00:00You know, last week, the second half was all Vikings against the Chicago Bears.
00:04J.J. McCarthy, huge game.
00:06Everyone really looking forward to this game on Sunday night.
00:10They're at home.
00:12Pretty much everything should be going their way.
00:14Falcons are good, but not great.
00:17And then you look at it and say, could McCarthy have played any worse?
00:20Boy, I hope for his sake that this is the worst game that he's going to play,
00:24because if not, it's going to be a long season for the Vikings.
00:27Yeah, we learned that week one might be more about the Bears' defense,
00:32just not being able to stop much in the comeback for the Vikings
00:36as the Lions put up a 50-burger on that same defense.
00:39And the Falcons, look, they invested a lot in their pass rush.
00:42It's a running joke that they can't get to the quarterback,
00:44but they did get to the quarterback last night,
00:47partly because they were holding the ball too much with J.J. McCarthy.
00:51I don't know if it was a rough day before with his child being born,
00:56and he didn't get much sleep or something.
00:58But a lot of the throws were a little bit off
01:01and potential for a big game that I think he threw away.
01:04So this is going to be a bit of the rollercoaster ride that the Vikings have early,
01:08because it's essentially a rookie quarterback that skipped over his rookie year.
01:12So, again, it'll be interesting to see,
01:14because now you have him against the Bengals and Jake Browning.
01:19He was cut by the Vikings a few years ago to make room for the Bengals to sign him.
01:23So it's an interesting, intriguing game for both teams.
01:26Even though the Bengals are 2-0,
01:28they need to win every game they can without Joe Burrow.
