00:00You know, say what you're talking about Kyler Murray.
00:01I'm not a Kyler guy outside of his highlights.
00:04Like, Kyler Murray, to me, is like, I was trying to think of a comparison for the show.
00:08Yeah.
00:09Because he's the only dude, like, under 5'10", that's ever had any success,
00:12with all due respect to Doug Flutie, in the history of the NFL.
00:16Yeah.
00:16Because he's one of the greatest athletes, you know, to ever play the quarterback position.
00:20First round pick in baseball as well.
00:21Like, when he runs, his feet look like Fred Flintstone's in the car.
00:26Like, wah, wah, wah.
00:27But he moves.
00:28He moves.
00:29Yeah, no, that dude can move.
00:30Like, I'd rather him out of the pocket than in the pocket.
00:32He's one of the most entertaining players to watch.
00:35But I was trying to think of a good analogy that we all understand.
00:40Yeah.
00:40You included and the guys downstairs who aren't that bright.
00:43And to me, Kyler Murray, and I'm going to go deep on this one.
00:49You have to be of a certain age you are to get this reference, all right?
00:53Kyler Murray is like Rafer Alston, a.k.a. Skip to my Lou.
00:59Skip to my Lou, yeah.
01:00Now, where did – now, Rafer Alston made it into the NBA.
01:03I think he played for the Raptors and the Rockets.
01:05Had like a 10-year career.
01:06Played for the Heat a little bit.
01:07Okay, right.
01:08Yeah.
01:08So, Skip to my Lou was his street nickname.
01:12Yeah.
01:12All right?
01:12But where did he first make a name for himself?
01:15Yeah.
01:15He made a name for himself when there was a shoe company called An One.
01:19Oh, yeah.
01:19And An One did one of the greatest guerrilla marketing campaigns I've ever seen for any
01:24brand, and that was they played street basketball.
01:28And they made a quote-unquote mixtape out of their street basketball games, which became
01:33legendary and produced people like Skip to my Lou and The Professor and a whole bunch of
01:38other guys who legitimately became stars, superstars, and household names.
01:43That's what Kyler Murray is.
01:44When you watch Kyler Murray's highlight tape and you didn't see anything else, you would
01:50have said, wow, that kid can play.
01:53I don't want to miss another game that he plays.
01:57The problem, of course, is that highlights in the NFL, four plays a game, six plays a game,
02:04a couple drives here and there, right?
02:07Maybe a crunch time play, which we've seen out of him.
02:10But the mundane parts of football, the third and sixes, the second and tens, where there's
02:16not a major highlight play for us to watch, he's pedestrian.
02:20He's average, much like when you watch the An One tape and you only see the high-flying
02:26dunks, the crazy handle, the no-look passes, and that type of stuff.
02:31We all said the same thing, and I remember talking about it.
02:34If I took the five best An One players, could they beat an NBA team?
02:39And we're all like, you're damn right they could.
02:42Eh, wrong.
02:43They would lose by 40 to any starting five of any NBA team in the history of basketball.
02:49Yes.
