00:00An angry Dabo Swinney this week has them lined up against Syracuse at home.
00:04A 16.5 point favorite to 17.5, depending on where you're shopping at, a 54.5.
00:10Cade Klubnick and the boys coming into the season, could they win a national championship?
00:13Now we're just looking at them, can they be a 500 team, Joe?
00:15Yeah, it's incredible.
00:17It looks like when they lost four conference games a couple of years ago
00:20and we were answering the questions about Dabo Swinney, did he lose his fastball?
00:25I actually like this game, and maybe I can get you in, and I'll tell you why.
00:28Okay, so they've won six straight Clemson has in the series, right?
00:33Now, Steve Angeli is the passing leader, just like Kyle McCord.
00:37He leads all FBS 1,083 yards.
00:40I said when I looked at this line, 17.5, Clemson has to make a statement, right?
00:45I lean to Clemson with the points, but I really like the over, Donnie,
00:49because we've got to get Cade Klubnick, if they have any shot, to get back.
00:53And Clemson's not dead because they only have one conference loss.
00:56They run the table, win the ACC.
00:58They're going to be exactly where they were last year, potentially an at-large team,
01:02but it starts today.
01:03They struggled against LSU.
01:06They struggled against Troy.
01:08They struggled last week in the loss, and all of a sudden now,
01:11Cade Klubnick, that threw 36 touchdown passes, hasn't stepped up.
01:15I love their total today.
01:17I don't know if they cover.
01:18I lean to Clemson to cover the 16.5,
01:22but I think we blow right through this total with Angeli and Syracuse push and pace.
01:28I think we have points of play.
01:30Clemson changes it up today.
01:31How about this?
01:32How about they don't run down and touch Howard's Rock?
01:34They don't get on the buses and go to the opposite side.
01:36They just come out somber and handle their business.
01:38But again, if they lose this game or keep it close, man,
01:40I would love to be in that press conference again.
01:42They establish, like, why don't you guys win anymore, Joe?
01:45I mean, come on now.
01:45He's getting upset.
01:46But he did bring success to the program, right?
01:49Absolutely.
01:49I mean, two national championships.
01:51The problem is he didn't buy into the current landscape of college football.
01:55It's one thing when you start to see, hey,
01:58other teams in the conference are starting to catch us.
02:00You lose four conference games for the first time since, what,
02:04basically a decade.
02:05And all of a sudden now you don't want to take in transfer talent.
02:09I will say at home, the mystique at home has sort of tarnished.
02:13They have six home losses dating back to 2015.
02:17Three have been over the last year and a half.
02:19That can't happen.
02:21They need to step up.
02:22But that's why I buy into the over tonight.
02:24By the way, it's a long way to go in college football.
02:26Teams can certainly make comebacks, Joe, as we've seen here in the advent of you
02:29can probably lose two games and get back into it.
02:30Now, correct me if I'm wrong.
02:31They play in the ACC, which isn't a great football conference.
02:34But you're not beating a lot of ACC teams right now.
02:37That's the issue.
02:38Oh, we'll run the table.
02:39You haven't even shown the propensity to do that just yet.
02:41We'll find out a lot about the Clemson Tigers in a bounce-back effort.
02:44Are they angry?
02:45Are they running it up where it's like, man, what is Club Nick doing again?
02:48You don't want that.
