00:15Here's everything that went down at the 76th Emmy Awards.

00:18Stars of some of this year's biggest shows graced the red carpet in downtown L.A.'s Peacock

00:22Theatre ready for the big night, which was hosted by Eugene and Dan Levy.

00:26The father-son duo kicked off the festivities with a little familial fun.

00:30Without question, my most rewarding dad role ever has been being your dad.

00:41In Schitt's Creek, because it got me my first acting Emmy.

00:48They also gave a shout out to some of the biggest shows of the year, including The Bear,

00:51Baby Reindeer and Shogun, who already made history before the night even began, as the

00:56show with the most Emmy wins in a single season.

00:59The creators of Shogun actually had their scripts translated into Japanese, rewritten,

01:05and then translated back into English subtitles that you missed because you were also on your

01:09phone watching Sabrina Carpenter eat a hot wing.

01:13Big name presenters like Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short had the crowd on the

01:17floor before presenting Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy to Eben Moss-Bachrach.

01:22And when I see an actor I don't know, I just say, I loved your scene with Nicole Kidman.

01:27Other early wins of the night included Billy Crudup for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama

01:31Series, Elizabeth Debicki for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Liza Colón

01:36Zayas, who made history as the first Latina actress to win Supporting Actress in a Comedy

01:41Series.

01:42Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me a new life with this show.

01:47Throughout the night, the Emmys also highlighted character archetypes on television, including

01:51TV dads, TV moms, and TV villains.

01:54The downside is trying to have a nice, quiet, fine dining experience, and drug dealers start

02:00asking for advice on how to build their empires.

02:02Elsewhere, the telecast also celebrated 50 years of Saturday Night Live with Maya Rudolph,

02:08Seth Meyers, Kristen Wiig, and Bowen Yang, who praised SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

02:13We heard that our dear friend, our mentor, Lorne Michaels, has been nominated for and

02:18lost the Emmy 85 times.

02:22With the presidential election just around the corner, there was also plenty of references

02:26to politics throughout the night.

02:28Today, a Republican candidate for vice president would never attack a woman for having kids,

02:33so as they say, my work here is done.

02:38Meow.

02:41Greg Berlanti was honored with the Governor's Award.

02:43There is no thank you that would ever, ever be enough.

02:46I wanted to be a part of television even before I knew how that was possible.

02:50And Jelly Roll gave a moving tribute during the In Memoriam.

02:53I'm not okay, but it's all gonna be alright.

02:59Richard Gad won for lead actor in a limited series, and also gave an emotional speech

03:04for his writing win earlier in the night for Baby Reindeer.

03:07I don't know much about this life, I don't know why we're here, none of that, but I do

03:10know that nothing lasts forever, and no matter how bad it gets, it always gets better.

03:15As for the final Emmys, Jeremy Alan White and Hiroyuki Tsunada won for Best Actor in

03:19a Comedy and Drama Series, and Jean Smart and Anna Sawai took home the award for Best

03:24Actress in a Comedy and Drama Series, respectively.

03:27Sawai made history as the first Asian winner in the category.

03:31Thank you to my team, and thank you to my family.

03:34Mom, I love you.

03:36And finally, Hacks, Shogun, and Baby Reindeer took home the awards for Best Comedy, Drama,

03:42and Limited Series, respectively.
