Curtis: "Would you be ok if the Patriots traded for Tyreek Hill?" Do you believe the Pats need a big play WR?
Transcript
00:00Would you be okay if the Patriots traded for Tyreek Hill?
00:05Because his skill set is exactly what they lack.
00:10They have, as Wiggy points out accurately, they have 50 different slot guys.
00:14They have nobody that takes the proverbial top off the defense.
00:18So, my guess is, if Tyreek Hill doesn't get traded here,
00:24his old team needs him pretty badly,
00:26especially given the injuries they've got to Worthy,
00:29they've got the suspension to, what's his, Brushy Rice?
00:31Brushy, yeah, Rice.
00:33He's likely going to be playing for another team.
00:36I, despite all of their needs, I am a no.
00:41I don't think that the Patriots are holier than thou.
00:43I don't think I'm a better fan than someone else.
00:45I just, very difficult guy for me to root for.
00:50But I'd be curious in everybody's opinion on this,
00:53and we can, oh, so we already have a poll up on this.
00:55So, 63% of the respondents said no.
00:58And that's 535 votes, and 63% do not want Tyreek Hill on the New England Patriots.
01:07It's difficult in this regard.
01:10Watching this team on offense just sucks.
01:14Like, I don't know how many consecutive years it's been
01:16where every time they get the ball, there's some sort of a hold,
01:20there's a sack, there's a negative play, and then they're punting.
01:24And Tyreek Hill, unfortunately, or fortunately, is available because of his off-field stuff,
01:30but possesses skills that are very, very, very rare in the NFL.
01:34But I'm a no.
01:34I'd love to hear everybody.
01:35And those polls mean nothing to me because, you know, like, mass holes, fans,
01:39that's how we operate.
01:43It's a no now.
01:44Then they trade for him, and then he goes out there in his first game,
01:46and he has over 100 yards receiving.
01:48And then you put up a poll.
01:51Was this the best move the Patriots have made in the last couple of years?
01:54And then 90% is a yes.
01:56So, I mean, we did it with Antonio Brown.
01:58Yeah, you always use that as an example.
02:01But I think Antonio Brown even was different than Tyreek Hill.
02:04Yeah, I don't know, Curtis.
02:05They're pretty close.
02:06Like, well, off-the-field issues, like, douche nozzles,
02:10they are, like, running neck and neck.
02:12Yeah, you're probably right.
02:13You know, A.B. was, like, just as close to Tyreek Hill than anything.
02:21So, I think people would be, you know, they don't like it now,
02:25but if you got a guy like that here and he had 100 yards receiving
02:28and he looked like the Tyreek Hill we know, fans would be,
02:31I guarantee you, fans would be going out there and buying that Tyreek Hill jersey.
02:35But you heard Julian Edelman.
02:36I think he's speaking for most of his teammates that if they had retained A.B.
02:40in 2019, he still thinks they would have won the Super Bowl.
02:43Right.
02:44And, you know, you see what A.B. did the next year with Tampa.
02:48They won the Super Bowl.
02:49Right.
02:49So, it's obvious that he would be a massive help,
02:52but I just don't think the Patriots would do it.
02:55I don't want him.
02:57I don't want him.
02:58He's not.
