
01:51because the application is of significant public interest,
01:55with 647 public representations received for this planning application,

02:04and 2 taking a neutral stance.
