00:15The Department of Justice, or DOJ, has issued subpoenas against those allegedly involved in five ghost flood control projects in Bulacan.
00:25According to Justice Department OIC Secretary Frederick Vida, they have started with the delivery of the subpoenas personally to the respondents of the complaint.
00:35Some of the subpoenas have been personally served, yung initial na five cases, wherein the DOJ has been deputized by the Office of the Ombudsman.
00:46The complaint was based on the recommendation of the National Bureau of Investigation, or NPI, to the DOJ to file complaints which was relayed to the Ombudsman.
00:55However, the Ombudsman has deputized the DOJ to conduct a preliminary investigation, or PI.
01:01The complaint pertains to malversation through falsification, perjury, and violations of anti-graft and corrupt practices.
01:09The respondents are former officials of the DPWH, namely Henry Alcantara, Bryce Hernandez, RJ Domasig, JP Mendoza, Sally Santos, and four others.
01:21The DOJ assures respondents will undergo due process.
01:25May karapatan din.
01:27Diba? Pare-pareho may mga karapatan.
01:29At hindi ito tayo dapat mawawaglit sa rule of law.
01:32Kasi pag nag-shortcut ho tayo, dan ho tayo magkakawindang-windang.
01:36Sundin natin ang proseso.
01:39Gaano man ho kabagal, umiikot po ang proseso.
01:42Pero pinipilit po natin pag-alawin ng tama.
01:44Prosecutor General Richard Fadulion confirmed that the first preliminary investigation is scheduled on November 10.
01:52The DOJ is still optimistic that the hearing will only last for a month.
01:56By December, may filing of cases na sa mga.
