Noida Shock: Class 6 Girl Dies in School Under Suspicious Circumstances, Parents Allege Negligence!

Noida – A 10-year-old student of Presidium School, Sector 31, died on September 4 under mysterious circumstances, sparking outrage and allegations of negligence against the school.

The student, Tanishka Sharma (Class 6), collapsed outside the washroom after the lunch break. She was rushed to Kailash Hospital, about 2 km away, where doctors declared her brought dead.

According to the school, the child fainted and fell after choking on food particles. However, her mother, Tripta Sharma, has alleged that the staff gave contradictory versions and delayed taking her to hospital by first treating her in the infirmary.

“The sudden collapse of my daughter, who was hale and hearty before leaving for school, raises serious doubts. Different accounts have been given by the school about how she died. We want the truth,” the mother said in her complaint.

The girl’s uncle, Vaibhav Sharma, alleged that the staff initially claimed she fainted while eating, and later said she collapsed near the stairs. He said the delay in shifting her to hospital may have cost her life.

Police confirmed that an autopsy was videographed and conducted by a medical panel. No external injuries were found, and the viscera has been preserved for forensic analysis. Officers said no foul play has emerged so far, but a clear cause of death will be known only after the viscera report.

The parents filed a complaint on September 8, demanding registration of an FIR and a detailed probe into the school’s emergency response, medical records, staff statements, and CCTV footage.

Meanwhile, a school spokesperson reiterated that food particles had got stuck in the child’s throat during lunch and that she was taken to hospital immediately.

The case remains under investigation.
