34:04You know, we talk so much about James Pierce and Jalen Walker, the two first-round draft picks on the edge.
34:10But it has been Xavier Watts, the All-American safety out of Notre Dame, and Billy Bowman, the slot defender out there that have made more plays than anybody.
34:20What's really had a chance for three interceptions in the game last week.
34:24They are very high on him.
34:26Both of them.

34:31He's taken off.
34:32He'll only get about a yard or so as he runs to the sideline.
34:35As Atlanta did a good job downfield.
34:38Chris, it was the struggle in the start of the game at Soldier Field where the Vikings had just 19 first quarter yards.

34:46This is the second game.
34:47But what happened Monday night, they didn't panic.
34:51And that includes the rookie quarterback.
34:52It does, but he's going to get different looks every single time.
34:57And he has gotten a lot tonight.
34:58And if they're going to be that exotic with their looks up front and their five-man fronts that they've been using,
35:04you've got to make them pay for that with Justin Jefferson.
35:07At some point, he's one-on-one, and you've got to take advantage.

35:58Well, let's take a look at some of the different looks that they've been seeing already here.
36:02You've got Kay Nellis out here on the end of the line of scrimmage.
36:05They've dropped him down in a five-man look to try and make it a little tougher to run the football.
36:11And then they show you a six-man look, and they'll drop out Diablo here right underneath the Ralphs that they were trying to throw.
36:18And that led to the sack there.

36:26And the movement up front.
36:27There's nothing like hearing a 300-pound defensive line giggle.

37:21And those are some of the plays that were really working for them a week ago.
37:26They started pulling these offensive linemen, but it was his finishes that really made the difference.
37:31The difference between getting hit and that being a four-yard gain,
37:35instead now you're down in third and one, just makes all the difference in the world.
37:38But that power element to this offense is something we just haven't seen for a little while.
37:45Give a couple of those yards to the rookie, Donovan Jackson.
37:47Yeah.
37:48Just grabbed him and pulled him for a couple more.
37:53Needing one.
37:55And they'll get it.
37:56With Mason for the first down.
37:58When Christian McCaffrey was injured, Mason took more of a role and was effective.
38:04And with all the big-ticket numbers that they had to pay salary cap wise in San Francisco,
38:08they couldn't keep him.
38:09And now he's here with the Vikings.
38:11Yeah.
38:12This is an interesting offense.
38:14And they really, you know, they've got the big player, obviously, with Jefferson.
38:18And you just get the feeling at some point here, they're winding him up.
38:23You know, at some point, they're going to see somebody they like on Jefferson.
38:27But they've been staying in that two-deep safety look, trying to avoid that possibility.
38:31Both backs in now, Mason and Jones.
38:35McCarthy pressure.
38:36And he's going to go down.
38:38It won't go down, but it'll be a sack.
38:40As they closed in on him with the veteran Leonard Floyd.
38:44Wherever he goes, he gets eight or more sacks in the last few years.
38:48He's got one here.
38:49But it's that five-man front, once again, that's really been bugging this offensive line.
38:55And what that does is it creates one-on-one for their best pass rusher.
38:59But you can see across the board, that five-man front is creating one-on-ones for the better pass rushers of the Falcons.
39:06One sack last week, two already in the first half for Atlanta.
39:14Second and long, McCarthy across the middle for T.J. Hawkinson.
39:19It's incomplete, and there is Divine Diablo.
39:21If you watch the Falcons and he stays healthy, you're going to see number zero a lot this year.
39:28That's exactly what Jeff Ulbrich was talking about.
39:30That former safety body that has grown into a linebacker body that still has the moves and the athleticism of a safety.
39:39And I'll go back.

39:41That's exactly the style that they played in San Francisco.
39:44And they are so excited that they have one of those here with Atlanta.

40:48And it's first and goal for the Vikings.
40:54It's been Naylor so far running these one-on-one routes against A.J. Terrell.

41:01And we were doing some quick counting there.
41:03I think they had 10 out there.
41:05They did indeed.
41:06That makes it easier.

41:38I couldn't tell if he was trying to pitch the thing out to Mason or not at the end of this thing.
41:44He was going to fake that flip and he was going to turn around and throw a pass.
41:48He was like me with that pin in Baltimore.
41:50I accidentally slipped it in the guy's hair right in the front row.
41:53Didn't mean to do it, but I don't think he did either.
41:56For those who were with us that night and remember that,
42:02we've been talking about that pretty much every week the last three years.
42:07It's only a pen.
42:09The guy had a lot of hair.

42:37And we're unhappy there as the substitutions were going on
42:40and McCarthy was being held from taking the snap.
42:44And that's why it was delay a game.
42:46And those play calls aren't easy.
42:49They're all around 15 words.
42:51And we have had plenty of conversations with McCarthy about calling those plays.

43:03Jalen Walker around the edge.
43:05The rookie out of Georgia with a sack.
43:08So both first-round picks, Pierce and Walker, had sacks in this first half.
43:14And the problem remains the same here.
43:16Until Christian Derisaw comes back, Justin School is going to have to get help.
43:22And they understood that they had to help him more in this game than they did last time.
43:27They rolled the dice on that one and paid the price.
43:30That is the Buckus Award winner.

43:36And that left tackle who's missing, Christian Derisaw, there on the sideline watching.

43:47So this draft instant impact as James Pierce is one of the two there for the Falcons,
43:54along with Ruk Orororo forcing the field goal.
43:58And that's really what they're trying to do here, Mike.
44:00They are playing about nine guys on that defensive line, keeping everybody fresh.
44:05They didn't get those sacks a week ago, and they are coming in droves here so far.
44:12And one of the hard parts about playing with a young quarterback is
44:15it takes a little while to learn all that.
44:17Those guys, you have two and a half seconds, period.
