00:00The thing that people mostly do when they want to come and talk about White Lotus is
00:03talk about what happened to them when they were watching me.
00:06So they want to talk about how they had watch parties or they dressed up as the characters
00:09or some of the themes, you know, some of the sayings became kind of memes in their office.
00:15And when they want to talk to me about me, I think what they mostly say is, I thought
00:19I was going to hate you.
00:20And they began to empathize and they began to feel for me.
00:24Devastatingly, I know a principle like that.
00:27Some people come up to me and they're like, oh, man, I wish I could party like you on
00:31the studio.
00:32And I was like, me too.
00:33And they'd be like, whoa, you don't party like that?
00:35And I was like, no, man, I'm pretty boring these days.
00:38You know, I've gone to some meetings around town since the show came out.
00:44And it's always kind of the person who's walking me to the meeting who's like, I just have
00:49to say the studio was a documentary and it was about me.
00:53It's three words.
00:54Thanks, Pam Ramek.
00:55That's all I want you to put in there.
00:57People within the industry seem to really appreciate how realistic the show is.
01:00And even though it is heightened in some ways, I think it is also kind of capturing like an
01:05essential truth about the industry that we all work in and people not in the industry
01:11think it's just like an insane, completely exaggerated look at what Hollywood is, which
01:16it isn't.
01:17It's kind of back up for me.
01:18I really like you and Severance.
01:20You're really good.
01:21Have you finished Cold Harbor?
01:23No.
01:24No.
01:25I guess there's a lot of like, why did Mark make that choice at the end of season two?
01:35Are you really farting or is it a sound effect?
01:48I've had a lot of people say, you really look like you're in real pain when you're playing
01:54Jimmy.
01:55And I think that that's a compliment.
01:57They ask me if Jean is so cool and I say, yeah, she is as cool as you hope.
02:02People have been very tickled by Dance Mom and when, and they always come up to me with
02:08sparkly eyes and a smile wondering.
02:11I think they're wondering if any part of Dance Mom actually lives in me, the person.
02:16I don't think she does.
02:20And I would say from Sinatra, they enjoy coming up to tell me how much they hate me or how scared
02:26they are of me.
02:27Also with a smile, but very different feedback.
02:29The most gratifying feedback has come from the medical community.
02:32They were kind of the first audience we were trying to win over and in our efforts to be
02:37the most authentic medical drama on TV, I feel like that validation was most appreciated.
02:46My mom loves you.
02:47My aunt loves you.
02:49My, you know, it's, I think a lot of tired old working women really love Dana.
02:54I am so grateful that there's a mixed reaction to her because I think she is so socially inept
03:00and I think that can be played for laughs in some shows or to be like, oh, she's so quirky.
03:05Characters don't like her, but the audience does.
03:07I think actually it's not the truth of what it is to be lonely and to be socially inept
03:11and to have been isolated for your childhood.
03:13And so I'm really grateful that people are going, why is she like that?
03:17Who does Tim listen to?
03:19Well, he's an alpha male when he gets there.
03:21He's what Tom Wolfe called the big swinging dick of Wall Street.
03:23He's the big swinging dick of Durham, North Carolina.
03:25So I think he listens to annoying guitar bands that kind of drive you because he's about
03:30crushing and beating other people.
03:32And when he leaves, I think he's listening to some of that plinky plunky massage music
03:36that you get when you pay too much money.
03:38I mean, probably Beyonce, probably maybe Doja.
03:44And who else would she like?
03:47I think she likes all the big pop stars, Lady Gaga, you know, whoever the big DJ is in Cabo,
03:55or Ibiza.
03:56You know what I mean?
03:57That type of thing.
04:02Death metal holds rock.
04:05You know?
04:06100%.
04:07Oldies, you know.
04:09Yeah.
04:10Like, I mean, old rock.
04:11Yeah.
04:12Yeah.
04:13Like, Enter the Sandman.
04:14Yeah.
04:15Sabbath.
04:16Yeah.
04:17Black Sabbath for sure.
04:18I think Innie Mark likes Defiant Jazz because that's the only music he's ever heard.
04:25Oh, and the marching band.
04:29He loves that song.
04:30And my song when I sing.
04:31Yes.
04:32And Ms. Gobelle's singing.
04:34Those three songs.
04:36Oh, I think Dana listens to, like, Neil Young.
04:39I think Dana listens to 70s rock for sure.
04:42Bob Dylan.
04:43I think he's more of a classic rock and a kind of indie rock appreciated than anything else.
04:50I have, like, playlists in playlists.
04:52I think she's really listening to, like, top 100 pop girlies.
04:57Well, we know who Dance Mom listens to.
04:59Katy Perry.
05:00She loves Charlie.
05:01I think she loves Addison and Sabrina Carpenter.
05:03I don't think Sinatra's actually, I think Sinatra needs to listen to more music.
05:06I don't think she's spending much time with music.
05:08And maybe that's one of the places she needs to go to sort of relax.
