00:00First, let's start off with the state of Kansas. Lawmakers debating some potential changes ahead
00:05of the brand new sports betting influx that will be coming on December the 1st. Missouri is going
00:12to launch sports betting, of course, in December. Kansas lawmakers are debating whether or not to
00:16change their current 10% tax model. Just like everybody else, industry reps say the setup has
00:22generated $36 million in growing in revenue. Some critics are arguing that Kansas ranks low
00:28nationally and consider alternatives like a single operator model looking to make more money in the
00:34sports betting universe. Keep an eye on Missouri. We'll see what their taxes look like coming up
00:38later this year. All right. Now, the game in the NFL tonight is a battle out west. All the teams are
00:44above 500 in the division. That will probably stop soon. Seahawks tonight, one and a half point
00:50favorites over the Cardinals. Originally, the Cardinals opened up as a favorite, then it went
00:54to a pick them. Now, Seattle a favorite tonight. Total of 43 and a half. Let's get a preview
00:59with the head coaches, Mike McDonald and Jonathan Gannon ahead of the West showdown.
01:06You know, really good preparation. The last three days, the guys have been done a great job
01:11trying to get their bodies and minds right ready for the game. It's a quick turnaround, obviously,
01:16but excited to go hop on the plane here and go play our game tomorrow. But I guess injuries just so
01:22we can preemptive strike this. Josh Jones is up. He'll be out with an ankle. Nick is doubtful.
01:31Zach Charbonnet, Boye, and Bradford are all questionable for the game.
01:35They got a good front. They can rush, you know, and then they're playing. They're stopping the run
01:40at a high level right now. So they're, you know, they're playing in front of the sticks on defense
01:45and they can pin their ears back and rush. And then they got good coverage guys in the back end
01:48that make the quarterback hold it. That typically bodes well for your, for your
01:55rush. But that's a, it's a really good front. Got a big time challenge.
02:02Coming up this weekend, it's the matchup that we've been waiting for. Micah Parsons
02:07and his Green Bay Packers get their first crack at the Dallas Cowboys with Parsons in a Green Bay
02:12Packers uniform. Parsons, they're limiting his media stuff as they probably should. He did speak
02:18once and once only yesterday, says there's no extra fuel going into this game. Yeah, right.
02:24Nah, uh, just for me, I just feel like my fuel's always been trying to be the best player.
02:29And you know, when you got a good team and you got to beat them, you got to show up in a primetime
02:33game. This is the moment that you got to be your best player for yourself, for your team and you
02:38know, everyone there. How do you make it just another game? I mean, them trading, it was the biggest
02:42story of the year in the NFL. How do you personally make it just another game? Well, you know,
02:47I just personally, like just knowing me, like once the game starts, who's going to be worried
02:53about any trade? Like it's just me against them five men in front of me. You know what I mean? And
02:58then we're got one common goal and that's to win the football game. And how we win the football game
03:03is winning the line of scrimmage and affecting Dak and how good he's been playing this year. So
03:09I think, you know, the fans, the media is going to get off on the pre-draft, the hype and all that.
03:14But once the games ain't no one talking about the trade, we're talking about winning a football
03:19game. All right, now let's get to the Baltimore Ravens. They take on the Kansas City Chiefs this
03:25weekend and they're going to be without their defensive tackle, Nnamdi Matabuke. He is out
03:29with a neck injury. He has over 21 sacks since the start of 2023. Their defensive tackle
03:34is ill afford to be lost by the Ravens as they can't stop anybody thus far on defense. Here's
03:40John Harbaugh on replacing Matabuke this week.
03:43Are you concerned about Nnamdi's situation and are you concerned this may be a long-term
03:47thing? Well, yeah, I would say I am concerned about it, but I'm not really in a position to
03:52comment on it right now. I haven't been given the okay to comment on it at this point. So
03:57he's not going to play this week, I can tell you that. And we're going to have to see going
04:02forward when they know what they need to know.
04:05You know, I mean, anything's possible. I'm not per se, but they're, you know, they're
04:19nursing some things. We're only less than 48 hours out from the end of the game. So
04:23that's, I have a good feeling about those guys, but, you know, we'll have to wait and see.
04:29Titans made a trade yesterday. Jarvis Brownlee Jr. was dealt to the Jets for a seventh round
04:37pick as the Tennessee Titans trying to figure out how to get better maybe with picks this
04:41season. Also, offensive or outside linebacker Nolan Smith is going to be out a couple of
04:46weeks, of course, with a strained tricep on the Philadelphia Eagles. Tonight in college
04:51football, we have one game. It is Army against East Carolina. ECU four and a half point favorites
04:57total 52 and a half. This is the lone game on the college football slate tonight. The
05:03Cleveland Guardians have taken first place all by themselves. They beat the Tigers five
05:08to one yesterday and their run continues. Tanner Bibby, six innings pitch, just one earned
05:13run. And Cleveland with a couple of more wins, not only can make the postseason, but clinch
05:18the American League Central. They're the hottest team in baseball. And Stephen Vogt, the manager,
05:24with a great shot to win the manager of the year, talked about their performance yesterday.
05:29Flaherty was outstanding as well. He sharp breaking balls, putting his fastball wherever
05:34he wanted and looked like George was looking to get something in the air with a runner on
05:38third less than two, exactly what you're trying to do and got the breaking ball and didn't
05:42miss it. So a really cool moment for George. Electrified this awesome crowd that we had
05:47tonight, got everybody's energy into it. And yeah, good thing we added on and bullpen did
05:53what it did. You say about your defense tonight? I mean, we talk about the defense every night
05:59and it's not enough. You know, the double plays, the line drive by Manzo, the sliding
06:04play by Hosey, where we still almost turned the double play. I mean, Rocchio stretched like
06:08a first baseman and still almost turned it. And they just continue to make great plays
06:13behind our pitching. And, you know, we take for granted the routine plays that these guys
06:18make because they make them look routine and they're not. They're a lot of fun to watch.
06:21And the American League Central now coming down to the wire with Cleveland,
06:26not only the odds on favorite, but the heavy favorite to win the division.
06:30Minus 750 over on the FanDuel Sportsbook. You see the record there, but Cleveland owns the
06:34tiebreaker. So it looks like with a couple more wins, they'll win the division. Same could be said
06:40for the Seattle Mariners. How about them winning the West against the Rockies yesterday? First time
06:45since 2001. And welcome Cal Raleigh to the 60 home run club. That's correct. 6-0. One away from
06:55Roger Maris and an outside shot to catch Sammy Sosa's 66. Incredible season for Cal Raleigh,
07:03the catcher of the Seattle Mariners. Yankees beat the White Sox 8-1 and they're closing in on the
07:09American League East because the Blue Jays keep losing to the Red Sox. So this could come right
07:14down to the final day of the season as well. The Blue Jays 90-68. The Yankees 90-68. So get ready
07:22for a fantastic finish coming up this weekend. All the Sunday games, by the way, begin in baseball
07:26at 3 o'clock Eastern. The Mets are also going to need some wins this weekend in Miami. They keep losing
07:31as well. They lose to the Cubs 10-3 yesterday and could be on the outside looking in, except for the fact
07:37that the Reds lost yesterday to the Pirates and Paul Skeens, who finished the season with a 1.97
07:43earned run average. The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks. So the Diamondbacks are still on the outside looking
07:49in. Cubs, of course, got the wild card along with the Padres. The final spot will go to either the
07:54Mets, the Diamondbacks, or the Reds, unless the Marlins pull off a miracle. I know that's not going to happen.
