00:00The Philippine National Police, or PNP, is studying the creation of a top-level task group

00:05to assist in the validation of flood-controlled projects by the Department of Public Works and Highways.

00:11This move follows a request from DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon,

00:16conveyed through DILG Secretary John Vikrimulia, asking for police support nationwide.

00:23Acting PNP Chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencho Nartates Jr. said

00:27the task group will ensure security, maintain order, and prevent disruptions during the validation process

00:34in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s goal for truth and accountability.

00:39He also assured that the new deployment will not affect the PNP's existing duties.
