00:00The Cardinals are thought to be the worst team heading into the year.
00:04We're all on it, right?
00:06Under four and a half wins, it's been bet down to three and a half wins.
00:09I'll ask that question to Doug about Carson Beck's performance.
00:13Does Carson Beck's performance change the probability
00:16that the Cardinals are the worst team in football?
00:20Bet Chris Arizona has these odds for the team with the fewest wins
00:24this upcoming season, and the Cardinals are two to one.
00:29To have the fewest wins, but the Dolphins coming in right behind them
00:34at three to one is starting to get my attention
00:38because look at the jump from the Cardinals and the Dolphins.
00:43The jump goes to the Jets at eight and a half to one.
00:46Then the Raiders at nine to one, the Browns and the Falcons come in
00:51at 11 to one and 15 to one at Bet Chris Arizona.
00:55It's interesting because obviously Bet Chris is in Arizona,
00:59so are Cardinal fans trying to make money on their own team
01:03by betting that they will have the fewest wins in the NFL?
01:07That might be a better approach than betting under four and a half wins
01:12because the likelihood of somebody having three wins,
01:19say the Cardinals win four games, right?
01:22The likelihood of somebody going worse than that in the NFL
01:26is highly improbable in my mind.
01:30The Dolphins are interesting, however, because we put this up a while ago,
01:34and again, excuse the Kyler Murray.
01:36He is now with the Vikings, but he was the Cardinals quarterback last year.
01:39This schedule is ridiculous, okay?
01:42Week 14 being the bye, opening at the Chargers,
01:47then taking on the Seahawks, defending champs,
01:50taking on the 49ers, then the Giants in back-to-back weeks on the road.
01:56You have Detroit at home, the Rams on the road, Denver, Dallas,
02:01again back to Seattle, then the Rams again, then at Kansas City.
02:04We'll see what Washington looks like, but then you have the Eagles at home.
02:08I mean, that schedule is, for a bad football team, that schedule is brutal, okay?
02:12It is 100% worth the four and a half, under four and a half,
02:15trying to find five wins in that schedule is ridiculous.
02:19But Carson Beck played really well.
02:22I mean, Carson Beck, I don't know, man.
02:26Like, Carson Beck played well enough that it gave me at least a little pause.
02:31There's a video of him from practice yesterday throwing a no-look touchdown pass
02:35that was like, okay, this guy is 24 years old.
02:39He's not like a 21-year-old rookie.
02:42Like, he's been around.
02:43He's played a lot of football.
02:45So could he step right in and play immediately?
02:49I mean, he could, I guess.
02:52Jacoby Brissett is the projected starter.
02:54He negotiated a one-year deal.
02:56He was his own agent.
02:57And he negotiated a deal for one year to be the starting quarterback for the Cardinals.
03:02But they drafted Carson Beck in the third round.
03:05And he started.
03:07Look, sometimes you have to just play the part.
03:11If you look the part, people might start to believe you and believe in you.
03:16And watching Carson Beck play, he didn't look overmatched.
03:21He looked like he belonged.
03:23Now, that's a practice.
03:24I think people are getting a little bit too up in arms about this.
