00:21Jake Lorente traveled almost two hours from San Ildefonso, Bulacan to Quezon City.
00:26He was going to participate in the Civil Service Commission or CSC job fair at a mall in Quezon City.
00:33He was applying as an administrative assistant in any government agencies.
00:38He worked as an admin aide in San Ildefonso, LGU for more than 5 years.

00:59Even before graduating, Michael Adriano also participated in the CSC job fair.

01:39Jake and Michael are but a couple of the hundreds of applicants who went at the Civil Service Commissions or CSC job fair at a mall in QC.
01:48This was part of their 125th anniversary celebrations.
01:52Over 200 government agencies participated in the job fair at 15 regional venues throughout the Philippines, offering more than 8,000 jobs.
02:00This is the highest number of job vacancies in the history of CSC job fairs.
02:06This is higher than the target of more than 6,000 job openings this year.
02:11This includes plantilla and non-plantilla positions in national agencies, local governments, government-owned and controlled corporations, and state colleges and universities.
02:22Most of the job offers are administrative and clerical work and job orders.
02:27Some of the requirements include a fully accomplished personal data sheet, which can be downloaded from the CSC website, performance rating on current employment, copy of certificate of eligibility or license, and transcript of records.
02:41The job fair began on September 2 and ends today.
02:44Ang objective na naman natin is for us to bridge yung mga employers sa government service and yung mga aplikante natin na gustong pumasok sa government.
02:56Sa government kasi, kagaya ng private, nag-upgrade na rin kasi yung sa mga competencies.
03:04So titignan nila kung yung sa posting ng position, ano yung mga requirements, ano yung competencies ng position.
03:12In the National Capital Region, 25 government agencies participated in the job fair, including the Department of Labor and Employment, National Center for Mental Health, Social Security System, and University of the Philippines.
03:27The CSC has an advice for those who want to work in the government and current government employees, especially now that the issue of corruption is heavy.
03:35Ang pagpasok sa government ay isang mission. So we take it as our mission and vocation. So with that kasi, maiisip natin na kung mission siya at vocation natin, ay pagbubutiin natin yung ating servisyo.
03:52Meanwhile, the CSC job fair in the Cordillera Administrative Region will be held on September 9.
