00:05latest details on the first day of debates at the United Nations General Assembly Hill.

00:19At this very time, I tell you that the afternoon session of the first day of the general debate

00:25is still going on, full force.

00:29The president of Uruguay, Yamandu Orsi, was already given his speech at the General Assembly.

00:36He put emphasis that Uruguay wants to push multilateralism.

00:43He denounced the conflicts around the world, especially he was mentioning the Middle East

00:49and Ukraine, and also put emphasis on Uruguay as a peace mediator, a peace country that has

00:58a very big reputation about participating in the mediation of conflicts.

01:04Expected in this afternoon session, President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, that we anticipate

01:13that he's going to denounce the decision of the US to decertify Colombia as a country that

01:21fights against the drug trafficking and the drug production.

01:26He said that there's no country that can decide that has a right to put their nose in other

01:32countries' business.

01:34And he always have already denounced the US as the biggest consumption of drugs.

01:40In the morning session, it was a historic morning because, as usual, the opening session was in

01:47the hands of Brazil.

01:49President Lula was opening the session and he was putting special emphasis in democracy,

01:56in sovereignty, in sovereignty, also denouncing what he believes that the structure of the UN needs

02:04to be revised, especially the Security Council.
