00:00The top 15 contractors of flood control projects in the country will not be allowed to join in the bidding of the government projects if the Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, proves they committed violations.
00:12This comes amidst the BIR's tax fraud audit on the said contractors.
00:16According to BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr., besides being barred from bidding, they may also not get paid if they fail to show their updated tax clearance.
00:25The agency is also prepared to publicize the results of the tax audit once the case has been filed.
