The style, the music, the attitude; everything that incorporates 'Scene' resonated with her... And once it got its claws in, it never let go. Tessa, told Transformed: "My style is very bold, colourful, with my funky tights, cool socks and shoes, also a lot of zombie stuff really inspires my style. The most identifiable thing about Scene is the hair! All people have to do is look at my hair and realise 'Oh yeah, they're scene'!" Despite Tessa feeling like her true self in her 'Scene' aesthetic, members of her family haven't always approved... But that hasn't stopped her from dressing the way she wants. Tessa has, however, received some harsh judgment from the outside world which has affected her at times. Tessa said: "I've walked outside to the mailbox and neighborhood kids have called me the Grinch, or Wasabi head. Some old people have even said there's a circus in town when they've seen me. They made me feel really bad about myself and self-conscious." Despite these judgements, Tessa loves her look and lives her own life despite people's opinions. Today, with the help of makeup artist Jasmine, Tessa is planning a huge surprise for her boyfriend Seth. For their 9th anniversary date, she's stripping back her 'Scene' style and going 'Natural Glam', as this is a look he's wanted her to try for quite some time. Will Seth love the new Tessa? 01:08I really take inspiration from when I was growing up, like Monster High dolls and Bratz

01:14I wanted to look like a little doll on the shelf.

01:16The most identifiable thing about scene is the hair and the makeup.

01:20That's the most identifiable way to look at someone and be like, oh yeah, there's a scene.

01:24You can tell by the hair.

01:26For my fiance and I's ninth anniversary, I'm going to be transforming into a model look.

01:33He's always thought that I look beautiful, natural, and I don't need all the hair and

01:38makeup and stuff like that.

01:39So I'm kind of worried and excited to see if he likes it more than my current look.

01:46And if he does like it more than he's going to be sleeping outside.

01:50Today for Tessa, we're doing a natural glam.

01:52We're just really going to accentuate her natural features and bring her natural beauty to life.

01:57Really just give a very skin-like finish, accentuating the eyes and just sculpting out the natural features of her face shape.

02:18This is a CeraVe retinol serum, resurfacing retinol serum.

02:21So it's really good for pores, dark spots, acne, and just giving a nice smooth look overall over time.

02:28And so I love this stuff.

02:30I first got introduced to the scene through my older sister in like 2007 or so.

02:36She was one of the like Myspace scene girls.

02:39I got to go to shows with her.

02:41It just hooked me from there.

02:43It's like, oh, this is, this is what I want to look like, like this.

02:46I love the music.

02:47I love the style.

02:48I love the attitude.

02:49It just drew me in.

02:51There was a period of time where I became an adult.

02:54Like I just had turned 20 and I had family around me that was like, you know, it's people

03:00aren't really going to take you seriously if you look this way and dress this way.

03:05So I ended up getting rid of my green hair, taking out my piercings.

03:09And it was the worst period of time for me because I just felt so unlike myself.

03:16I miss the scene so much.

03:17I miss that whole lifestyle.

03:19And it's like the same time the pandemic was happening.

03:22So I was like, oh my God, if I die tomorrow, like, am I happy with who I am?

03:26Am I being my true self?

03:27And the answer was no.

03:28After that point, I never looked back.

03:30So we're going to be using the Morphe palette just to add a little bit of shimmer to the

03:34eye, just to give it a little pop of color.

03:39And then we're using a liquid eyeliner by Anastasia, which I love and I think you'll like

03:44it too since you're a big eyeliner fan.

03:46When I was younger, I got judged a lot on how I looked.

04:24And I had a lot of insecurities coming from that.

04:34I love liquid blush because I feel like it really just sculpts the cheeks before putting

04:38powder on it.

04:39For the lips, I'm going to do an Anastasia lip color in Crush and then a Kylie Jenner lip

04:45pencil just to give her a little definition, a like nice pink look, just very nice and neutral.
