00:05expressed its support for the call made by the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro,

00:11for the holding of an urgent first dialogue between civilizations within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly.

00:19In a statement, ALBA TCP expressed in an international context marked by armed conflicts,

00:25threats to the sovereignty of peoples, and deepening inequalities, this call is a historical and visionary necessity

00:32to stop barbarism and build the path towards world peace.

00:37While reaffirming as well that ALBA TCP, with a firm humanistic and solidarity-based commitment,

00:43joins this effort, inviting the countries and peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Oceania,

00:50Europe and all progressive forces in the world to join this dialogue that seeks to preserve life, peace, justice

00:58and mutual respect among nations.

01:05And Colombia, the government denounced Tuesday that the United States is also using the desertification

01:13of countries cooperating in its so-called war against rocks as a political pressure to interfere in its internal affairs.

01:22In a statement on X, President Gustavo Petro said Washington's wanted a puppet president in Colombia

01:28and affirmed that the Colombian people will decide if they want a corrupt government like that of Panama

01:34or one which defends national sovereignty.

01:37The president also questioned the moral legitimacy of the United States in imposing labels on other nations,

01:51pointing out that Washington has not reduced the consumption of cocaine and fentanyl in its own society.
