00:00And Scott, I believe you and I both took a shot at some daily doubles.
00:04You're going to start here, and you're going to key on Clicquot.
00:07Yeah, not every day you get grade one daily doubles to take a swing at.
00:11So I figured, why not do so?
00:13And it's a shot that I like because I think Clicquot is going to get somewhat overlooked in the wagering,
00:18even if she gets bet down from that eight to one.
00:20She's got to prove herself from a class perspective.
00:22But if we can get through with Clicquot, I'll probably also place a win wager on, assuming the price is right.
00:28We have two shots in the 14th, which should we talk about those now, or do you want to wait to the—
00:34Yeah, tell us who you have in your doubles, for sure.
00:36Yeah, no, I mean, I think Baeza is the clear one to beat.
00:38I want to have that daily double.
00:40And in fact, you know, I'm going to press up.
00:42I'm going to play that one for a higher denomination.
00:45But I'm also going to want to have it with David of Aethan, too.
00:48If Brendan Walsh can spring this back-to-back price situation with winners, springing upsets,
00:55I want to be involved in that double.
00:56I'll take a look at my double.
00:58And if you're going to take some similarities or if you're going to take any kind of angles from the two tickets that we have,
01:05neither one of us are using the two speeds down on the inside, Scottish, Lassie, and La Cara,
01:09kind of thinking that they may impact each other's chances in here.
01:13I'll use good cheer on one ticket and just single good cheer,
01:16and then use the price horses that I like a little bit in the Pennsylvania Derby.
01:20Then on the other ticket, I'll throw in a couple of the price horses I have in the cotillion.
01:25And then if Gosker's right, then I can hit those tickets two different ways if it comes in, like, good cheer and Gosker.
01:31So what I did, Scott, in the cotillion, I threw in the price horses that I liked with good cheer.
01:36Because I thought Indy Bay and Dry Powder were interesting price horses there.
01:40And honestly, if you're someone who wants to add one more, why not throw Scott's three, Clicquot, onto that ticket for just a few extra bucks?
01:47And if you like Gosker the same way that I do, you can try to single with Gosker.
01:51Or you can start it with good cheer.
01:53And then, Scott, I used that same price horse you did in the Pennsylvania Derby, David of Athens, along with Gosker, four and nine.
02:01So that's how we will try to start our daily doubles.
02:03And as we move to the 14th, the race that we have individual race wagers on, Scott, you got an Xacta and a try here.
02:12Talk to us through your wagers.
02:13Yeah, I think Baez is the clear horse to be in here.
02:16But that's the horse I want to wager on.
02:18You spoke about it.
02:18You know, maybe going to be a little bit of an underlay.
02:21So I don't want to be all in on that.
02:23I want my gambling in the race to be built around a horse that's going to be a price.
02:27And they can give me a real shot to hit something worthwhile.
02:30And that's David of Athens.
02:31I've got him keyed for second and third.
02:34I think, you know, him winning this raises a lot to ask.
02:37The way I foresee it is Baeza running him down in the lane.
02:40But there's a number of scenarios that could work out for him.
02:43He's just got the upside.
02:45I think he'll be some value in here.
02:46So we'll try to get David of Athens into the number with the most likely horses, Baeza and Gosker, who I think is the second most likely winner.
02:55If you're looking at Scott's trifecta, there's a very good opportunity, Scott,
02:58that if that trifecta came in like 9-1-4, you're looking at a really nice payout or something like that.
03:07Or if it comes in with Baeza, Gosker, David of Athens, you're still looking at a solid return on your investment where you'll make some money back.
03:15But that's what's nice about the wagers like that trifectas and the superfectas.
03:20There's a real range of payouts that you could have just based on the way the horses come in order.
03:25There's not really set in stone any payout of what it's going to be if you hit.
03:29No, that's exactly right.
03:30And that's why I like keying around a horse that kind of gives me that higher ceiling.
03:35I think Baeza is probably going to be there, but there's a chance he doesn't fire.
03:38We've seen it before.
03:39It allows me to have a chance at that 9-1-4, which would be a huge score.
03:43So Scott's going to play an exacta there and a trifecta, race number 14 at Parks on Saturday.
03:49For me, Scott, if I get knocked out of my daily double, it'll come down to Gosker.
03:53I was telling a funny story yesterday when our colleague Ashley was talking about the last time she cried.
03:59And I said, well, I cried just the other day when I was watching some replays of the horses I've been playing recently.
04:04And one of the horses that I had a great day the last time, one of the times that he won,
04:09back on April the 12th in the Lexington when Gosker won, that was one of those days where I hit the pick five.
04:14I had all the horses in the row there.
04:16And it made me, as a gambler, watching that race again, I went back and watched all the replays from that day.
04:22And it got me some good feels inside, Scott.
04:24So I hope now we're going to get that energy trending back in the right direction.
04:29Gosker is going to be the win play for me here.
04:31What would, and I saw you have Gosker kind of in the second spot.
04:34What would be a price that you'd be okay with taking on Gosker if you were going to make a win wager?
04:39I think seven to two, maybe.
04:41I don't know if I'd want to take below that.
04:42Nothing less than that.
04:43But what do you think?
04:45Completely agree.
04:46That's exactly what I had.
04:47At seven to two or above, I'm going to put a win wager on Gosker.
04:50What's nice is if you're sitting there, 20 bucks to win on a horse that's in that four to one-ish range,
04:55it can get you back right around 100 bucks.
04:57So there's nothing wrong with that.
