01:54Really the two best games he's played have been in both Super Bowls.

04:34I mean, that was a third and 14 they converted, Tom.
04:37Yeah, that hand in the neutral zone, you can't have any part of the ball.
04:41You see from the top, Chris Jones got his head in hand and he's doing everything he can to get low and defend that.
04:46They all know what's coming, but still got to neutralize that neutral zone without hands or helmets or face masks or any of that.
04:54Yeah, hard to do, and so a third and 14, they turn it into a first down up at the 45.
04:59Here's Saquon Barkley, who spins away from Chris Jones, but then met by three other Chiefs, and he's going to lose a yard.
05:14Barkley had a season for the ages last year, ninth ever season, over 2,000 yards.
05:19He was simply incredible, and that offensive line, it certainly helps.
05:23They love to run the ball, and you can see why.
05:26They've got so much size up front and talent and turn around and give the ball to a back who's gained 2,000 yards.
05:32That's a good play any time, and certainly they have a lot of threats in the pass game.
05:37So a tremendous skill group, and when Jalen's got a lot of time to throw, he's very, very dangerous.
05:43Bring on A.J. Dillon as the running back right now, so an early breather.
05:47See if that's a factor in this heat today with a lot of guys wrestling a little bit more.

06:01Well, one thing is for sure.
06:03You know, you're going to see a lot of that with Spaggs, Steve Spagnuolo, the defensive coordinator.
06:07They're going to blitz, and they blitz maybe better than anyone you know.
06:09You played them enough.
06:10They blitz, and then he thinks about blitz, and then blitzes again, and then blitzes again, and again, and again.
06:15He just does a tremendous job.
06:17I call it controlled chaos, and it looks like that from the quarterback standpoint because they all look like they're on the right, and they blitz to the left.
06:24They look like they're all coming from the left, and they blitz from the right.
06:26It's really a challenge, especially when they play at home.
06:34The third long.
06:35Another blitz.
06:36Hurts has it picked up.
06:38Cross the middle.
06:38Devontae Smith.
06:39He's wrapped up short of a first down by Brian Cook, who makes a shorthanded tackle.
06:44And so that should force an Eagles punt.
06:48Exactly what they did right there.
06:50They showed all the blitz down to the left for the quarterback, and they blitzed off the right.
06:54Jalen looked like he was a little bit concerned about the pressure, but then felt comfortable and just couldn't get his eyes downfield to throw a more intermediate route to get the first down.
07:03All right, so the Chiefs' D gets a stop.
07:10Nico Remigio back deep to return.
07:13Became the Chiefs' returner late last year.
07:15Pressure up the middle, but it's gotten away.
07:18And Remigio will let it go as it bounces out around the 10.

07:22These teams certainly know each other well, don't they, Tom Rinaldi?
07:25They certainly do, KB.
07:27You know, the Eagles' mission and mantra since last February has been, turn the page from the Super Bowl.
07:32Jalen Hurts said it's just another opportunity.
07:35Nick Sirianni, of course, watched the tape from that game, but to prepare, he said it's emotional, no doubt.
07:40But we're able to focus on what we need to do.
07:42His core message, embrace adversity.
07:45And with the sound in this atmosphere right now and the heat out on the playing surface, there are some challenges ahead for the Eagles.
07:51He's eager to see how they face him, KB.
07:52Yeah, we'll find out.
07:53Week two, there's a lot of unknowns, too, with these two teams.
07:56Obviously, we know they're good.
07:57We'll see how they handle things.
07:59In the run game, Pacheco, who was quiet last week, up to the 15.
08:02That's a nice little run for Pacheco.
08:05But here is Patrick Mahomes, and we know how great and amazing he's been.
08:08Three-time Super Bowl MVP.
08:10But he's also lost two of them.
08:12No one wins more, but you know.
08:14You've talked about how hard it is coming back from the losses and how he and this team respond.
08:18Yeah, he's continued to evolve his game.
08:20And don't mistake any statistical drop.
08:22I still think he's the most elite player at the NFL at the quarterback position.
08:29Back to throw with time.
08:31Sings it over the middle.
08:32It's high at gray, wide open.
08:34But he missed him.
08:35He just has an amazing poise about him, certainly in the biggest moments.
08:38It's never too big for him.
08:40He's got all the physical skill.
08:41But, again, poise and composure, those are hard things to measure when kids are coming out of college.
08:46And from the moment that he took over, he consistently makes the right decisions.
08:51And not just on the field, off the field.
08:53How he communicates to his teammates, his work ethic, his discipline, his focus.
08:58It's all on display every single day in practice and on the game field.
09:02He's got a third and three here.
09:06Get Smith and Hunt in the backfield.

09:10Mahomes, a little rollout, throws back behind his man Smith, and it's incomplete.

09:44So now a riser to put it away.

09:55Well, we talked about maybe some adversity.
09:57Aaron Andrews, how are the Chiefs and their leaders and their thoughts coming into this game?
10:01Well, you heard Patrick Mahomes on our call this week.
10:03Very vocal.
10:04And I spoke with Travis Kelsey.
10:05He said, you know, the M.O. of the Kansas City Chiefs since I've been here has been fight to the death.
10:11And that's from Andy Reid.
10:12And he said, I'm not saying we've forgotten how to do that.
10:15But with all the success, things have been a little easy.
10:18This week, we're really emphasizing it.
10:20We need to see the grit.
10:22We need to see the fight.
10:23And that needs to come from our leaders.
10:24He said, I'll be the first one to raise my hand and say, I need to help out and I need to get on, guys.
10:30He also said, by the way, Kev, the way we played the last two games, people think they can come and smack us in the mouth.
10:36We need to start seeing toughness early in this game.
10:39That's interesting.
10:40And we'll see how both respond here.

12:04A.J. Brown's a unique player.
12:06He gets the ball a lot against man coverage.
12:09When he gets a lot of zone coverage,
12:10the ball tends to go other places in this offense.
12:13Yeah, that's all Dallas played last week.

12:24Oh, ball is sitting up there in the air.
12:26Brown played center field.
12:28Incomplete.
12:29Going back to help was Noel Williams there.
12:33But Karloftis applied the pressure.

12:37You know, the route, obviously,
12:38it's just a simple clear-out route.
12:40There's a little room down there,
12:42but when Hurts gets jacked up there in the backfield,
12:45that ball kind of lollipops up in the air.

14:14He's kind of a deep threat for this team,

14:19a very high-possession receiver as well.
14:21So he's dealing with some guys
14:22that are a little bit down the depth chart.
14:23He still has Kelsey in there.
14:25He's got to make good decisions
14:26and read the zone defense and go with the open guy.
14:28Here's Kareem Hunt as he runs his way across midfield.

14:34For this Philly defense,
14:35which was number one last year in the league
14:37behind Vic Fangio,
14:38but they had to retool.
14:39They lost a lot of key guys,
14:40four starters and five big contributors,
14:42but they do get that guy back,
14:44Jalen Carter, number 98,
14:46because of his spin gate incident.
14:49He didn't play last week.
14:50He was ejected on the first play,
14:52so this is his opening week,
14:53and he's really their best defensive player.
14:55Now Mahomes' throw.

14:59How did Hollywood Brown hold down to that one?
15:01But he did.
15:03And moves it down to the 45.
15:05Yeah, this is a unique offense now.
15:07Patrick Mahomes has developed
15:08when he started with Tyreek Hill.
15:10They were this high-flying explosive offense,
15:12and now doesn't have quite those downfield threats,
15:15so it ends up being some shorter passes,
15:17and they have led the league last year
15:19in long drives for touchdowns.
15:21A real strength,
15:22especially in hot weather today.

15:46They don't typically do that Fangio's defense,
15:49and Mahomes notice it.
15:50When they do play man,
15:52there's typically no one to account
15:54for the quarterback and the scrambling,
15:55and Patrick knows that.
15:56He can outrun the defensive line,
15:58and he's done that quite a bit the last couple years.

16:09They just signed him.
16:10You know him.
16:10He's been a pass rush demon in the league for a long time,
16:13and now he's an eagle.
16:14Yeah, big physical experience,
16:17and I think with the losses of certainly sweat last year,
16:20Milton Williams, who now plays for the Patriots,
16:23they were looking for an experienced pass rusher
16:25that could come in and really fit the mold
16:27of what this defensive line is asked to do.
16:29Get after the quarterback.
16:32Yeah, those two guys you mentioned,
16:34Milton Williams and Josh Schwedt,
16:35at four and a half sacks in the Super Bowl.
16:37Mahomes, quick throw in the middle,
16:38high and incomplete that time.
16:41Smith-Schuster, the intended receiver.
16:43So there's Vic Fangio,
16:44won his first Super Bowl last year with that D,
16:47and with those replacements,
16:49a lot of younger guys.
16:50There's some questions,
16:51will the pass rush be the same at cornerback?
16:54You know, they lose Darius Slay.
16:56He was a stalwart for them for many years,
16:57and they're figuring that position out.
17:00So I guess week two,
17:02everybody's figuring stuff out, right?
17:03We're all trying to sort through
17:04what we're good at,
17:05what we're not good at,
17:06what the other team's good at,
17:07what they're not good at.
17:07Nobody knows in week two.
17:09I'm sure Vic didn't realize
17:10when we talked to him in the Super Bowl last year
17:12what they were still good at.
17:12He was still pretty tough on his guys
17:14even two days before the biggest game of last season.
17:17That's fair.

17:42if you're Fangio's defense,
17:44okay, we know what we did,
17:45what was successful.
17:46Do we want to repeat that,
17:47or do we want to throw some wrinkles in there
17:49that they won't expect?
17:49That's probably the right way to go about it,
17:52even though they had so much success in the Super Bowl,
17:54playing basically vanilla defense
17:56and forcing the Chiefs to make good plays
17:58in order to score.
