00:00Hello. Well, it's been an unsettled end to the weekend with heavy spells of rain and strong winds.
00:06And the winds are going to be increasing further through tonight and into tomorrow.
00:11So this is all to do with an area of low pressure.
00:14And this is the earlier satellite imagery pushing its way eastwards.
00:18But it's tonight that the winds start ramping up.
00:21We could see gusts 60 to 70 miles per hour along the exposed coasts and hills.
00:27But even in land, 45 to 50 miles per hour is possible as this area of low pressure tracks its way eastwards.
00:34So there is a yellow wind warning in force across England and Wales through tonight and through much of Monday.
00:42Otherwise, the winds will start easing as we go later on into Tuesday.
00:47But let's go back to the rest of this evening.
00:50Heavy spells of rain will continue to push its way north and eastwards, affecting much of Scotland through the early hours.
00:58Behind that, blustery showers moving through, especially across northern Ireland, northern parts of England, into Wales and the southwest.
01:08Clearest skies holding on across East Anglia and the southeast of England.
01:13But otherwise, with a lot of cloud around and with those strong southwesterly winds, temperatures are going to be holding up.
01:20So a much milder night to come compared to the start of Sunday morning.
01:25Temperatures around 11 or 12 degrees.
01:29So do take care Monday morning, especially across England and Wales with those strong winds could lead to some disruption on the roads.
01:36Otherwise, it's a showery picture out there, especially across northern Ireland, into Scotland, northern England and northern parts of Wales with the showers merging to give some longer spells of rain.
01:49There will be some brighter interludes, especially to the south of the UK.
01:54But here we'll still see some showers quickly rattling their way through.
01:58Otherwise, in the sunshine, highs of 18 or 19 degrees, but still feeling rather cool, especially in the brisk winds.
02:07Temperatures here around 15 or 16 degrees in the north.
02:11So as we go through Monday evening, then we hold on to a lot of showers sinking their way south and eastwards.
02:18The winds will start easing, though, as the low pressure tracks its way eastwards.
02:23Most of the showers really confined to northern Ireland, northern parts of England, with some clearer skies developing in between.
02:31So across Scotland and much of southern England, we hold on to the clearest skies to start Tuesday morning.
02:38Otherwise, temperatures ranging from around 10 to 12 degrees.
02:43So the low pressure clears its way through and we'll start to see a bit of a ridge of higher pressure building.
02:48There'll still be some showers around on Tuesday, but for most, it's a calmer picture out there with some brighter interlude.
02:54Showers most frequent running down across northern parts of England, a few across parts of Wales as well.
03:01But otherwise, some sunny spells in between.
03:03The winds easing, but the sunshine turning increasingly hazy from the west ahead of the next area of low pressure,
03:10bringing wet and windy weather through Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
03:14But before that, temperatures ranging 16 to 19 degrees.
