00:00The way that both of these events have become a tune-up of sorts for each individual team, I kind of love it.
00:07I mean, it's a fun way to see these guys knock some rust off.
00:10And then, I mean, on the American side, I don't think it gets any better than your number one player on that team undoubtedly winning the tournament.
00:17And then a guy who doesn't have a ton of experience taking it down to the wire.
00:21I mean, I think the missed putt of the 18th, obviously, there's going to be some talking about that.
00:25There already has been on Golf Channel, the postgame sort of recap.
00:28But I think this worked in terms of what Keegan was trying to achieve in preparing this team for Bethpage.
00:35I kind of want to know what the vibes were of if they're all staying in one house or they're staying in separate houses.
00:42You imagine that there was somewhat of a community where the guys were gathering at night.
00:47Or at least let's just think that they were, right?
00:52Let's say we have team dinners like you're talking about.
00:54Everybody's going to hang out after.
00:56What is the vibe?
00:56Are guys talking about winning the golf tournament?
00:59Are they talking about the Ryder Cup?
01:00You know, is Ben Griffith really quietly, like, staring at Scotty Scheffler and not blinking for the entire evening?
01:06And like, hey, like, I'm not going to lose to you tomorrow.
01:10Like, what is the vibe like?
01:12What do you think?
01:12It's so interesting because I felt like, and this is just someone who's watching the broadcast on the TV on Sunday.
01:17But Scotty was dead set on winning this tournament.
01:22And that's not a shocker to any of us who've watched Scotty Scheffler play golf and know how competitive he is.
01:27But it felt like when we kind of got down the stretch, this wasn't just a Ryder Cup tune-up anymore.
01:34This became, you know, everyone was very, very serious about winning this tournament.
01:38And, you know, the question you're asking, I'd be curious to see how that spilled over into the camp.
01:43But I think the competition between these guys is only going to help kind of stoke the fire.
01:48You know, if you're talking about guys that needed this this week, to your point, guys that are a little sleepy, knocking off the rust,
01:55they've kind of shut it down since the tour championship at Eastlake.
01:58You know, feeling that feeling of being in contention can only help get the mind in the right place for two weeks when you show up and you're ready to go.
02:05You know what I mean?
02:06It's just nice to kind of kickstart it a little bit, I think.
