00:00:41we'll roll right off this is just a quick intro bosco got a one game suspension a lot of people
00:00:46at barstool will ask is barstool a work is it wwe is bosco crazy he had an outburst that i felt
00:00:54deserved i didn't like to do it but i felt he had to get suspended this happened after the show last
00:01:00week we'll roll the clip real quick show why bosco is not here do is join the set don't don't that's

00:02:49him right there because saying but to do his defense and do to do he came in relaxed and if you
00:02:54have a psychopath who's on 110 you probably don't like if you're not at 110 do you want to fight when
00:03:01a guy is going ballistic and you're you're you just woke up basically but it's usually the other way
00:03:06around the calm and cool collective guy is the one that's going to be doing all the head busting this
00:03:10is going to cost you a lot of money because the dude's already up to 350 000 is what it would take
00:03:14to work how much yeah and to be honest this could be i'm looking at the set right now and i whispered it

00:03:49if we're being totally cleaner it's a lot cleaner we may have we may be a three set three i'm so tired
00:03:58we may be a chair chair set um so but the rest of the week though we got everybody in so we're gonna

00:04:09this even in some of the clips i saw of it i thought we looked far away this looks like professional

00:04:27coming up which i'm very excited for um i think the two best football minds to talk nfl we have john
00:04:34gruden and we're gonna have greg olson together i have a couple subjects for them we call that
00:04:39the football g spot so that segment will be coming up later greg is flying back from the west coast
00:04:45is and so he's on a red eye he's gonna text when he's ready you know you can start a lot of different
00:04:51ways we gotta start with mississippi state oh yeah and walker i i you've been here for how long six
00:04:58years six years years you haven't had in football you had you had the run in baseball right you
00:05:05haven't had one good moment with mississippi state since you've been here no i haven't so i know it's
00:05:10a national show i know we should be talking bills ravens that amazing game tell me mississippi state
00:05:17was an amazing game too it was but nobody cares about it outside of his walls for the most part
00:05:22we needed it so bad mike leach died a couple years ago and then the program went into the depths and you
00:05:29didn't know what to do they hired the wrong coach and then they went two and ten last year went oh and
00:05:32eight in the sec bottomed out and starkville is a great place and all the national media and coach
00:05:39dillingham last week was like starkville you know they barely have any hotels and everybody just
00:05:42disrespects us we needed to to put some respect back on our name we needed a big win we needed a
00:05:47huge spotlight where the cowbells are crazy and we have a field storming mississippi state needed
00:05:52saturday night so badly and it felt so good to get it and and you're right i've been here six years
00:05:58i've never had a moment where i could celebrate like this at barstool it was incredible i couldn't
00:06:03tell if i was rooting for or against you now i didn't know if you were being very uh very nice
00:06:08because you didn't smile when it happened well i smile a lot first of all i did have i i did bet the
00:06:14game and i did have mississippi state plus the points the combo of the way that game happened
00:06:18made it more spectacular as a fan viewing maybe not as good for the season viewing meaning mississippi
00:06:27state if you watch this game they roared out i mean they roared i think it was 17 nothing it was
00:06:3117 nothing uh right into half they they kicked a field goal with uh three seconds before the half
00:06:35it's 17-3 so so total control of the game total control and then the game flips and and for all
00:06:42the money in the world it looked like they were a dead dog loser they have the goal line stand which
00:06:47is a spectacular stand to keep them out of the end zone at the very end and force them to kick a field
00:06:53goal a little more context there arizona state went 96 yards yes they got the ball with 10 minutes
00:06:58to go in a tie game they went 96 yards over nine minutes and they got to first and goal the one
00:07:03and mississippi state defense finally stood up and stopped them and forced a field goal and then you
00:07:07get really the miracle broken coverage which i don't know what arizona state what the safety was
00:07:11doing so it looked like you it was another loss and we can roll the footage of brandon watching the game
00:07:18but it looked like for sure another mississippi state failure and not a game that you had come
00:07:25close to winning since you've been here at barstool we haven't won that game in my life
00:07:29so like that's genuine too he's so oh that's that's so genuine and i blacked out a little bit
00:07:42are you sweating or is that just oh that's the shirt okay all right i got my son
00:07:46now does tommy root for mississippi state yeah he does is that because he's made he's made he's
00:07:51no dan dan big cat tricked him last year say you're an alabama fan was mother's in alabama my mom's
00:07:57big cat tricked him saying it's a roll tide and tommy fell for it but yeah a special moment and you
00:08:03know college football is the only sport that can give us that i think no no i disagree college football
00:08:08is the only sport that can give me that okay i'll say that college football is the only sport that can
00:08:12give me that and in the long run is mississippi state going to win the national title no it's
00:08:16mississippi state going to win the sec title no but did they give me a moment that that gets me right
00:08:21back into my fandom that gets me right back that fires me up yes it was an incredible moment
00:08:25saturday so let me ask you go ahead because he said last week the reason he was quiet didn't talk
00:08:31is you and i didn't shut up so well and then that's that's the fact that's what it is you know but
00:08:36but will miss will you be as disappointed as you are excited right now as if mississippi state
00:08:43loses to florida gators okay so florida's their own ball of wax here right so florida is facing a
00:08:50long long season it's a square ball it's not a round ball florida is florida is uh very much a better
00:08:57roster than mississippi state florida has a bad coach and i wonder who's going to be the coach when
00:09:00it comes up so no i have already mentally lost to florida in my mind because i respect the roster
00:09:04right and it's at the swamp but i do reserve the right to change if you guys continue to employ a
00:09:09coach who does not belong at the university of florida can i ask a follow-up can i ask a follow-up
00:09:13of course would you have rather get a win like that which gives you the moment you got tommy a rag
00:09:20doll and everyone's oh brand walker's so cute you're not an overly like cute guy right like you don't see
00:09:26me smile i smirked it's like oh walker got a moment but it's red flags because you really got
00:09:33dominated the second half of the game if these teams played again i would never take mississippi
00:09:36state um i would take or would you rather they just steamrolled them like holy cow i got a team
00:09:42here so i would rather have steamrolled when we were up 17 nothing and i was i was feeling good i was
00:09:47looking down through the schedule but you really can't replace moments like yeah right you can't
00:09:51replace uh you know going for two quarters you're getting dominated at the end you think oh you know
00:09:57same old me i'm sad i'm gonna go online i'm gonna be sad and then all of a sudden snap uh and
00:10:02that that's a moment that you can talk about in 10 years in 20 years for mississippi state
00:10:06that play right there that might be significant it might not be but i will i would almost guarantee
00:10:11it will not be significant i'll still never forget that correct but let's clarify it will
00:10:16not be significant that is significant hold on hold on he's doing a thing hold on his life it's
00:10:22significant right in it will this be a mississippi is this the beginning when they play the rocky
00:10:28montage of a season of destiny it could be it could okay listen we went 2-10-0-8 last year
00:10:34we had the number 12 team at our house on saturday night and we pulled out that moment that moment is
00:10:39significant it it signals that that 2-10-0-8 crap is over and we are back to actually being a football
00:10:45program you're only as good as your last game bro that's it that's deep well brennan you can still go
00:10:502-10 you're 2-0 like theoretically the 2-10 stuff is not over yet shut up me shut up you can still

00:12:17more so for people who do the morning shows because i don't know how they watch the late game or maybe
00:12:23they do what i did because i i went to bed fairly early got to be up early looked at my phone i want
00:12:29to say i don't know what time but it was 40 to 25 when i looked at it i bet on the bills i shut it off
00:12:34went back to bed woke up just any gambler knows you just check you just check the score just to make
00:12:38sure yeah a miracle didn't happen i saw the score i couldn't remember whether they're plus one minus
00:12:43one went in it's like holy cow i won that bet um watch the highlights just a spectacular game
00:12:50or did you guys what like how did you guys manage it we're gonna be up at 5 a.m i'm in the same boat
00:12:55as you bro i can't stay up for the for the whole game so i watched the entire first half slept through
00:13:00the third quarter and woke up with five minutes to go i got lucky and i was able to see the comeback
00:13:04with the tip pass and then the fumble by derrick henry yep uh to set him up uh and it's a shame
00:13:09derrick henry did fumble because the storyline today should be year 10 derrick henry is still
00:13:13you look like a beast it is incredible this guy's in year 10 and he's doing the things he's doing
00:13:18but obviously two you know two mvps in this game uh i just want to thank the the bills and the
00:13:24ravens because yesterday was it lacked so many compelling matchups it was week one that's great
00:13:28of nfl football but there weren't that many compelling games and this one was incredible i'll tell you
00:13:32what was compelling what what is that alcaraz center oh you're flipping to tennis just like
00:13:38that to me that tennis match was better than this buffalo uh baltimore 41 40 on i get it i get it
00:13:45a 16 point comeback in the last four i understand this guy i am have you ever watched center or alcaraz
00:13:50play uh blutman has no no you no i'll worry about blutman all right clear no hard no i'm telling you
00:13:57give it a chance let's throw this to blutman who is a football guy and a tennis guy which game
00:14:02would you say was more exciting would you say it was the bills game or the u.s open finals now
00:14:08don't i guess you can incorporate it to the finals but what was your thought i'm an honest guy i always
00:14:14keep it a buck the bills ravens game was far more entertaining in my opinion young center versus
00:14:21carl carlos alcaraz is incredible it's happened three straight slam finals it's going to happen again
00:14:27i think this match u.s open final 2025 might get lost in the sauce in a few years of their rivalry
00:14:33can i ask a question to interrupt why in the world if you want to get new tennis fans yeah you have to
00:14:39have a calendar don't you don't you know when the nfl starts why in a million years would the u.s open
00:14:46tennis people schedule the finals of alcaraz center in the middle of week one nfl that is going against
00:14:53king kong whoever is the marketing person should be shot i i wish i had an answer i if the u.s open
00:15:00started one week earlier and they played the final last sunday little college football little u.s open
00:15:06men's final or on labor day no because you're gonna play it on sunday okay sorry has always played well
00:15:13no i actually think he's right why could you play it on a holiday monday you'd have monday by yourself

00:15:23in cincy and it got a lot of hate uh three weeks ago alcaraz center it got a lot of hate for being
00:15:28played uh in the middle of the day on a monday well let me tell you it's extremely arrogant not to know
00:15:33what your fan base wants and who maybe no like nfl we're gonna go to our first break of the show uh
00:15:39after a rousing opening segment talking mississippi state football you chose that not me as that's because
00:15:44i care about my employees and i appreciate you should have the cowboy cowbell on the table
00:15:48that's a bad idea break where is it all right welcome back uh we we got into it a tiny bit
00:15:55that sunday night game amazing game bills ravens uh i i watched the recap this morning i shut off 40 25.
00:16:03my question for you guys would you rather coming out of this game be the ravens or the bills now clearly
00:16:10own one is ravens but they look far superior to me i would say that is a fluke win for the bills if
00:16:18you account for the fact they got a tip touchdown on fourth down game's over if they don't get that
00:16:24and just a one in a million play they get a fumble from henry again i would say i don't have the stats
00:16:30he never fumbles right that's a one in a million play um so for me the ravens look like the better
00:16:36team coming out i'd feel better about my chances but the w for the bills what do you think about
00:16:41that which team would you rather who feels better about themselves today if to me in my opinion if
00:16:47you feel good about a loss you're in the wrong place well it's all it's about you play the game
00:16:52to win right you have to win i don't care i don't like the other day we were playing golf and my buddy
00:16:57was like uh what you shoot what are you shooting right now and he said i uh one more than one less
00:17:02than j will and i thought to myself like so if i shoot a 762 as long as you do shoot a 761 you'll
00:17:09be happy and feel good about yourself he said yeah because i won i said well i guess i get that you
00:17:14see i think that guy's a moron but but as long friends a moron well he is a moron if you shot i
00:17:20mean if you saw 700 you know if you're bad like if i beat somebody else in golf and i'm bad i don't
00:17:26feel like oh i'm good at golf i know the next time i play good guy i'm gonna get trucked well see that's
00:17:30that's not that i'm just i'm just keeping it right here like in this match right here if we
00:17:34got money on this match right here and we shoot 760 and you shoot 761 and i win i don't know that's
00:17:39a fair analogy listen obviously the bills feel better about this about themselves today than
00:17:44they would have they they won the game they know they got away with one they probably believe they're
00:17:48still a good team they know they got away with one i think you're asking an either or question
00:17:52though that that we really shouldn't be i don't know about the answer to that one the either or
00:17:56question is is those questions the either or question is fine i think both teams probably feel
00:18:01pretty dang good about themselves when i looked at the chiefs and i looked at other afc contenders
00:18:04that didn't have much juice like the broncos the chiefs and on down the line both these teams should
00:18:08feel really really really good about themselves because both these teams are very good the ravens
00:18:13offense derrick henry in year 10 is still going lamar jackson is impossible to stop on the edge
00:18:17the throwing like the bills i think both teams should feel fantastic about where they stand right now
00:18:22i'm not if you you lost you lost fine sure sure big picture though big picture the ravens are

00:20:30he was slowing down right towards the end of his tennessee career unless you play quarterback
00:20:36there's no other position where a guy who's taken all that punishment so he looked the best like
00:20:41i've ever seen him yesterday well his slowing down tennessee might have been the fact that his tennessee
00:20:45teammates could slow down too he's not got great teammates he's running behind a ravens offensive
00:20:49line that's fantastic so that that could factor into my answer is clearly unequivocally i would
00:20:55rather be the ravens coming out of that game i thought they looked like an absolute beast the best i've seen
00:21:00and i'm not a lamar guy but that team looked like a super bowl team last night and i've never thought
00:21:05they looked like a super bowl team ever they also lost on the road to the bills and they know they
00:21:10they blew it they know they gave the game away and they don't come i don't think they come out of
00:21:14there depressed or sad or looking in the mirror saying oh what happened to us they come out there
00:21:18thinking oh we're a really good football team i'm just playing devil's advocate you're saying that
00:21:21they gave it they're not happy they lost do you not think the buffalo bills are sitting over there
00:21:25saying we took that game well with the tip pass the fumble i ain't got nothing to do with all that
00:21:29that's part of the game i mean like baltimore's wide receiving core is just so much better than
00:21:34buffalo's but i love khalil shakir keon coleman played very well yesterday buffalo doesn't have
00:21:39a true wr1 that's gonna hurt them in the long run baltimore that just lights a fire under your butt
00:21:45how do we lose that game how do we blow that we gotta get even better now to be able to win like the
00:21:50biggest games in this league baltimore benefits greatly from this it's a one game they're in the
00:21:56playoffs we already know that not tripping that's a legitimate super bowl contender i think the
00:22:01winner so i'm not saying they don't benefit from it but but if you ask anybody from west virginia
00:22:07that question would you rather be on the winning side or the losing side they're gonna pick the
00:22:10winning side every time that's a west virginia that's right west by god you think it's just west
00:22:15virginia i'm just saying that's just where i'm 49 states don't care about winning i'm just saying
00:22:19that's where i'm from and that's how i grew up and where you're from obviously you took the
00:22:23you would rather be the ravens you lost i don't know if it has anything to do with me
00:22:28i'm saying i look at i'm looking at the nfl as a week one win truly doesn't mean anything in the
00:22:34scheme of the season i agree i agree but if you ask everybody that lost would they rather be
00:22:391-0 as opposed to 0-1 well it's loss yeah but losing losing on the road to buffalo you you you're
00:22:46able to realize as a professional athlete because i would know and not you you you're able to realize
00:22:51that hey we lost to buffalo we lost to a very good team but we are very good we had that game
00:22:56in the palm of our hands and it was us that we're the reason that we lost that and we're going to fix
00:23:00that i think that's what they say and if you're what if you're holding and let's not even say
00:23:04player let's hold it you before the season you're holding a super bowl ticket you pick one team to
00:23:08win the super bowl right now which ticket would you rather be holding bills or ravens i'd have picked
00:23:12the packers that's good packers packers probably the most impressive i want to i want to i want to
00:23:19i want to rewind on this a little bit just just because i played that doesn't mean that my opinion
00:23:23is a lot better than yours just because you didn't play oh right that's the right i think i think i
00:23:28think you know i might know i might know a little bit more about my my sport that i played maybe
00:23:35there's there's people out there that didn't play basketball that might know a little bit more
00:23:39about basketball than me but in this instance we're watching the games on tv we kind of know
00:23:44football you know we see the same thing so i'm not i'm not i'm not one of those guys that thinks
00:23:49that you guys are lower than me because i played and you didn't i always and and i was going to ask
00:23:53the the gruden and olsen that question that of course is a big debate ryan clark uh went after
00:24:01uh peter schrager from nfl network they got in debate about a game and ryan clark who's one of the
00:24:05all-time jerks in the history of mankind he he is a race baiter you can say that i don't know if we
00:24:11can say this he is the only time he's in the news is when he's picking fights and then apologizing
00:24:16but he yelled at uh peter schrager basically saying hey shut up you didn't play football
00:24:21you can't talk i've never understood that like i get playing the game but there's a lot of morons who
00:24:28play the game there's a lot of bad gms who played football there's a lot of bad coaches who played
00:24:33football watching football being around football being around sports so i appreciate you j will
00:24:38saying you didn't have to play the game certainly not to have an opinion right and there's a lot
00:24:42of good coaches and gms that did not play the game correct a lot of guys in football in front
00:24:46offices that did not play the game they know what they're doing and schrager knows what he's talking
00:24:50about 100 peter schrager is a very good analyst and knows what he is talking about hell they don't
00:24:55even have the best uh offensive coordinator in the land under contract anywhere yours truly i i let me
00:25:02tell you this i want i watched that buffalo bills game yesterday and i saw josh allen get stuffed on
00:25:08a qb sneak doing the same tush push without the push this cost them potentially super i don't think
00:25:16they would have beaten the eagles but it cost them a trip to the super bowl that they are they don't
00:25:20know how to do the tush push they you put two fatzos up behind his ass and you push they don't they

00:25:33world where the eagles have made every single human's brain forget the quarterback sneaking

00:34:46the worst teams for me giants pats browns dolphins those teams are all trash one of them mine done
00:34:51might as well put a fork in their season the best chargers uh packers commanders eagles both teams i
00:34:58thought looked good but what did you take away from yesterday's action well i think the new york
00:35:04giants when you leave the giants you play good i mean daniel jones what a story he is i mean he goes
00:35:10into a long list of xavier mckinney leonard williams saquon barkley daniel jones played great for the
00:35:16colts and he really gave them a shot in the arm i i was shocked the game last night you know you
00:35:23you score 40 points you rush for 235 yards i think teams are 277 and oh when that happens
00:35:31but when buffalo comes back to beat baltimore that shocked me i was impressed with a lot of the new
00:35:37defensive coordinators honestly al golden in cincinnati lou anarumo in indianapolis salas
00:35:44returned to the 49ers and this anthony campanelli of jacksonville these four new defensive coordinators
00:35:51did some good stuff and then finally i love seeing what aaron rogers did with the pittsburgh
00:35:57steelers four touchdown passes and i was really fired up for geno smith getting his first win as a
00:36:04raider those are just some of the things it's still opening week a lot yet to be decided so we
00:36:09had this debate earlier the game last night in a coach and a player perspective this is an interesting
00:36:15one who do you think feels better coming out of last night's game ravens bills really a miracle win
00:36:24by the bills they were dominated most of the game they score the the second to last touchdown bounces off
00:36:3017 guys's heads hands total fluke touchdown it's a fourth down play they don't score games over then
00:36:37you get henry with a fumble i don't have the stats we talk i don't think he ever fumbles that's a fluke
00:36:42play basically you recover that they had no business winning the game bills are one and oh ravens are
00:36:47own one who would you rather be in that locker room i'll go with you first greg since i'll i'll run

00:36:59never apologize in the nfl for a win and it's a lot easier to coach that film coming off a win the
00:37:06high the home game starting it but i think when all the dust settles i think as you just look over
00:37:11what's what model is more sustainable right as the season goes on the it just seems like so much of the
00:37:19workload falls on josh allen and yes he's the mvp yes he's the best player in the league it is just
00:37:25really hard to count on superman performances from one guy every single week throughout the
00:37:32course of the season right sometimes the ball is going to get tipped and it's going to get picked
00:37:36instead of being a touchdown so i think if i'm baltimore i'm saying you know what it took a
00:37:42herculean effort by josh allen between lamar jackson our offense hopkins obviously derrick henry he doesn't
00:37:49fumble some things didn't go our way we were on the road in a really hard place to play as as
00:37:54heartbreaking as the loss is for baltimore i actually think they come away saying you know
00:38:00we got a pretty good roster we got a pretty good squad and i think throughout the course of the season
00:38:06our style of play it plays i it sounds weird saying it after you lose but i actually think
00:38:13baltimore is in a pretty good spot to have a great year greg greg j will here nice to meet you yeah
00:38:18listen good to meet you with all that being said which one which team would you rather be on the
00:38:22one and oh team today or the oh yeah no don't get me wrong i want i want to play with josh allen right
00:38:27i mean he's he's incredible and again like i said it's it's always a lot easier to correct off the
00:38:33winning tape right guys are more open-minded guys are a little bit more willing to be coached you call
00:38:38a couple guys out they got to get their defense fixed buffalo mcdermott they knew all offseason all
00:38:44their effort through the draft was getting that defense fit and you know you give up 20 in each
00:38:49half i feel like you just got bullied the answer is you'd rather be on the ravens they coach what do
00:38:54you think you got bullied a little bit by the j will wasn't even supposed to speak in that section

00:39:32concerned about the ravens i was out there this spring they made a real effort to improve their
00:39:37pass defense they have five first round draft choices back there alexander showed up from green
00:39:43bay i didn't feel his presence at all malachi starks hamilton in the back end you give up 400 yards
00:39:50passing in predictable situations i didn't feel the fourth quarter pass rush uh when you lose a lead
00:39:57like this and give up 41 points and you're a baltimore raven this does not sit well they got to go back
00:40:03to work this is where ed reed and ray lewis sugs these guys still come around the building man this
00:40:09is an embarrassing setback i think for the ravens they have put too much effort into this defense they
00:40:15got shredded and the head coach harbaugh he punted the ball to put some confidence i think in his
00:40:21defense to go out there win us a football game but uh you're talking on that last fourth and two i i thought
00:40:28that was a mistake i i think it ended up being a mistake but you're counting on your defense at
00:40:34some point in the game to get one stop i know but what i and i agree with you in theory but i think
00:40:39in the course of the game the same thing happened in my game yesterday right uh um seattle's got the
00:40:46ball it's like fourth and an inch it's 10 to 10 there's like three and a half minutes to go they've got
00:40:51the ball in like the plus 30 give or take and they kick a field goal to go up three purdy takes san
00:40:58francisco down and they end up getting a miraculous kind of scramble third down touchdown and and they
00:41:04take the lead and they end up winning so often we see teams in those opera in those situations
00:41:09in what point we just got done saying their defense wasn't good neither team's defense was good you
00:41:14scored one team scored 41 and won by a point one scored 40 and lost neither defense was good the fact
00:41:20that at any moment in that game you would say hey i'm gonna rely on my defense to get a stops coach
00:41:25i'm i'm saying my offense has been unstoppable i've scored 40 i'm gonna keep the foot on the
00:41:30pedal i'm gonna go for it i'm gonna put the ball in the hands of lamar and derrick henry because
00:41:35they've been so you're saying that fourth and two on their own 38 you don't get that it's a field
00:41:40goal the other side by the way not to baltimore's defense coach you're probably singing a different
00:41:46tune if they stop them on fourth and two they gave up a touchdown the opening drive after that
00:41:52they played really good again i know breaks but that fourth and two or fourth and three that they

00:42:22things they got to play a lot better than they did last night and they got to start generating some
00:42:27turnovers they only got 17 last year they got zero last night this is a big play defense this is the
00:42:34baltimore ravens i'm holding their standard a lot higher than everybody else i think we're talking
00:42:39about in the league it was a disappointing start for them i hope they put the wheels back on and
00:42:45respond i think that'll be key for this team all right i switching gears here we're going to college
00:42:52football i don't know if you guys saw this i assume you did fran brown syracuse plays uconn they pull
00:42:58a rabbit out of their hat they're losing the whole game come back winning overtime and what do we got
00:43:05after the game we have fran brown making his team run wind sprints in front of everybody let's roll the
00:43:12clip i i so you guys can see i assume you saw it seems a little bit performative here and the guys
00:43:19aren't exactly busting ass either they're kind of slow wind sprints um you guys coached and played
00:43:27coach have you ever made your team run wind sprints after a game win loss or either no i have not but
00:43:35i have seen howard schnellenberger at louisville when my brother was the quarterback have a one in the
00:43:40morning scrimmage and pouring rain after they got beat by memphis i don't think this is a real good
00:43:46thing for syracuse football if i was one of those players i would be a little bit embarrassed today
00:43:52right you ever have to run sprints after a game i'd rather do a one if i'm i agree with coach i'd
00:44:00rather the one o'clock scrimmage in the rain to me this is about doing it in front of everyone and
00:44:06saying look at us look how much we care look how much i care it does feel performative i have no
00:44:12problem with accountability i have no problem with getting in guys faces and challenging them especially
00:44:17if you don't feel like they're playing up to the standard i think fran brown's done a great job
00:44:22in just a short time kind of building that culture in syracuse and getting them relevant
00:44:27in the football world but i just think there's a time and a place and and i think anytime i'm not
00:44:32a big like look at me go out there and put yourself on the platform and and i don't know i i'm with
00:44:37coach i i don't love it i think there's other ways to do it behind the scenes to make sure you get
00:44:42guys attention that there's an expectation of level of performance and standard and all those things

00:46:28junior we're giving the ball to this lady i'd have threw it right back on the field it's a lot
00:46:33happening quickly here there's other videos of this this lady then gave the bird to the crowd
00:46:40she got another guy's face later this was everywhere there's wanted posters with her face on it
00:46:46that says wanted karen it has like 30 million views on it so this has been hotly hotly contested like
00:46:54what would you do if the dad who was right greg you're wearing the youth hat right now you do a
00:47:01youth podcast if this is you and your son first of all would you scramble for the ball like that dad
00:47:07did and then what do you do once it happens yeah so i mean it's not game seven of the world series so
00:47:14i don't think i'm like jumping over the bleachers to go steal like this historic ball and so i first
00:47:20off i'm probably not chasing the ball down if it didn't come directly to me i'm probably not
00:47:25overly concerned about the ball having said that i know for a lot of people that go to the game
00:47:29especially with young kids getting a foul ball is kind of like the dream right that's the exciting
00:47:34moment we see it all the time so i do think in the stands it's all fair you know in love war and
00:47:41finding foul balls i think it's everybody for their own you come up with the ball in your hands
00:47:46it's your ball it almost when i first saw it it almost looked like it was fake like it looked like
00:47:52it was a plant and like we were being and we were being kind of like pranked so i know the guy's trying
00:47:58to de-escalate that lady is nuts um but if you care that much to go run as far as he did to get
00:48:05that ball for your kid i think you got to hang on to it that's me i'm probably not giving her the ball
00:48:10but i probably don't have the ball in the first place because it probably it wasn't hit close enough
00:48:15for me to really care that much once that ball goes into that kid's glove it's it's over it's
00:48:20she can't if she comes over there she better have a tank with her to get that ball out of my

00:55:18all right welcome back we've made it what do we made it an hour and 15 minutes into this show
00:55:24without mentioning uh the michigan oklahoma game i can sum it up we have this video we'll roll this
00:55:33video right now this pretty much sums up what happened in this game it's about a five to seven
00:55:38second video and that is just a michigan fan and a headlock being passed around headlock to headlock
00:55:46uh and just being choked out in norman and that is what happened score 24 13 it wasn't nearly that close
00:55:59listen i i i hated the game plan for michigan we have this kid bryce underwood who i've been touting
00:56:06and you know i'm going national shows i'm on this show i'm not just on barstool show i'm big
00:56:11new kickoff and i'm i'm screaming michigan michigan michigan this was bad this was bad on a million
00:56:18different levels they got dominated on the line of scrimmage it looked like last year when we didn't
00:56:22have a forward pass they didn't let the kid throw now that's a bad pass there early but it was run run
00:56:28pass run run pass run run pass predictable situations predictable play calling listen i don't know that any
00:56:37of it would have mattered but they they didn't go in there to win the game they went in there to not
00:56:43get embarrassed maybe get a lucky break and something happens but just a horrible performance
00:56:49from michigan i don't know what i was expecting but i expected a lot more to let the quarterback
00:56:55try to make plays and they just didn't i don't know why you expected that sharon moore has never shown
00:57:00that he's going to do that you've got a lamborghini now running your offense and they're still running the
00:57:05same three yards in a cloud of dust i i don't they did it when jj mccarthy but that can work when you
00:57:09have the best offensive line in college football and the best running backs in college football
00:57:13oklahoma's defense is very very good you got a freshman quarterback i guess maybe you wanted to
00:57:17protect him but what are you protecting him for what do you go out and pay the money for the guy
00:57:21if you're just going to not use his arm and he is a very good quarterback he's going to be a very
00:57:25good quarterback but under this coach i don't really see it i i think the michigan is going out
00:57:31there with a 1950s offensive personality right now and that is not who they have a quarterback
00:57:36yeah i mean i i mean i don't know how you can fight that i'm not fighting it was as defeated
00:57:42as i've been i was doing the stream i've talked about it uh casey and t bob who host they had nine
00:57:47bottles of wine deep wouldn't shut up my team's getting choked out it was one of the worst four
00:57:53hours i i left that i texted my girlfriend i go i just had the worst night of my life the worst night
00:57:59it was that you couldn't do anything there was nothing to cheer about you got bryce underwood
00:58:05getting a fight on the sidelines i like that did you like i did like that okay i like that fire from
00:58:10a first yes and but let the kid play what's the point of putting him in there if you're not going
00:58:13to let him play you know i i i do like it but not there not not on the sideline where we can see it
00:58:19but but that's where you're there you're gonna do it well you're in the mix i understand but then
00:58:23you can't do it and justice haynes by the way the running back from michigan is very very good he's
00:58:27very good he's he's fantastic i just uh i like seeing a freshman quarterback get in somebody's
00:58:32face and say all right this is how we're going to do some things i get that's how you become a leader
00:58:35i do but you can't do it you can't do it for all of us to see you're gonna wait till halftime well i
00:58:39don't know you got to figure that out that's part of your that's part of your job this goes with what
00:58:42i said you don't think i could call a better game than chip lindsey oh dave can't be an offensive
00:58:48how hard is it to be hey uh power right power left it was the same and in they never throw the ball more
00:58:56than five yards and even i didn't even see traditional screen passes when you know they're
00:59:02russian like there was this was the worst called game you didn't even give them a chance you didn't

00:59:27if they've coached him not to run which i don't know why you would do that oklahoma's defense is
00:59:31really good that's what i was getting it is a really really good defense we gotta give oklahoma some
00:59:35credit you're also on the road against the power five team a historic team just like michigan you're on
00:59:39the road uh a hundred thousand people like it's a tough environment for a freshman they were probably
00:59:43too careful with him but probably they're not winning that game anyway oklahoma's defense was was good
00:59:48mateer is you know greg olsen was talking about john allen where josh allen has to do everything
00:59:53great mateer has to do everything for oklahoma and he's good at it mateer you you you hear comparisons
00:59:59all the time not always accurate he reminds me of baker he has that little stop and go move when he
01:00:05runs yeah he didn't throw the ball exceptionally well but he's so dangerous with the feet michigan's
01:00:11defense played well but i i don't care you you gotta let and maybe if you're saying oklahoma's i like
01:00:17hearing oklahoma oklahoma's defense is good i don't think oklahoma i don't these are two ranked
01:00:20teams i'm not sure both should have been ranked i think they both have a lot of questions but
01:00:25oklahoma's defense is very good to me it looked like michigan showed up not knowing if they could
01:00:30win oklahoma showed up knowing that they could win well it meant more to venables too like venables
01:00:34is going in year four now and he's that's a whole that's a whole different issue if it meant more to
01:00:37the end you know he has to win this game you know what i mean i mean michigan has to win that game
01:00:41too that's what i'm thinking i mean i think it meant something big to michigan i just think they have a
01:00:47testicle-less head coach who's yes he's testicle-less correct so when you when you testicle-less there's
01:00:54something that has become the the world of sports is becoming way too cautious and scared and trying
01:01:02to protect these guys bryce underwood the legs are great use them utilize them help them showcase why
01:01:08he's so special when you take that off because you're scared of him getting hurt you're now limiting
01:01:13his upside why do we do that bryce underwood you let the kid make a mistake and you let them learn
01:01:19back in the day when i was growing up these quarterbacks they would throw interceptions they
01:01:23would make mistakes and what what would they do they'd go watch the tape they'd learn they'd get
01:01:28better from it gotta let a guy make a mistake to become great it happens and instead the the
01:01:34average depth of target was maybe a yard and a half it was pathetic no attempt to stretch the field i
01:01:39will say clearly sharon moore has and now harbaugh built that michigan team in in his
01:01:47in his mirror image smash mouth football run it down your throat and we are going into the game
01:01:53that's what we're going to do the great the truly great coaches and belichick when he's at his best
01:01:57if you go look at the patriots teams that won super amoebas they had different type of offenses
01:02:02sometimes they wanted defense sometimes run the football sometimes airing it out you can't you got to
01:02:07play to your personnel this michigan team right now we don't blow people off the ball you can't

01:05:11the best resume you could argue it if you want to argue and be sure you could argue it you could

01:05:19you can argue resume he's right sure so so you guys are saying ucf were national champions the year
01:05:25that alabama won it they're 17 well no they didn't have the best wins so at this point in the
01:05:31season nobody has two better wins i'm not so sure they have a great resume i'm not sure boise
01:05:36state and florida are good wins well are they good usf has miami next so let's see what if they
01:05:41beat miami oh yeah miami just rank them number one with a full thank you well i'm not going to
01:05:46agree come out if they beat miami next week they're the undisputed number one team in the country i'd
01:05:52put them in the top ten they're not the undisputed number one what do they have to do to beat beat a
01:05:56top five team every week they would have to go 12 and 0 and then in the rise as the other teams fall
01:06:00like ohio state is right now i'm not going to sit here and say uh usf is better than ohio state because
01:06:04they beat boise and florida i'm just not going to do it boise florida and miami in three weeks
01:06:08in a row if you would be very impressive if you don't put them number one then you don't you you
01:06:12have no vote in the day port night poll i have a vote i have the brandon walker compared to the
01:06:16penn state cupcake schedule they have that's impressive all right nevada fiu and villanova but
01:06:23indiana wants to get all the cupcake cake saying i'm not sure what we're talking about that blutman lost

01:08:28all not at all shocking so that was a big one um missouri i thought missouri over kansas you know
01:08:35these rivals should play in college football so many rivals just stop playing when they when they
01:08:39break up they hadn't played since 2011 but like texas texas a&m hadn't played in a while before they
01:08:43played last year oklahoma oklahoma state's not playing but anyway kansas missouri should play
01:08:47every year missouri's off to a sneaky pretty good start boker beula that quarterback from penn
01:08:51state is very very good that running game is very good missouri is a sneaky playoff team was that the
01:08:56the best part of that game wasn't even in the game though no it was it was the kicker yeah the guy who
01:09:01won the chance towards the uh so they do a contest you can kick a field goal i think it was to win 30 or
01:09:0640 grand uh the guy had one leg to begin with he's on a prosthetic leg he lifts his shirt up i believe it
01:09:14said something about derogatory about kansas and then he kicks the ball at the kansas sideline by the
01:09:21way are you calling missouri a playoff team because their schedule is schedule is very manageable
01:09:27because i thought kansas actually should have won that football kansas this game so missouri won 42 31
01:09:32won by 11 points it was not an 11 point game at all it was back and forth back and forth back and
01:09:36forth missouri just threw the last punch so but i think kansas is pretty good too so kansas is pretty
01:09:41good i think missouri's schedule is very very very manageable from here on out the path to 10 and
01:09:45two for them is very easy heck the path to 11 11 and one is is not that difficult i think uh missouri can
01:09:53do it but this this guy now this really is something that i'll i think is college football and only
01:09:58happens in college football a guy has a chance to win 25 000 but says no i'm gonna wear a shirt that says

01:12:28i was kind of in a similar situation like this one point in my career when i was with the grizzlies i
01:12:32said we suck you know we're the worst team in the league this that and the other and and i got fined
01:12:37for that you know and um where was your standing at this point in the team uh player second best player
01:12:42third what well let's get it i was never the best player on any of my teams probably i was middle of
01:12:47the pack on most all my teams so let's just get that i mean i wasn't i didn't have no no say or whatever
01:12:52but you know i mean hubie brown the best coach i ever had he told me never keep anything inside
01:12:56because it might cause an ulcer and an ulcer is way worse pain than then and if you said something
01:13:01that that meant harm to someone so i said what i had to say and i said we sucked and and i got fined
01:13:06for it and the general manager come down and want me to talk to the team and apologize to the team and i
01:13:11stood up and i was like you know what mr jerry west wants me to apologize to y'all but but i don't think
01:13:16i owe y'all an apology because i think we do suck you know i i see where he's coming from saying that
01:13:21i need to apologize to you guys if i said y'all suck i said we now angel re in angel reese's case
01:13:28she said my teammates suck she didn't say nothing about her this that and the other and again all
01:13:33these girls are talking about complaining about wmba money and nba money they should get the same well
01:13:38that that's the story for another day you know we don't have time for that but we're going to get
01:13:42into that some other day i just to clarify i don't think they've actually said that they should be
01:13:46getting paid more than they are but i don't think they expect nba money but they wear shirts that say
01:13:51pay us what we're worth whether they're worth a heck of a lot more than i'm not so sure how are they
01:13:55worth more than that if they're losing 40 million a year as a company well that 40 million that number
01:14:00you can debate right because but they're losing i don't know if they're losing anymore their their tv
01:14:06contracts are huge the franchises are being sold for 350 million was the last i get that
01:14:12and that's all because of one person and and and it seems like everybody in the wmba is throwing
01:14:17shade and trying to trying to bring this one person down that's creating all this buzz for for your
01:14:22for your league and for your teams and for everybody involved in wmba you're not going to try to bear
01:14:27trap me to start arguing against caitlin clark when i'm the biggest fan but they do have other stars
01:14:34there i think the league is rising angel makes i don't like angel but that rivalry is something page is
01:14:40something it's a league on the rise for sure and and they do have stars but but they get to talking
01:14:46about nba money and wmba money the nba has stars well you want to talk about star no doubt they're not
01:14:51asking for nba money we got about a minute left you're going to monday night football i am you said
01:14:57your first nfl game that's crazy that is crazy yeah and you know who my team is uh the minnesota vikings
01:15:04i still don't know chicago bears i'm going to support soldier field tonight i'm going to buy
01:15:11some hot dogs i'm going to buy hopefully you guys got you got you got cokes instead of pepsi um
01:15:18but chicago is not going to get out of soldier field like jj the michigan man um i don't i'm going to
01:15:27i'm going to reserve that right i haven't seen it yet that's a no i think i think hasn't seen it yet
01:15:32i think any any of us could play quarterback for the vikings with the weapons that they have and be
01:15:36be successful and especially with the coach that they have so we're going to see so you're going
01:15:41to soldier field tonight to get a win for the 30 seconds who are you picking tonight i got the
01:15:44vikings bears i don't like mccarthy i think mccarthy is one of the best quarterbacks we're going to see
01:15:50in a long time that's same same work ethic as tom brady same school as tom brady um national
01:15:55championship i think he's going to be very good not the same talent as tom brady i think the only
01:15:59may have more talent though like you said with the vikings right now so i love the vikings tonight
