00:00Congratulations to the nominees for Outstanding Drama Series.
00:03Harvey, we did it. And we did it straight.
00:06Yeah, not one joke.
00:07The 2025 Emmy nominees list just dropped,
00:10with a little help from Harvey Guillen and Brenda Song,
00:13and we've got the biggest surprises and snubs that might have you saying,
00:17Piper, no!
00:19No!
00:21No!
00:23And we just turned into like, Piper, no!
00:25Leading the drama pack was Apple TV's Severance, with 27 noms,
00:30including lead acting nods for Adam Scott and Britt Lauer,
00:34followed closely by season three of The White Lotus, with 23 noms,
00:38including writing and directing for creator Mike White.
00:41However, not a single member of the cast was nominated in the lead acting categories.
00:46Instead, they were relegated to the supporting side of things.
00:50This includes fan favorites Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell, and Amy Lee Wood.
00:56And for the guys, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, and Sam Rockwell.
01:01Yep, that means Patrick Schwarzenegger was snubbed.
01:05Despite having the most viral TV moment of the year,
01:08no one will be handing him an Emmy come September.
01:11Netflix's Monsters, The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story,
01:14was nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series,
01:18as was Breakout star Cooper Koch.
01:21But Coop's on-screen bro, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, got nada.
01:25It was more good news for Apple TV Plus.
01:28Their freshman comedy, The Studio, racked up a whopping 23 nominations,
01:33including acting, writing, and directing for Seth Rogen.
01:36Following far behind was HBO's Hacks, with 14 noms, and FX's The Bear with 13,
01:43signaling this could be an upset year for these past Outstanding Comedy winners.
01:47If you even consider The Bear a comedy.
01:50Meanwhile, Netflix's debut rom-com Nobody Wants This got a little Emmy Love 2,
01:55for Outstanding Comedy Series and its charming stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
02:00Turns out, everybody wants this.
02:02TV's biggest night is sure to be an A-list affair, thanks to acting nods for Cate Blanchett,
02:08Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Williams, and Pedro Pascal for The Last of Us.
02:13Not to mention Colin Farrell. The star of HBO's The Penguin is considered the front runner for lead
02:19actor in a limited or anthology series or movie. He's already taken home a Golden Globe, a Critics'
02:25Choice Award, and a SAG Award for donning a fat suit to play the gritty DC Comics character on HBO.
02:31The 77th Primetime Emmy nominations also saw a few career comebacks. Noah Wiley for The Pit,
02:38Kathy Bates for Matlock, and Sterling K. Brown for Paradise.
02:42But TV fans will have to patiently wait another two months to see who actually wins.
02:46The Emmys will air Sunday, September 14th on CBS, hosted by comedian Nate Bregazzi.
02:53Plenty of time to catch up and binge on all of these nominated shows.
