00:00With the Leeds suicide rate higher than the England average,
00:04the Leeds Strategic Suicide Prevention Group is aiming to recruit at least 194 suicide prevention champions,
00:10one for every Leeds resident who died by suicide between 2019 and 2021.
00:16Suicide is more common in West Yorkshire than the rest of England.
00:19Nationally, it's our biggest killer of men and women aged between 20 and 34.
00:23We believe that every suicide is preventable and have a zero suicide vision for West Yorkshire.

00:30We're urging everyone in West Yorkshire to sign up and become a Suicide Prevention Champion.
00:34By learning more about suicide, helping to challenge stigma and encouraging action,
00:39together we can bring down the suicide rate.
