00:00Hello, how many showers did you catch today? Well if you missed them, don't worry, there's
00:04plenty more to come through this evening and overnight. Particularly once again across
00:09western areas, plenty of showers moving through here. These still could be heavy with some
00:13hail and thunder through the overnight period. Then a longer spell of showery outbreaks just
00:18starting to push into northern parts of England, northern parts of Wales and southern Scotland
00:22through the early hours of Saturday. Elsewhere we'll see a mix of cloud and some clear skies
00:27but even here we could see some showers still by the time you reach Saturday morning. But
00:31with more cloud around, temperatures won't drop quite as low, lows reaching around 8 to
00:359 degrees Celsius. For the first half of the weekend, it's set to be another day of sunshine
00:42and showers. Fairly similar weather to what we've had over the last couple of days. Persistent
00:46outbreaks of rain eventually clearing its way across northeastern parts of Scotland. Still
00:50many western areas catching the showers. The best of the brightness will be across central
00:54areas of England, parts of the east and southeast. But even here we can't rule out some showers.
00:59Once again, these could be heavy with some hail and thunder. Quite blustery at times if you
01:03do catch any heavier downpours. Temperatures around about average for the time of year.
01:08Around the mid-teens across northern areas, just pushing into about highs of 19 degrees Celsius
01:13into the southeast. Some showers will cling on for the first part of the evening, particularly
01:19across northern areas. But we'll eventually see a slight ridge of high pressure build which
01:23will ease away any showers. Less cloud around too. Plenty of clear skies by Sunday morning.
01:28So it's going to feel a little cooler and fresher if you're up early through Sunday. More cloud
01:33just starting to push into southwest England, parts of Northern Ireland. Lows once again reaching
01:39around 8 to 9 degrees Celsius. But any rural areas, it's likely to drop around the mid-single
01:44figures. Now Sunday will start off cool, fresh. Plenty of clear skies. Some sunshine perhaps.
01:51Soon being replaced by some very wet and windy weather. Initially pushing into parts of
01:55southwest England and Wales, Northern Ireland before it spreads its way northeastwards through
01:59the course of the day. Some very heavy and possibly quite persistent outbreaks of rain
02:04through Sunday. And also some quite strong winds. A chance we could pick up some gales,
02:08particularly around exposed western coasts. Staying the driest for longest across the far
02:13northeast of Scotland, northeastern parts of England. But here eventually we'll see the wind
02:18and the rain. So some quite heavy downpours. Do keep an eye out for any Met Office updates
02:23in case we see any rain warnings issued. It's actually probably going to feel a little bit
02:27milder on Sunday. Highs reaching around 20 degrees Celsius, but that obviously being offset
02:31by the wind and rain. So Sunday is going to be quite a blustery day. But the strongest of
02:38the winds aren't actually going to be until later Sunday through into Monday morning. A chance
02:43we could see some gales, if not severe gales, particularly across the southern half of the
02:46country. Now this is across inland areas and mainly around coastal parts, particularly exposed
02:52coastal areas. So Sunday night through into Monday it is going to be very blustery. So
02:57we have issued a Met Office wind warning from Sunday 8pm all the way through into Monday at
03:026pm. So inland areas quite widely we could see gusts between 45 to 55 miles per hour, reaching
03:0860 to possibly 70 miles per hour around exposed hills and coasts.
03:13For more details on the warning, don't forget to have a look at our website or across our
03:17social media channels. And of course we'll be here on YouTube giving you all your latest
03:20weather updates.
