00:00I just got home my back door is kicked in and my girl ain't answering the phone okay what's your
00:18name my name is Christopher Jackson my son's inside with her and everything I'm about to go
00:22in and see what is going on okay why don't you just wait for office so I'll get him over there
00:27all right thank you
00:28every suspect accused of a crime has the right to remain silent many agree to be interrogated
00:39anyway but they can stop the interview at any moment making it a race against time
00:45justice hangs in the balance
00:57when officers arrived on scene they saw Christopher Jackson standing in the driveway he reported that
01:09he had just arrived home from working the overnight shift and found that his back door was kicked open
01:15he was upset very anxious Chris stated that his fiance Angela was inside the house and also their young
01:25son he believed is still in the house you could just see the the look on Chris's face that he knew
01:31something was wrong and he was fearing the worst officers found the back door of the house appeared
01:37to be kicked in there was a noticeable boot print on the white door the door frame itself was fractured
01:46there were four of us that went inside we don't know what's going on in there we don't know if
01:59someone's being held hostage we don't know if someone's waiting around the corner so we just went room by
02:04room the officers made their way into a living room area they did not notice anything that would be
02:11considered out of the ordinary it was fairly clean and picked up they went down the hallway where they
02:19found two bedrooms one is locked they searched the other room across the hall and that's where they
02:25found the young child inside of his crib he appeared to have been sleeping wasn't harmed he was seemed in good
02:31condition when the officers picked up the child took him outside and brought him to his father he was
02:38relieved to see that his child was unharmed but that very quickly changed to concern about why isn't
02:45Angela out after that was completed is when we prepared to enter through the the locked door I stood
02:53next to the door while another officer kicked the door open they could see a large bed and as you walked in
03:04you could immediately see that there was blood on the bed and there appeared to be somewhat of a
03:11scuffle as I turned the corner between the bed and the wall I saw a younger white female laying on the
03:21the floor she was laying on her back appeared to be wearing sleeping clothes covered in blood it became
03:30apparent that she had suffered multiple stab wounds they were able to determine that the victim was a
03:38Angela wild and that she was in fact deceased
03:41Angela grew up in Alabama she was very southern always nice always polite I don't think there was one time where she
03:52she didn't call me miss crystal she ended up in Minot North Dakota and that's where I met her in nursing
03:59school she had a full scholarship for nursing it was like fulfilling a dream she liked interior decorating I
04:09said the only thing I have hanging on my walls is a clock and she said I could totally come over and hope
04:15you figure out where to hang all your pictures she always talked about how Chris is so sweet and he
04:22took the brunt of a lot of the household things because she was so busy with nursing school she always
04:29said nice wonderful things about him and her children she did talk about her kids a lot and how much she loved
04:34them she had so much more than just a bright future ahead of her she had her children's lives to watch them grow up and that was all taken away from her
05:04when they looked at Angela's body they could see blood coagulating behind her head on the floor
05:12and on the back of her neck which told us that she had been dead at least some hours
05:18it appeared there might have been some possible DNA underneath her fingernails it appeared that she
05:24may have scratched or at least fought over briefly with her attacker so they collected swabs
05:30with the amount of times that she was stabbed we definitely knew that whoever attacked Angela
05:36had anger and definitely wanted her dead
05:39it did raise a red flag to me that Christopher Jackson did not go into the home when he initially
05:52arrived home that morning we all feel the first thing we would do would be rush in and check on our loved
05:59ones so at this point we told him we wanted to speak to him and ask him to voluntarily come down to the police
06:06department
06:07there's a lot of water just a little bit so you don't know if we're not
06:25um where do you work at Walmart Walmart okay what do you do at Walmart stock okay what are the hours
06:43for that my hours are like 10 7 okay so you're going to work at 10 does she give you a ride to work
06:50then okay so walk me through what happened this morning I always call her on break okay just to see
07:00how she's doing just to talk to her because over the nights what has break break is but did you call
07:09clarify okay okay and how did that call her it did I figured okay she's just tired but she always picks up
07:21whenever I call her what time does she usually take you up from work she's usually there about 7
07:27and she's not out there this morning and I keep calling and she's not picking up the phone
07:38so I call the taxi I get to the house so I walk around back and the door is open
07:49there's something in my stomach just felt wrong so I called the cops
08:03looking at Chris the way he's sitting right there he's pretty open it's not like he's trying
08:24to hide anything you know he's not crossed legs not crossed arms he seemed genuinely hurt in that
08:30and heartbroken at that point was Angela working at the time no she just got into a nursing home you
08:36guys are you oh yeah of course we're in relationship how long when you're home you guys leave the door
08:42it's unlocked except for the front door and the back door always leave a walk
08:47how was your relationship now with Angela oh it was very stable
08:55okay we went up the buildings like earlier this week because she was excited because she got a pregnancy test
09:10so Angela was pregnant
09:16she was trying to keep it a secret from me for uh Christmas she kind of glowed a little bit so
09:26I could tell by the way he talked about Angela that he really did love her
09:31his reactions his emotions everything seemed very appropriate I had no evidence that led us to
09:40believe that there was anything toxic in his relationship with Angela
09:44my initial gut feeling at that point was that he probably was not the one who murdered Angela
09:52what's your guys typical evening life before you go to work
09:56we're shut nothing seems out of place you walk by the front window in between the barn
10:01there's people that might not like her but I don't think anybody would be to that point
10:07I know that you said that the dispatcher told you not to go in the house that officers were on their way
10:14did you go into the house
10:16something in my stomach say not do
10:18okay so last time you were in the house was when you left for work last night
10:23yes ma'am
10:24who would harm Angela if that's the case
10:29Richie
10:29Chris told us that Richie Wilder was Angela Wilder's ex-husband
10:36they also shared a biological child together as well as Angela's firstborn child was adopted by Richie while they were married
10:46and they shared custody of the children
10:49what's her relationship like with Richie?
11:01he doesn't like her she doesn't like him
11:04he was in the military and he got kicked out because he was
11:09and then we got divorced over
11:11is he still living in my home?
11:13no yeah
11:14we always had to take the kids up to marketplace foods Sunday at 5 and not go in there so Angela didn't have to
11:22the Sunday the custody exchange then?
11:26is that every week?
11:27every week
11:28Richie Wilder and Angela Wilder had a very volatile relationship
11:46there was abuse that was documented
11:51he had a motive for this crime with the custody of the children
11:55and at that point it really put Richie on our radar
11:59as a person who we need to talk to
12:02that morning I was driving to school and drove by her house
12:22and her house was surrounded in yellow tape
12:24I called
12:27got no answer
12:28texted right away
12:30and said are you okay?
12:32got no answer
12:33the next day
12:36I learned that she was gone
12:38that Angela was gone
12:40it was an extreme shock
12:44she was one of the most compassionate
12:46caring people you'll ever meet
12:48it was heartbreaking
12:51when's the last time you saw Richie?
13:11well that's Sunday
13:16the custody exchange then?
13:19yeah
13:19okay
13:20we get there and Cindy's sitting over there
13:22freaking Honda
13:23who's Cindy?
13:25Cindy's Richie's wife
13:26Cindy sits there and scowls at us the entire time
13:30I walk the kids in and tell them I love them and everything
13:33each time we get the kids back
13:36it's always
13:37something about Richie said this
13:40we did that
13:41it's always putting us down
13:43and just clawing this trash
13:45okay
13:47okay
13:48I'm gonna step out for just a second
13:50do you need anything?
13:52no
13:52are you done with your water?
13:53do you want some more?
13:54no
13:54come on
13:55can we get you some more water?
13:56okay
13:57once we were done talking to him
14:00he also agreed to take a polygraph
14:02and he passed that
14:03we contacted his employer
14:09we were able to get the video
14:11of all the cameras in this
14:13in the business
14:14and we were able to confirm
14:17that Chris never left his job that night
14:20Mr. Jackson's alibi was solid
14:23at that point
14:24I was very confident
14:26that Christopher Jackson was innocent
14:27so we definitely wanted to get Richie Wilder
14:31into the police department
14:32so we could see what his story is
14:34and see where he was at
14:35and see what he had to say about all of this
14:37do you want to say
14:56oh yes sir
14:57yep
15:03hello
15:05hi are you Richie?
15:06yes ma'am
15:06hi Richie
15:07my name is Detective Christa
15:08and I'm Sergeant Detective Dave Goodman
15:11um
15:12I'm not sure what patrol told you
15:14or the officers told you
15:15when they came up to the house
15:16to give time
15:16I needed to come down
15:17and answer your question
15:18did they tell you what about?
15:20well I had some
15:21got some messages
15:22that they text
15:23and then I saw
15:23on Facebook
15:24that something happened
15:25I don't know
15:27I know my wife
15:28when she drove my
15:29school today
15:30she saw some car cars out there
15:31when we said out there
15:33you're talking about
15:34um
15:34Maxwell's house
15:35Angela's house
15:36Angela's house
15:37sorry
15:37okay
15:38what happened to your face?
15:40did you get a scratch in your face?
15:41yeah
15:41that's from my kidney
15:42well the first things everybody noticed
15:45was he had a
15:45small scratch
15:46under one of his eyes
15:47which appeared to be
15:48pretty fresh
15:49which kind of
15:50hyped up everybody's
15:51senses right away
15:52somebody who was stabbed
15:54somebody who was stabbed
15:54in a violent encounter
15:55more than likely struggled
15:56wouldn't be unrealistic
15:57to think that
15:58you know they might have
15:59scratched their assailant
16:00and how did that happen?
16:03we play wrestle
16:04slash play fight
16:05sometimes he
16:05clawed me up
16:06he had a long figure
16:08out sometimes
16:08when did that happen?
16:10that happened yesterday
16:11and tell me about
16:12the scenario
16:13of what you guys
16:15were doing
16:15when that happened
16:16oh just in the living room
16:17I usually get on my knees
16:18and we kind of
16:19play around
16:19the thing I don't want to hear
16:20is usually
16:21I mean tell me exactly
16:23what happened
16:24oh
16:24I could see
16:25his brain working
16:26when I asked him
16:28about the scratch
16:28you could tell
16:29that he's uncomfortable
16:30explaining this
16:32and he keeps falling back
16:34on a memory
16:35I believe
16:35of him
16:36wrestling with his son
16:38and that was a huge
16:39red flag for us
16:40okay
16:42did you work last night?
16:45from 7-0-1
16:46and you were at
16:48Trinity that whole time?
16:49yes sir
16:50we can't leave the hospital
16:51without permission
16:52where'd you go after
16:53you left work?
16:54straight home
16:55can anybody tell us
16:57what time you got home?
16:58Cindy
16:58Cindy can
16:59okay
17:00did you ever leave
17:02to go anywhere
17:02in the middle of the night?
17:03no I have
17:04have you ever been
17:05inside her house?
17:06no sir
17:07do you ever
17:07read statements to Angela
17:09about taking the kids
17:10away from her?
17:11what did that cost
17:11between the two of you then?
17:15you consider yourself
17:16a smart man Richie?
17:19I don't know what it is
17:20you can certainly
17:21put two and two together
17:22right?
17:22yes
17:23so what is the two and two
17:24that you've put together
17:25in this situation?
17:26well somebody passed away
17:27I know that
17:28I just don't know
17:30but we're doing
17:32an investigation here
17:33and
17:33and obviously
17:34this is serious
17:35we have you down here
17:36yes
17:36and
17:37and I'll tell you
17:38Angela's dead
17:39but what do you know
17:58about that?
17:59about what?
18:00about Angela being dead
18:01I think it's what you said
18:04I'll tell you what
18:05there's a lot of fingers
18:06pointing right at you
18:08well yeah
18:08because I'm her ex-husband
18:11right?
18:11well you're her ex-husband
18:12and you guys
18:14have a volatile
18:15relationship
18:16yeah
18:16did you hurt her?
18:21no
18:22did you kill her?
18:23no
18:24no?
18:25no
18:25I don't know anything
18:27about it
18:28your DNA
18:30your DNA's not gonna show up
18:31anywhere on her
18:32it'll show up
18:34under her fingernails
18:35your DNA's not gonna show up
18:39in her house
18:39no
18:40I've never been to her house
18:42and if I did
18:44I would tell you
18:44if anybody ever accused me
18:47of something
18:47I didn't do
18:48I'd be angry
18:50but he was very
18:52calm
18:53and non-caring
18:54just sits there quiet
18:56it just didn't make
18:58much sense
18:59you know
19:00I try and think
19:01of people that
19:02that would benefit
19:05from this
19:06and again
19:09it brings me back
19:10to you
19:10but it also brings me
19:11to Cindy
19:12I mean
19:13it could be something
19:14maybe that Cindy's
19:15just tired of dealing
19:16with
19:17all this
19:17pain in the ass
19:18custody
19:19do you think
19:21she killed Angela?
19:24not Cindy
19:27how confident
19:29are you on that?
19:30100%
19:31would you take
19:33a polygraph exam?
19:34I mean yeah
19:34if I need to
19:35I got in a hive
19:38I want to get to
19:39the bottom of it
19:40because I want to
19:40clear my name
19:41okay
19:42you know
19:43let's start
19:45with the polygraph
19:46you'll be here
19:47at 8 o'clock
19:48tonight?
19:48yeah
19:48okay
19:49I'm gonna grab
19:52a camera
19:53and just take
19:53some pictures
19:54of your
19:54your scratch
19:56on your face
19:56and
19:57we'd like to
19:59look through
19:59your phone
19:59and your vehicle
20:00and
20:01your wife's vehicle
20:03okay
20:04just put your hand
20:10straight out
20:11can you lift
20:14your shirt up
20:14for me?
20:15sure
20:15are you
20:16a t-shirt?
20:16t-shirt
20:17no no no
20:17no no
20:18no
20:18now this is
20:19with the
20:20hand that's
20:20wobbling
20:21against
20:21Richie was
20:31high on our
20:31person of interest
20:32list at that
20:32point
20:33it was
20:35obvious that
20:36we had rattled
20:37his cage
20:37and that
20:38he was
20:38uncomfortable
20:39I wanted him
20:41to understand
20:42that we're not
20:42going to go
20:43away
20:43I wanted him
20:44to go home
20:45with that thought
20:46in his mind
20:47that he's in
20:47trouble
20:48she confirmed
21:08that
21:08Richie came
21:10right home
21:10from work
21:11she claimed
21:12that she woke
21:13up in the middle
21:13of the night
21:13he was still
21:14in bed beside
21:15her
21:15he was there
21:16all night
21:17we suspected
21:19that she
21:19might have
21:20been covering
21:20for Richie
21:21but she
21:22didn't seem
21:22all that
21:22concerned
21:23that Angelo
21:23was dead
21:24and that
21:25she'd been
21:25murdered
21:25it was just
21:27strange
21:28when the
21:36crime scene
21:37team
21:37processed
21:38the Honda
21:38pilot
21:39one of the
21:40crime scene
21:41officers
21:41located a
21:42small dot
21:44on the
21:45passenger door
21:46it was
21:47dark brown
21:48in color
21:48and smaller
21:49than a
21:50pencil eraser
21:51it came
21:52back as
21:53human blood
21:53so we
21:55just have
21:55the blood
21:55in for
21:56DNA testing
21:57at that
21:59point it
21:59becomes a
22:00waiting game
22:00we're just
22:18kind of
22:18all added
22:18all added
22:18up to
22:19more and
22:20more
22:20suspicious
22:20shouldn't
22:21take that
22:22much effort
22:22to say
22:23yeah
22:23I'll do
22:23this
22:24if you're
22:24not
22:24involved
22:24we're pretty
22:26well in agreement
22:27that this is our
22:27prime suspect
22:28every little piece
22:30we had was
22:30pointing right
22:31towards Richie
22:32Wilder
22:32Richie worked in a local hospital
23:00and they found out rather
23:02quickly that Richie was a
23:03very popular with
23:04some of the female
23:05co-workers
23:06Richie was having
23:08affairs with different
23:09women throughout the
23:10hospital
23:11he really wasn't the
23:13greatest guy when it
23:14came to how he would
23:14treat women
23:15but that doesn't help us
23:17build our case
23:18against him as a
23:19murderer
23:20we just have to keep
23:22following up on
23:22everything we can
23:23think of
23:24about a month after
23:39the murder
23:40we did receive a call
23:42from the North Dakota
23:43State Crime Lab
23:44they told us that
23:47the swab taken
23:48from the Honda
23:49Pilot
23:49was Angela Wilder's
23:51luck
23:52finding Angela
24:10Wilder's blood in
24:11Cynthia Wilder's
24:13Honda Pilot
24:13was a huge break
24:15for us
24:15it was a very
24:17emotional moment
24:18Angela's DNA
24:20should not have been
24:21in that could be a
24:21ultimately we got
24:23the DNA back from
24:25the fingernail
24:25scrapings of Angela
24:26that showed Richie's
24:28DNA underneath there
24:29that was the
24:31breaking moment in
24:32this case
24:33took him to the police
24:51department
24:52and Richie
24:52lawyered up
24:53and he wasn't going
24:54to talk to us anymore
24:54at this point
25:11we highly suspected
25:12that she had
25:12information about
25:13the homicide
25:14she lied
25:16during the first
25:17interview
25:17when she said
25:18that he didn't
25:18leave anywhere
25:19during the night
25:20we knew
25:21that she
25:22was going
25:22to stick
25:23to her story
25:23so we had
25:25to say
25:25something shocking
25:26that would
25:26change the course
25:27of that
25:28we have
25:30Richie down
25:31here
25:31do you know
25:32why we have
25:33Richie down
25:33here
25:33we've arrested
25:36Richie for the
25:37murder of Angela
25:38Wilder
25:38can you tell me
25:42we want you
25:47to be honest
25:47with us
25:48this time
25:48I have
25:49nothing to say
25:50Cindy we have
25:52a lot that we
25:53want to share
25:53with you
25:53too
25:54stuff that I
25:55would think
25:55that you
25:56would want
25:56to know
25:57I don't mean
25:58any disrespect
25:59by saying
26:00this Cindy
26:01I'm a little
26:02bit confused
26:03about your
26:04relationship
26:05with Richie
26:05I know
26:07he's your
26:07husband
26:07but I'll
26:09tell you
26:09what
26:09you don't
26:10fit the
26:10criteria
26:11of the other
26:11women that
26:12he's sleeping
26:12with
26:13not at all
26:14do not
26:16accuse him
26:16of that
26:17we don't
26:17have to
26:18accuse him
26:18we have
26:19proof
26:19this is
26:22Jennifer
26:22and Jennifer
26:23told us
26:24about the
26:25sexual
26:25relationship
26:26she's tied
26:26with Richie
26:27since the
26:28beginning
26:28of the
26:28year
26:29that's
26:30awesome
26:31congratulations
26:32we're not
26:33trying to
26:33offend you
26:35or kiss you
26:35out with that
26:36information
26:36because I know
26:37it's not
26:38true
26:38we can play
26:39the recordings
26:39know who
26:42this is
26:43no
26:44that's another
26:45one
26:45he's got
26:47relationships
26:48with all three
26:49of these
26:49women
26:49well I want to
26:50see proof of
26:51that
26:51do you have it
26:52on video
26:52we have
26:53Joanna on video
26:54saying it
26:54I don't want to
26:55see a video of
26:55them saying
26:56I want to
26:57see a video of
26:59them having
26:59sex with my
27:00husband
27:00that's what
27:01I want
27:02I don't believe
27:03you until I
27:03see that
27:04well he is
27:08busy
27:09he's very
27:10busy
27:10I don't
27:11give two
27:12I feel it
27:14for you
27:14and it's
27:15absolute
27:16that he
27:18had this
27:18full other
27:19life
27:19like that
27:21feeling right
27:21now
27:22Cindy
27:22is that
27:23this isn't
27:23fair
27:23to you
27:24Richie did
27:27something
27:27horrible
27:28then you
27:31know
27:32but it's
27:34time to be
27:34honest with
27:35us
27:35and tell
27:37us the
27:37truth
27:37why did
27:40he do
27:40it
27:40because he
27:42hates her
27:43because of
27:47money
27:47because of
27:49the children
27:50why
27:51I don't
27:54know
27:54anything
27:54I'll
27:54say
27:55she was
27:57definitely
27:58playing the
27:58loyal wife
27:59but I
28:00thought there
28:00was more
28:01to it
28:01and I
28:02felt like
28:02she had
28:02information
28:03on how
28:04and when
28:05and what
28:05happened to
28:06clothing that
28:07might have
28:07had blood
28:08on it
28:08and I
28:09wanted her
28:10to break
28:10did you know
28:12that Angela
28:12was pregnant
28:13she was
28:16she was
28:16pregnant
28:17when she
28:17killed
28:18it's the
28:20truth
28:21that's the
28:21evidence
28:22that we've
28:22gathered
28:22we have
28:25DNA evidence
28:26that we took
28:26from the
28:27hominid
28:27that we took
28:28off
28:28there would
28:28be
28:28rich's
28:29DNA in
28:31my
28:31Honda
28:31whose DNA
28:32shouldn't be
28:32in the
28:32Honda
28:33whose blood
28:38should not
28:39be in the
28:39Honda
28:39nobody's blood
28:41has ever been
28:42in the
28:42Honda
28:42whose blood
28:43do you think
28:44was in the
28:44Honda
28:44I don't know
28:45I'll tell you
28:46Angela's blood
28:47there's blood
28:48on the passenger
28:49door of that
28:49vehicle
28:50that belongs
28:50to Angela
28:51how did that
28:53get there
28:53I don't know
28:56why blood
28:57would be on
28:57our door
28:58if she
28:59supposedly died
29:00in her
29:00house
29:01because who
29:02killed her
29:03was in
29:03your car
29:04that's all
29:06we want you to
29:18tell us what
29:19you know
29:19that's why
29:22we're sharing
29:23these things
29:23because we know
29:25you know more
29:25were you with
29:28him when he did
29:29this
29:29did he stay at
29:32the house at all
29:33that night
29:33yes
29:34he went up
29:35to work
29:35okay
29:36what time
29:37did he leave
29:37the house
29:38he didn't leave
29:39the house
29:39yes he did
29:40leave the house
29:41that night
29:41no he didn't
29:42I was up
29:43several times
29:43with the kids
29:44and he was
29:44out cold
29:45that's not
29:47true
29:47that's not true
29:48my goal
29:52here is just
29:53for you to be
29:53honest with us
29:54and tell us
29:55what you know
29:56are you
30:00going to tell
30:01us
30:01Cindy
30:02if you don't
30:05want to talk
30:06now
30:06I beg of you
30:09to please
30:09reconsider
30:10and
30:12call us
30:15we highly
30:17suspected that
30:18Cynthia was
30:19involved in
30:19more ways
30:20than one
30:21but we
30:22didn't have
30:22evidence
30:23against her
30:24at that
30:24point
30:25I never
30:27got a good
30:28feeling about
30:28Cynthia
30:28but there's
30:29nothing we
30:30could charge
30:31her with
30:31at that
30:31time
30:32and she
30:32was free
30:33to leave
30:33Richie wanted
30:55to give this
30:56information
30:56because he
30:57was looking
30:57for some
30:58sort of deal
30:58so that's when
31:00we set up
31:00the interview
31:01to take
31:01place in
31:02the sheriff's
31:03office
31:03in their
31:04conference
31:04room
31:04all right
31:08the video
31:09recorders
31:09record
31:10we understand
31:21we understand
31:21that
31:21that you have
31:24some information
31:24that you want
31:25to share with
31:25us
31:26it's my
31:28understanding
31:29that you want
31:29to share your
31:30involvement
31:30in this crime
31:32it's not
31:32it's not
31:32it's not
31:32it sucked
31:33so Chris
31:37said he
31:38kind of came
31:38up with an
31:39idea
31:39to like
31:41where I
31:42could get
31:43full custody
31:43of my
31:43kids
31:44and he
31:44could get
31:44full custody
31:45of his
31:45I guess
31:45they were
31:46having some
31:47issues
31:47and I was
31:48like okay
31:48what do you
31:49want
31:50and he said
31:50he thought
31:50that Angela
31:51was cheating
31:51on me
31:52and he said
31:54when he goes
31:54to work
31:54that he thought
31:55somebody was
31:55coming over
31:56he's like
31:57we'll catch
31:58him in bed
31:58and then you
31:59can testify
31:59for me
32:00in court
32:00against her
32:01that she's
32:01cheating on me
32:02and then we
32:02both get
32:03full custody
32:03so I was
32:05like yeah
32:06sure
32:06you know
32:07you're gonna
32:07help me
32:08I'm gonna
32:08help you
32:08that sounds
32:09good to me
32:09but he
32:11called me
32:11that night
32:12he said
32:13why don't you
32:13come down
32:13and get me
32:14and then
32:15you know
32:15we'll head
32:15up and catch
32:16him in the act
32:17so I got
32:18in the car
32:18drove to
32:20Walmart
32:20picked him up
32:22drove back
32:22to his house
32:23we got
32:24out of the car
32:25when he
32:26unlocked the
32:27door
32:27we went
32:27in
32:28tell me
32:28exactly
32:29what you
32:29saw
32:29when you
32:29went
32:30oh okay
32:30we went
32:31up some
32:32stairs
32:32and then we
32:33went through
32:33a room
32:34that was
32:35like their
32:35bedroom
32:36and it
32:37looked like
32:37there was
32:37two people
32:38in the
32:38bed
32:39you know
32:39and so
32:41as he
32:41pulled back
32:42the cover
32:42the first
32:43thing I
32:43noticed
32:43there wasn't
32:43a person
32:44that was
32:44a body
32:45pillow
32:45but he
32:46grabbed her
32:47and he
32:47just started
32:48like you
32:49know
32:49like making
32:50a motion
32:50and I'm
32:53sorry
32:53he just
32:55stabbing
32:56her
32:56I ran
32:57over
32:57there
32:57she like
32:59leaned up
32:59and like
33:00scratched the
33:01mess out of
33:01my face
33:02she was just
33:03like I love
33:04you
33:04and he just
33:06started stabbing
33:07her more
33:07and I was like
33:08what the
33:09are you doing
33:09it was just
33:12the most
33:12far-fetched
33:13fantasy I think
33:14there's no other
33:15way to put it
33:15at this point
33:17he'd had several
33:17months of
33:18sitting in the
33:19jail to try
33:20to concoct a
33:20story
33:21and when I
33:22heard it
33:22I'm like
33:22this is the
33:22best he could
33:23do is
33:24Chris did
33:25it
33:25what did
33:26he say
33:26he just
33:27said he's
33:27like I'm
33:28serious
33:28he's like
33:28keep telling
33:29anybody
33:29he's like
33:29I'll kill
33:30your wife
33:30I'll kill
33:31your little
33:31one
33:31he never
33:32said their
33:33name
33:33he just
33:33kept saying
33:34your wife
33:34and your
33:34little one
33:35I know
33:36from your
33:37admission
33:37that you
33:37were there
33:38but I
33:41doesn't
33:43fit
33:43because I
33:45know
33:45that Chris
33:46did not
33:48leave
33:48Walmart
33:49during the
33:50hours that
33:50you say
33:51that he
33:51did
33:51he did
33:53though
33:53I know
33:54he didn't
33:54because I
33:55watched him
33:55on video
33:56I watched
33:57him at
33:57work
33:57I didn't
34:00kill anybody
34:01I think
34:02you killed
34:02Nigel
34:03yeah I
34:04told you
34:04Chris did
34:04you can
34:09stop anytime
34:09you want
34:10stop
34:13okay
34:14I appreciate
34:17you talking
34:18to us
34:18we were
34:20preparing
34:21with the
34:21idea
34:22that
34:22Richie
34:22Wilder
34:23was going
34:23to lie
34:24to us
34:24our plan
34:26was to
34:26let him
34:26tell his
34:27story
34:27and just
34:28let those
34:28lies
34:29bury him
34:29there was
34:30so much
34:31that he
34:31locked
34:32himself
34:32into
34:33describing
34:34the inside
34:34of the
34:35house
34:35describing
34:36how
34:36Angela's
34:37body
34:37was
34:38we won
34:40this little
34:40battle
34:40in this
34:41entire
34:41war
34:42of a
34:42case
34:43this
34:59afternoon
34:59the jury
35:00convicted
35:00Richie
35:01Wilder
35:01of murdering
35:02his ex-wife
35:03Angela
35:03in her
35:04northwest
35:04Minot
35:04home
35:05last
35:05November
35:05Richie's
35:06current
35:07wife
35:07Cynthia
35:08remained
35:08resolute
35:09in her
35:09husband's
35:10innocence
35:10I stand
35:11by him
35:14we can't
35:21ask for
35:21a better
35:21sentence
35:22than life
35:22without
35:23parole
35:23so we
35:24were happy
35:24with that
35:25it's almost
35:32like we
35:33know she
35:34did something
35:34but we
35:35just can't
35:35prove it
35:36Cynthia
35:38went about
35:39her life
35:39at that
35:39point
35:40so that's
35:41the frustrating
35:42part because
35:43you know
35:43that there's
35:43more
35:44the Minot
36:09police department
36:09received a call
36:10in March
36:11of 2017
36:12from a
36:13Matt Walters
36:14he'd said
36:15that he
36:16has possible
36:17information
36:17about the
36:18murder
36:18of Angela
36:19Wilder
36:19we called
36:21him just
36:21to see
36:22if this
36:22was really
36:23true
36:23good
36:24good afternoon
36:24good afternoon
36:24is this
36:25Matt
36:25this is
36:27Matt
36:27detective
36:28Matthias
36:28calling from
36:29the Minot
36:29police department
36:30some information
36:31was passed
36:31along to me
36:32I wanted to
36:33follow up
36:33with you
36:34so it's
36:35kind of
36:35torn
36:35for a while
36:36on whether
36:37I can call
36:37you guys
36:38do you know
36:40Cindy
36:40Cindy
36:41in relation
36:43to what
36:44so her
36:46husband
36:46is the
36:47guy that
36:48he's the
36:49one that

37:01keeps saying
37:02stuff that
37:03was very
37:05unnerving
37:07like hinting
37:08that she had
37:08something to do
37:09with it
37:09she heavily
37:25insinuated
37:26through
37:27Facebook
37:27messages
37:28that she
37:29was involved
37:31in the
37:32murder

38:05sitting well
38:05with him
38:06and he wanted
38:07to sign up
38:07as a confidential
38:08informant
38:09we're very
38:10excited
38:11we knew
38:11that this
38:12was our
38:12chance
38:12to hold
38:13her
38:13responsible
38:14for the role
38:15that she
38:15played
38:15we basically
38:34wanted to get
38:35it in her
38:36words
38:36instead of
38:37in typed
38:38messages
38:39that she
38:40could have
38:40argued
38:40somebody else
38:41was typing
38:42he went to
38:44Cindy's house

38:56comfortable talking
38:57to him again
38:58I had a really

39:06and laugh
39:06and I haven't
39:07laughed
39:07in a long
39:09time
39:09I've just
39:10become
39:12this negative
39:13cynical
39:13yeah that
39:16hateful
39:17like I
39:18don't know
39:18I'm just
39:19mad all the
39:20time and I
39:20don't know
39:21why

39:28pissed that
39:29he got
39:29caught and
39:30that he
39:30got sloppy
39:33and impatient
39:34and and I
39:35thought we
39:36were like in
39:37the clear
39:37and it all
39:39kind of started
39:40as like a
39:41joke like I
39:42asked him like
39:42have you ever
39:43killed anybody
39:44just like
39:44and she needs
39:45to die like
39:46because we
39:47like had this
39:48thing like
39:48planned for
39:49like two
39:49years and
39:50we're just
39:51waiting on
39:51seriously
39:52yeah
39:53seriously
39:54like I
39:57helped him
39:57like I
39:58would leave

40:00worked nights
40:00I would leave
40:01the house
40:02at like
40:02midnight
40:03and like
40:03sit outside
40:04her house
40:05in my vehicle
40:05seeing
40:06who came
40:07into the
40:07house
40:07yeah
40:09we had
40:10this planned
40:11out
40:11and he
40:13it up
40:13I mean
40:15how
40:15did
40:15but like
40:16because he
40:17didn't clean
40:17the car
40:17good enough
40:18one spot
40:19of blood
40:20in my car
40:20he just
40:21has like
40:22so much
40:22anger
40:23towards her
40:23that's why
40:24he couldn't
40:25just do
40:26one jab
40:27to the jugular
40:28and get
40:28out
40:28no he
40:29like went
40:30psycho
40:30on her
40:31I don't
40:32know a knife
40:33is a stupid
40:34way to kill
40:34somebody
40:35yeah
40:36so once
40:39you realized
40:39it was real
40:40then what

40:53to jail
40:53for a very
40:54long time
40:54because I
40:54helped him
40:55I think
40:57Cynthia Wilder
40:58was proud
40:59of her
40:59involvement
40:59in this
41:00I never
41:01felt that
41:02Cindy had
41:02any remorse
41:03at all
41:03for what
41:04happened
41:04to Angela
41:05so when
41:06we heard
41:06her make
41:07those
41:08damning
41:09statements
41:09we reached
41:11back
41:11and high
41:12five
41:12because we
41:13knew that
41:13we had
41:14her at
41:14that point
41:15there's been
41:21another arrest
41:22in connection
41:22with the
41:232015

41:25of convicted
41:26murderer
41:26Richie Wilder
41:27was arrested
41:28today
41:29and charged
41:29with conspiracy
41:30in the murder
41:31of Wilder's
41:32ex-wife
41:32it was ultimate
41:34justice
41:34it's kind of
41:35karma coming
41:36back and
41:37biting her
41:37she was 100%
41:39involved in this
41:40murder
41:40and she
41:42unfortunately
41:43spilled it all
41:43to the wrong
41:44person
41:44the Minot woman
42:01who pleaded guilty
42:02to conspiracy
42:02to commit murder
42:03will spend
42:04the rest
42:05of her life
42:06in jail
42:06Cynthia Wilder
42:08was sentenced
42:08today in a hearing
42:09where the judge
42:10went well beyond
42:11the recommendations
42:12of both the defense
42:13and prosecution
42:14you were the one
42:15person who could
42:16have intervened
42:17you were the one
42:18person who could
42:20have spared
42:20Angela Wilder's
42:21life
42:22you chose not
42:23to do so
42:24the life in prison
42:25sentence with no
42:26parole is the
42:27exact same sentence
42:28that her husband
42:28Richie Wilder
42:29is now serving
42:30for killing
42:31Angela Wilder
42:32it was an awesome
42:35feeling knowing
42:36that we were
42:37going to get
42:38further justice
42:40for Angela Wilder
42:41and put behind
42:42bars everybody
42:43who's responsible
42:44for her not being
42:45here today
42:46I think Angela
42:49should be remembered
42:50as the sweet
42:51kind person
42:52that she was
42:53always willing
42:54to help others
42:55put others
42:55before herself
42:56she just had
42:58so much compassion
42:59and so much caring
43:00and so much
43:11you
