00:00What a freak!
00:01Oh, what a goal!
00:02Oh, look at the action!
00:04Oh, pretty good!
00:05Rudy!
00:06Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:30Good evening.
00:51Three games to show you on tonight's Match of the Day,
00:54with goals, grudges and the odd bit of controversy thrown in.
00:57Troy Deeney and Rob Green with us for all the talking points,
01:00and there are plenty of those.
01:02For the very first time on Match of the Day,
01:04we head to the Hill Dickinson Stadium,
01:06Everton's brand new home at Bramley Moor Dock on Liverpool's waterfront.
01:10Brighton were the first visitors.
01:11Guy Mowry is your commentator.
01:16It might take a while for some Evertonians to get used to their new home by the water.
01:21Change can be difficult.
01:22It will be after 133 years at Goodison Park.
01:26But first impressions often linger.
01:29And this place is mightily impressive from every angle.
01:34You couldn't say that about Everton's first performance of the season at Leeds on Monday,
01:39with David Moyes reacting by making two changes to his team today.
01:43Charlie Alcaraz and Beto make way for Jack Grealish and Cherno Barry,
01:48both starting for the Toffees for the first time.
01:51Just one change.
01:53Brighton, who threw away two points later on in game one against Fulham.
01:57Jorginho Rutte has been ruled out.
01:59So it's over to the experience of Danny Welbeck,
02:02a scorer in his final two starts at Goodison.
02:05It's an I was there day, but will the match itself be one to remember?
02:15Jai skips through, keeps going despite being impeded.
02:20The shot easily saved by Verbruggen, but Ilymenen Jai sparkling from the start.
02:28This was beautiful.
02:29Could have been a free kick, but well played Ilymenen Jai, keeping his feet and going for goal.
02:35The boys focused on the job in hand.
02:40I was saying this week he was looking forward to coming to the new stadium as a supporter,
02:45and then got off at the Everton job again.
02:47Win-win.
02:48Tarkovsky, I mean to watch that all the way, and he's missed it.
02:51And it's allowed Mitoma in.
02:53Mitoma has a go and hits the top of the bar.
02:56Magnificent attempt.
03:01And James Tarkovsky is mightily relieved that that was just a fraction too high and only just.
03:08That's technique.
03:12Kind of deserved a goal.
03:18Fabian Herzler looks in animated mood.
03:20I think he's trying to counter the atmosphere that his team are up against here.
03:24Making his own voice heard.
03:26Making it clear to his players that they're here as well.
03:30Tony Bloom, the Brighton owner, is here as well.
03:36Van Hecker.
03:39Brighton's starting to look good.
03:41Vifa.
03:42Minta has been overtaken by Idrissa Garnike, who's gone too far.
03:45Minta across off.
03:47That had to be in.
03:49Danny Welbeck has somehow popped it over.
03:53Mitoma hit the bar when he had no right to do.
03:56Welbeck missed the target when he had no right to do.
03:59Barry.
04:00Left on the floor.
04:01N'Jai.
04:02And skipped past a couple once more.
04:03Dewsbury Hall's taken it down and finds Grealish.
04:04And this is really good for Everton.
04:05Brighton back in numbers.
04:06Grealish.
04:07And it's in from N'Jai.
04:08And it's in from N'Jai.
04:14Brighton back in numbers.
04:15Brighton back in numbers.
04:16Grealish.
04:17And it's in from N'Jai.
04:18There it is.
04:19The historic first Premier League goal at Everton's new home.
04:33Exactly what Jack Grealish has been brought to this football club for.
04:41Grealish.
04:42Put in a lovely delivery.
04:43And invited anybody.
04:45Anyone would do in blue to attack it.
04:48Ilium and N'Jai did that.
04:50And if you thought this place was loud before the start.
04:54Fantastic noise.
04:56And in amidst the celebrations.
05:00A moment of lovely symmetry as well.
05:03Scorer of the last goal at Goodison Park.
05:06Scorer of the first goal.
05:09Down by the river.
05:1026 minutes played.
05:15And applause rings around the ground in memory of Michael Jones.
05:19The Everton fan from Kirby.
05:21Who tragically died two years ago this month.
05:24He was working on construction of this great site.
05:28And it's a nice touch for Everton football club.
05:36Here's Mutoma.
05:41Beliba.
05:44The Hecker.
05:45Has a goal and hits the post with Pigford struggling.
05:48De Kuyper seen off it by Tarkovsky who stayed down after the challenge.
05:56And the free kick goes to Everton.
06:00A why not moment from the centre back.
06:02Struck Grealish.
06:03That's why it's spun away from the palm of Jordan Pigford.
06:07You can see here Tarkovsky's there first.
06:11Then takes a whack from Maxim de Kuyper.
06:17And Hecker looking to find Minta in the first few seconds of the time added on.
06:20Welbeck has it now.
06:22Alari stretch but can't keep the ball as a result.
06:26Tarkovsky was hesitant.
06:27And has given the ball to O'Reilly.
06:29And Pigford has saved him.
06:34Tarkovsky bites his shirt.
06:35Hangs his head.
06:36And thanks Jordan Pigford profusely.
06:41Dug out of a huge hole.
06:43That was all of his own digging.
06:48Huge let off Everton.
06:49Huge.
06:55Giant.
06:56Barry.
06:58Nobody in the middle for him yet.
07:00You can now have to think about this a little differently.
07:02Good spot to see Idrissa Garner gay.
07:04And he's picked out Grealish.
07:09Back to Garner.
07:10Garner's left.
07:11Oh wow.
07:16That's ripped home.
07:22What a stunner.
07:24From James Garner.
07:31And it's another assist for Jack Grealish.
07:33One of his easier ones.
07:37A rocket from Garner.
07:38Everton two.
07:39Brighton nil.
07:44The housewarming.
07:45Is going as they planned it.
07:46The housewarming.
07:47Is going as they planned it.
07:49A kickoff.
07:55The close.
07:57Air cut.
08:01Viele.
08:04Jai.
08:05Just lost out.
08:06Mitomma has it.
08:07We've found Ayari.
08:08Iare trying to shoot.
08:09Straight against the Gloves of Pigford.
08:11De Kuyper puts the brakes on, Mitoma will help him out now, didn't help himself.
08:25Another shot that ideally for Brighton could have done with a deflection,
08:29just to take it away from Jordan Pickford.
08:36A little glum, Fabian Herzler.
08:41Looks like being just one point from Brighton's opening two games.
08:46Mitoma.
08:50Really good ball outside of the boot, here's Minter.
08:53Charged down.
08:55And the referee says penalty, charged down with the hands of Dewsbury Hall in the view of Stuart Atwell.
09:01Hand in front of his chest, it's kind of clamped in, it does hit his hand, but what are you supposed to do, just get out of the way?
09:14So Brighton might have a way back.
09:17Matt O'Reilly scored from the spot against Fulham last week, scored from the spot on the final day of last season at Spurs,
09:23but he's given this one away to Danny Welbeck.
09:27Is he good enough to beat Pickford from the spot?
09:30And get Brighton back into this game, contest back on, if this one goes in.
09:34Welbeck taking plenty of time, and saved by Pickford.
09:45Anticipated it, read it, saved it.
09:49There are many better, saved two out of two in the Premier League last season.
09:56From Anthony Gordon, and from Erling Haaland.
09:59Well now it's Danny Welbeck denied.
10:02Everton two, Brighton nil it remains.
10:07There's Jordan Pickford's homework.
10:09All taped up around the water bottle.
10:13No choppy waters on day one at the new home for Everton.
10:19All is happy and calm.
10:22In amongst many good performances, I've got to mention Jack Grealish,
10:25because there he is on his home debut, and two assists.
10:28I mean, that's just a glimpse, I guess, of what he is going to bring you.
10:31Well, that's what we've been hoping for and waiting for.
10:34We want to add that extra quality, and that's what we're trying to do.
10:37We're still improving, don't think we're there.
10:39We've got a completely makeshift back four at the moment.
10:42So I think they deserve a lot of credit for getting a result against Brighton today.
10:46It's not only about creating a chance of scoring the goals, it's also about having a defensive mindset and trying to defend together.
10:53And in some moments we didn't do it when we concede the goals, and there we have to improve.
10:59I didn't want to look at my bottle because I know people's out there gunning for it to be banned, but it's my trick, so I'll keep doing it.
11:08Well, I think we saw a glimpse of your bottle in close-up, and I think you said Welbeck 50% right and 50% left.
11:13So is there still an element of just anticipation?
11:15Yeah, but you haven't seen the little bit above, have you? The little detail above yet?
11:20Yeah, I had keepers left, so I was never changing my mind.
11:24You said this week that had you not been offered the job, you would have been back here at some point as a supporter watching games.
11:29Yeah. How was it as a manager and supporter all in one on day one?
11:32It was brilliant, because there is history today that it's the first game, and somebody will be standing and interviewing a manager here in a hundred years' time.
11:41You know, we'll all be well gone, but the point is we started it off today, and I hope that the history of the future is going to be a lot to be talked about.
11:50Well, they started it off well, and it looks absolutely stunning, doesn't it?
11:53Lucky Stadium, what a difference six days makes.
11:55Well, it was a really good day for Everton, and a really good day for Jack Grealish.
12:00He brought balance, and he brought width to the side, and it's something that they were really short of last week against Leeds.
12:07And you're looking at Jack Grealish, and his experience that he can use out on the pitch, out on the left-hand side, is where he played today.
12:14Going back six days, two against Leeds, and those are the two wingers in there.
12:19Very narrow, and you're left with six players in such a condensed area there against Leeds.
12:25It's really easy to defend, and when they do go wide, David Moyes touched on it.
12:30They've got a centre-back on the right-hand side here, and O'Brien on the left, who's a centre midfielder, a right-footed centre midfielder at left-back.
12:38And the running lines get cut off, the passing lanes get cut off, and the options just aren't there.
12:42We cut through to this week, and Ndai and Grealish gives them so much space, gives them so much width.
12:48You look at Dewsbury Hall, who's one of those six in that tight area.
12:52Now he's got a real abundance of space to switch the ball, to get out to.
12:57And it's just about maintaining that balance, maintaining that width that Jack Grealish, he knows what to do when he's out here.
13:03He wants to be in this position, and he can drive at a defender, and guess who's there on the far post?
13:08It's Ndai, scoring what was Everton's first goal in the stadium.
13:12A really well-worked goal, and something that Everton fans will be hoping for more and more of.
13:17And they got it in the second half, and again, Ndai and Grealish, you can see how much width that gives them,
13:23how much space it gives Dewsbury Hall out there.
13:26Barry with some really good centre-forward play that we'll touch on with later.
13:30But the combination there, we've highlighted Grealish at the top of the screen,
13:34just to hold his nerve, hold his width, hold the space to allow the other players to come in.
13:40And this is where Garner wants to be, a centre midfielder, in a centre midfielder's position,
13:45on his right foot, a wonder strike, a brilliant performance from Jack Grealish.
13:49And we go to show where he affected the game.
13:52Where does Jack Grealish want to be on the pitch? Where does he want to play?
13:55It's out on that left-hand side. He's tormenting the defences,
13:58but he's really held his shape, and he's held that shape for Everton.
14:02It was a really good day for them.
14:03And as many assists as he's had in the last two seasons,
14:06so it might be a bit futile, this question.
14:08Is that his best position? Or do you want to see him a little bit more central at times?
14:12Well, to me, it doesn't matter where he's playing. It's about how he feels.
14:16Does he feel loved? When he was at Aston Villa, he was on the left-hand side,
14:19but they gave him the ball, gave him that freedom.
14:21Man City was one of many great players, and I think it kind of stifled him a little bit,
14:26that every time he had to be very deliberate in his movement, deliberate with his play.
14:30I think you saw today, Jack Grealish, the first goal is Aston Villa, Jack Grealish.
14:35The second goal is Man City, Jack Grealish.
14:37But he has the freedom to do what he wants.
14:39So as long as he's happy, there was a lovely picture at the start with his daughter.
14:43I thought that was a real encapsulation of where he's at this moment in time.
14:47Looking around at his new home, you get to bring your family there.
14:50Just watch the smiles on his face.
14:52This is a young man that's happy and enjoying himself again.
14:56And that really bodes well for England.
14:58He said just as much as that, didn't he?
15:00I could drift, I could be more or less where I wanted today.
15:03And all those kind of emotions make it feel like he's in a place that he feels loved and wanted.
15:08And also you noticed that his teammates are looking for him the whole time.
15:12And does that help somebody like Barry, do you think, who's new to this?
15:15Yeah, and I think as well for Barry, I was at the game against Leeds on Monday, six days ago.
15:20And it was, it was criminal.
15:23That's the only word I could use, that Beto stayed on the pitch.
15:25He was awful.
15:26But this young man, again, 37 games last year, 11 goals.
15:30Played all summer for France.
15:32Has to get up to tempo and speed with what David Moyes wants.
15:36But his touch, his link, he held up the ball so much better.
15:39And obviously he's going to take a while to get accustomed to it.
15:42But he just added a different focus, was running in behind.
15:45And that then allows for Jack Greenish, and then Di, as Rob alluded to, to have so much space.
15:49And it gives a back foursomet to worry about.
15:51Have either of you ever had to be the first in a team to play at a new stadium?
15:56And had that emotion kind of going in?
15:58Because it must be such a kind of relief to get that result in your first game.
16:02I think you look at the history of teams, and a lot of teams have won their first game,
16:06and then struggled immediately after that.
16:08I think Southampton's the only side not to win their first game in a stadium.
16:11But you lose your identity.
16:14You lose the pockets of fans that sing.
16:16You lose the feeling.
16:18And generally, they're really, really nice to go and play in.
16:22And that counts for the away team as well.
16:24And you lose that intensity.
16:25And you know, my old club, West Ham, how they're suffering in their new stadium.
16:29And you're thinking, wow, what to be back at the bowling?
16:32And it's that sort of intensity that you lose to create your new history.
16:37David Moyd touched on it.
16:38New history again and again and again.
16:40They've got to go do it the next game and the game after that.
16:43We've got to talk to you about keepers and information.
16:46Because Pickford, we saw him checking his bottle on Monday against Leeds.
16:49He went the right way.
16:50He didn't save that penalty.
16:51It worked for him today, though.
16:52All this intel, all this information that is at their disposal on their water bottles.
16:57Yes.
16:58Just a reminder.
16:59It's only a reminder.
17:00He will have watched so many penalties before the game.
17:03And there is the key bit of information.
17:06Go left.
17:07And I think it's abundantly clear to Jordan Pickford when we see it in a second.
17:11But you're looking for various different tells.
17:14And it's easier with a shorter run up.
17:16Down to the step.
17:17Down to the type of movement he makes from a shorter run.
17:20Even down to what foot he starts his run up off.
17:23And you look at Jordan Pickford now.
17:24You can see he's actually further over to the left hand side.
17:27So there's so many giveaways within this.
17:29The final give away.
17:31The angle of Danny Welbeck's foot.
17:33If you're good enough to wait that long.
17:35He can't put it in any other direction.
17:37But that side.
17:38Because he cut off three quarters of the goal.
17:40So you would notice things that the player was doing.
17:42And positioning their body.
17:44Before you made your decision.
17:46Yeah.
17:47The more information I got.
17:48The better I got.
17:49At saving penalties.
17:50And one that I really enjoyed.
17:52I was against Steven Gerrard.
17:53And he used to set off in a different direction with his right foot.
17:56As opposed to his left foot in a different direction.
17:58At the start of his run up.
18:00You could tell just by that first step.
18:02Which way he'd go off.
18:03Or for sure to run up.
18:04And had a really good record against him.
18:06So whenever Liverpool got a penalty.
18:08You were like.
18:09Right.
18:10Just give me that first step.
18:11And you find those little triggers.
18:12And Jordan Pickford today.
18:13Nailed it.
18:14And the other side.
18:15Well that didn't look too confident.
18:17Did he?
18:18No.
18:19Look.
18:20I like Welbs.
18:21He's a friend of mine as well.
18:22So I've got to be careful.
18:23But.
18:24As a striker in this situation.
18:25As a former penalty taker.
18:27I'm thinking about the moment.
18:28It's the 77th minute.
18:30You've got this feeling now.
18:32If you score.
18:33All the momentums of you.
18:34That short run up.
18:35Doesn't feel like it's a natural run up.
18:37But this is the biggest tell for me.
18:39Just watch when he hits this now.
18:40If he's right foot.
18:41It comes off his heel.
18:42It's not a clean hit.
18:43So to me.
18:44It was just about.
18:45I would go down the middle.
18:46In that situation.
18:47Because it would take.
18:48A lot for Jordan Pickford.
18:49To stand.
18:50In that environment.
18:51With a new stadium.
18:52With all the fans behind him.
18:53To stand there.
18:54And do it.
18:55I just think.
18:56Go down the middle.
18:57In that situation.
18:58Go.
18:59Get it to 2-1.
19:00Now all the pressures are.
19:01Now all the anxiety builds.
19:02And you can keep going.
19:03But for me.
19:04Brighton were poor.
19:05Going forward.
19:06In their clinical edge.
19:07Their XG was excellent.
19:08It was a case of like.
19:092.46.
19:10So they should score.
19:11But it just.
19:12Back to back games now.
19:13With that killer instinct.
19:14They've lost Jair Pedro.
19:15And unfortunately.
19:16Haven't got that killer instinct now.
19:18And we wondered.
19:19Didn't we Troy.
19:20Where does Rob Green sit.
19:21In that pantheon.
19:22Of British.
19:23English.
19:24Premier League.
19:25Goalkeepers.
19:26And in terms of percentage.
19:28Well.
19:29He's the top.
19:3026% of.
19:31Of those penalties face.
19:32That he's saved.
19:33However.
19:34He's just one now.
19:35Behind Jordan Pickford.
19:36But he's taken much.
19:37Many.
19:38Many fewer.
19:39Than you.
19:40So.
19:41So what's.
19:42More sorry.
19:43He's taken more than you.
19:44So what's the secret.
19:45Information.
19:46For me.
19:47It was all about the information.
19:48In 250 games.
19:49And then.
19:50I got to West Ham.
19:51A greater number.
19:52Of information.
19:53A greater budget.
19:54That allowed us.
19:55To get that information.
19:56And from there.
19:57Stroke of fortune.
19:58Sometimes.
19:59But.
20:00It was.
20:01It was.
20:02It was.
20:03Been worse penalty takers.
20:04In our day.
20:05You got in there.
20:06Before he did.
20:07Okay.
20:08Next up.
20:09To Craven Cottage.
20:10Where Manchester United.
20:11Have won on.
20:12Each of their last.
20:13Eight visits.
20:14They've never won.
20:15Nine in a row.
20:16Away from home.
20:17Against any opponent.
20:18In their league history.
20:19Commentary comes from.
20:20Steve Wilson.
20:21Our own Danny Murphy.
20:23Was on the score sheet.
20:24The last time.
20:25Fulham beat Manchester United.
20:26Here.

20:32Today.
20:33They're looking for.
20:34A first home win.
20:35Since early April.
20:36Having lost.
20:37Their last three.
20:38Here.
20:39Last season.
20:40And Marco Silva.
20:41Makes three changes.
20:42To the side.
20:43Which earned.
20:44A late point.
20:45At Brighton.
20:46Goalscorer.
20:47Then.
20:48Rodrigo Muniz.
20:49Is in.
20:50For Jimenez.
20:51Sessegnor.
20:52And Castagna.
20:53Replaced.
20:54Cuenca.
20:55And Wilson.
20:56Who dropped to the bench.
20:57United.
20:58Altai.
20:59Keeps his place.
21:00In goal.
21:01Trafford.
21:02In the next day.
21:03Or two.
21:04Benjamin.
21:05Shashko.
21:06Is still a substitute.
21:07Ahmad.
21:08In for Diego.
21:09Dalo.
21:10The only change.
21:11To the side.
21:12Which lost.
21:13They got their best ever.
21:14Premier League points.
21:15Tally.
21:16Last season.
21:17Fulham.
21:18Can they kick on.
21:19From that.
21:22That's given away.
21:23Bruno Fernandes.
21:25Oh.
21:26That's not far away.
21:27Cuenca.
21:28Hit it really well.
21:29Hit it early as well.
21:30When he wasn't messing around here.
21:31Really good strike.
21:32They're not Manchester United out of the FA Cup last season.
21:33Fulham.
21:34In a penalty shootout at Old Trafford.
21:35A rare success for them over the Red Devils.
21:36It has to be said.
21:37That's Dorgu.
21:38Here's an opportunity for Cuenca.
21:39And he's hit the post.
21:40And Dumo.
21:41Well.
21:42Mathias Cuenca.
21:43Has started in electrifying fashion in this game.
21:46The game.
21:48Oh.
21:49Oh.
21:50Oh.
21:51Oh.
21:52Oh.
21:53Oh.
21:54Oh.
21:55Oh.
21:56Oh.
21:57Oh.
21:58Oh.
21:59Oh.
22:00Oh.
22:01Oh.
22:02Oh.
22:03Oh.
22:04Oh.
22:05Oh.
22:06Oh.
22:07I think he'll get there first, good save, off the left through the Valtai, good reactions
22:24from the goalkeeper, judged it right, plumb down the middle, asking questions of Anderson
22:32and it's a super stop by Leno to deny Cunha, well great goalkeeping of two completely different kinds here
22:41it's a great ball down the middle from Valtai, brilliantly controlled and then a super save from Leno
22:47Matthias Cunha might have had three, he hasn't played 15 minutes yet
22:52and Sessegnor's nicked it from Amadialo, Iwobi and King in the middle, Rodrigo Muniz arriving, good recovery, corner
23:06well he made amends for the error, Sessegnor was on to him very quickly
23:14Lukic with the delivery, that is Cunha, got his head on it, well controlled by Iwobi
23:26goes down as another good save, great technique here from Iwobi, this is far from easy
23:34coming down from a pretty great height, Valtai saw it coming and got across
23:39nice from Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, Anderson is with him
23:46and Bassi was covering, which was just as well because Matthias Cunha was in there
23:51nicely done by Mount, well covered by Bassi
23:59deep from Bruno Fernandes, Cunha and Casemiro were both there
24:07Castaner, there's a VAR check going on at the moment, for some possible holding from that
24:15Manchester United corner kick, it was Calvin Bassi on Mason Mount
24:21and this check has been going on for some time and they're looking again at that
24:26Bassi on Mount, well they have to feel that the ball might have come to Mount, had he not
24:35been swung around by Calvin Bassi and Chris Kavanagh has had a long hard look after review
24:44full at number three, Paul's Manchester player to the ground
24:48penalty to Manchester United, well believe me, that smile from Marco Silva
25:01is one of sarcasm, Manchester United have a penalty
25:08well Bruno Fernandes has done this so many times
25:16he does not miss many, Ruben Amorim is not watching
25:23here he comes the United captain
25:25and he's put it over the bar
25:29well just about the most untypical penalty you'll ever see from Bruno Fernandes
25:35absolutely hammered it over the crossbar
25:39I can't think I've ever seen him take a worse penalty
25:43I just wonder if that little accidental contact gone into Bruno Fernandes' mind
25:47he's going through his routine to take the penalty
25:50he's clearly not happy that Chris Kavanagh has accidentally impeded him
25:55well very small things can have significant ripples I guess
26:00King, Euro chasing and did brilliantly
26:13that's terrific defending there he looks second favorite there
26:19it's a great recovery brilliantly done
26:22that's the knee of the wildy and that's a Manchester United corner
26:42Brian and Boomer to take this right in front of the Manchester United fans
26:45and a free header it's in
26:54Lenny Euro has put Manchester United in front
26:59well and Boomer's getting congratulated for his delivery
27:02Lenny Euro definitely got something on it but Rodrigo Muniz
27:06just might be credited with an own goal here
27:10Manchester United are in front
27:11their first goal of the season
27:20well he's saying that there might have been a foul
27:24obviously it's been checked and cleared
27:27well this is what Fulham are unhappy about
27:30as the corner kick comes in there's a push by Euro on Basi
27:34Raul Jiménez and Alex Iwobi
27:43Sander Berger nicely done
27:45Raul Jiménez Harry Wilson steaming into the middle
27:49Dorgu kept pace with it
27:53mistake from Diogo Dalo
27:55Robinson
27:56Iwobi in and Smithrow
28:04it's 1-1
28:11Emil Smithrow for Fulham
28:14it's his first touch since coming on
28:17and he's just punched it past that tie for the more Manchester United one
28:30inbound matches Cunha
28:33behind
28:35by Calvin Basi
28:36and now it's Manchester United
28:41asking the questions
28:44well they scored
28:46from a Brian and Vermo corner kick
28:48from this side
28:49to take the lead
28:51if they do it again they'll probably win the game
28:53in it goes
28:57oh go the heads
28:57and that was not far away
29:00Harry Maguire
29:02familiar now with his
29:03role as a late substitute to go up front and try and score a late goal
29:07and he's not far away here
29:10a nice thing for a coach to be able to make substitutions who then have an impact on the game
29:14it's not a coincidence for us last season was 17 goals from players from the bench by far the best
29:20team in Premier League in that aspect and this season already happened in two games twice
29:26it's not a coincidence but it speaks more about the players that we have the characters that we have in our dressing room
29:30I think for me it's clear and obvious
29:33he's got two hands in my back he's created an advantage for himself
29:37he's clearly stopped me from getting to the ball so yeah for me I think it should have been a foul
29:42I felt that we were a good team until our goal and then we forget about
29:47our ideas and try to hold on the advantage so we are struggling so much to we want to win so bad
29:56football games that when we we score we were just thinking about hold the advantage
30:03I just wonder how much that little collision with the referee affected you
30:07no obviously as everyone you have your own routine and I was preparing myself to get the penalty
30:12yeah that caught a little bit of my nerves but it's not not uh not because of that I missed the
30:17penalty I missed the penalty because I kicked very well the ball I took it two under and the ball uh
30:21ended up going over the bar we'll get on to the taking of the penalty in a second but there's quite a
30:26lot to unpick isn't there in the in the actual awarding of that penalty yeah it's a tale of a number
30:31of corners within the game and that one of the main ones was the penalty that was given and uh
30:36VAR rearing its head again and we're looking at Casemiro and the sole purpose of mount and
30:44Shaw is to clear the path and block the players and I'll say it hold the players of Fulham to stop
30:50them getting in challenging now Kuni almost does that for them but there's no real appeal from any
30:57Manchester United players and one of the reasons is they said it was given that it was Bassey was the
31:01initiator the person who fouls first within there and we look Luke Shaw's already got hold of Muniz in
31:07there and Mason Mount is going in they both instigate the move if they didn't instigate the move those
31:14two players would be happy to go and make the make the header and clear the ball we can see that yes
31:19Calvin Passy does throw him over the leg his own leg but within that you've got a number of fouls
31:26already being committed and if there's any doubt we can see the other arm there of both players
31:31holding the players now they have no intention of going playing the ball so they are their sole
31:36purpose is to hold and foul the Fulham players and that's what they've done so I've it's a really
31:43dubious call or unclear so in the eyes of VAR it's if there's enough doubt in there to stay out and
31:50just leave it as a football in motion you can't do that as Calvin Bassie said he's admitted himself I
31:56shouldn't do that but Troy have you ever had a referee come along and try and put you off after
32:01giving you a penalty because it did help he says it didn't but it did yeah I think you know Bruno's
32:06fair play to him he's fronted up there but it has knocked him off his stride because normally
32:10he'd be more composed now and he passes it in but he actually lashes this one and a little bit of
32:15pressure and I think for Amarin he just wants that moment they started the game off so well and they
32:20haven't got the goals he must be thinking what have I got to do to just get the win over the line
32:24Cunha hitting the post then that missing the penalty the game could have been out of sight
32:29and then there was more controversy in the build-up to the goal itself and another situation where
32:35a foul could have been given yeah absolutely and for me it's a tweak that that Man United did so you
32:40can see here with Fulham they overload the front post here so they've got four in there in the areas
32:45here so Manu would target the back post as Rob has just alluded to but if we move it on to the
32:50second half again same setup but now Man United at half-time have deliberately moved it to the
32:55back post they've got Yarrow and Bassi here I want you to keep an eye on Bassi great ball in for
32:59Brian and Bermo here again got that quality they just push him in the back there led to Yarrow gets
33:04the header Muniz turns his back which I don't think Marco Silva will be too happy about but for me that's
33:09a foul when you push the defender in the back and it's more not could he be stronger yes absolutely
33:16would I want my centre back to be stronger course I would but where the ball lands is where Bassi
33:20would have been so he's moved him out of the way and here's the perfect example look the two hands
33:24in the back pushes him just enough off balance it's a poor header but ends up going in the back of the
33:29net but for me that's a foul it has a direct impact on the goal and you're looking for VAR when you have
33:36something clear and obvious that has a direct impact on the goal you flag it and then you ask the
33:42and Bassi was saying afterwards wasn't he that he was told that it didn't have a direct impact which
33:46is why it wasn't given as a foul but clearly it did yeah you're looking at VAR to say you should
33:52have stayed out of the first one and actually stepped in with the second one and got it the
33:56wrong way round let's talk about some positivity and Fulham's substitutes are certainly that aren't
34:02they dynamic energetic changing the game for them yeah again we're going to get onto the to the
34:07benches afterwards but for me I think Fulham have been great since the back end of last year
34:10they've um scored 19 goals now with with their subs and every sub that they made was it was an
34:16attacking one with more positive impact and as soon as we break through here look you've got Jimenez
34:21Smith Rowe uh Harry Wilson on the other side all running forward again but when the changes for
34:26man united for me goes wrong because this would have been ahmad he would have turned inside the set
34:30but even that the low on this just set it to fernandez look it's three v two on the top line
34:35just manage the game he doesn't for some reason tries to turn out it won't be
34:39great on the front foot and this is another substitute here with robertson and he makes this
34:43goal for me lovely little ball he could have stood at amari's work but look he runs into the space
34:48in that he moves lenny yarrow ugarte and even dalek goes to him as well but he forces the lit
34:53to come across he now opens up that space and lock it all good forwards emmanuel smith Rowe he just
34:58looks at that runs in runs off bruno fernandez and scores and for me fernandez is at fault in this
35:05and i'm going to show you why here just as that goes now look you can see smith Rowe to his left
35:10everyone's body position is moving forward now they're all locked in man for man he can't let
35:15that player go because he has to wait for someone to take him off him unfortunately it does it's a
35:19wonderful ball from alex iwobi and it's a lovely death finish from smith Rowe but man united have
35:26themselves to blame you mentioned about how successful they've they've been in terms of the effect and the
35:32impact of their subs 19 now they're on you said 17 over last season from their subs goals and
35:38obviously goals often mean points and for them you know crucial valuable points they got one same
35:43thing happened to them last week as well i guess that points to marco silver having to then really
35:47kind of balance his squad out doesn't it because smith Rowe will want to start but what an impact
35:51he's made for him today yeah and you look at a couple of years ago it was a fulham side that
35:56couldn't change the course of a game they really were stuck in setting a gear and couldn't really have
36:00an impact but now you looked at how they played and it was brilliantly highlighted of the runners
36:05beyond the runners from midfield and marco silver highlighted that before the game and after the
36:11game saying they've got the three or the five at the back whichever way you want to put it so we need
36:15those extra runners they had them in abundance on the bench and you just had to wait for that time
36:20and it's selling it to your players to say you're on the bench but you're gonna have to make this impact
36:25in the game and they're doing it time and time again and when you look at those two benches
36:29it's manchester united's and fulham's and you think about the fact that fulham have spent about
36:33four hundred thousand pounds in the transfer window and manchester united considerably more
36:39yeah um those benches for you troy are actually unbalanced the way you wouldn't think yes i think
36:46for me when you look at it shesko is the only one who's a a natural attacking positive option the
36:53rest of them again xerxes had a poor season man united fans are not sure mainu and and maguire
36:59ugarte they're all light for light subs when you look at fulham they can make defensive changes they
37:05can make attacking changes they can change formation just seems more well-rounded so for me it just looks
37:11as if that man united got so much work to do and also they've left they have to leave people out
37:17your garnachos the sanchos the decisions that they've made is actually hampering them so they
37:22need to get rid of these players quickly or they've got to put them in because now they're killing
37:27themselves so with that in mind and the transfer window coming to a close you know very soon what
37:34do they need to do in this business quit they need to get out to get in because they need options on the
37:39bench and and a keeper if an honor is not your man being there is certainly not your man yeah yeah
37:46nervous today on corners yes an understatement on that yeah yeah okay uh next to selhurst park a bit
37:54of extra feeling in crystal palace's meeting with nottingham forest with the added twist
37:58of the apparent breakdown in the relationship between forest manager and their owner your commentator is
38:03robin khan what should be a time for celebration is one more of uncertainty two trophies won in the
38:12last three months but palace's demotion to the conference league and the departure of key players
38:17has given fans cause for concern ever richie ez's move to arsenal has been confirmed captain mark gay is
38:24expected to be the next to leave but he starts today justin deveni is ez's replacement and the only change
38:30from the draw over chelsea forest supposed influence on ueper's decision has added to palace's sense of
38:36injustice forest gained a europa league place but they might yet lose the man who got them there
38:42their head coach nuno espirito santos future is in question after he admitted his relationship with owner
38:48evangelos maranakis has deteriorated worrying news for chris wood who has scored 33 times in 53 appearances
38:56during nuno's tenure forest are unchanged from the opening day victory over brentford

40:16Wharton, Saar has Mitchell on the overlap. Mitchell's cross, going by Milenkovic, Wharton, on to Munoz, and Saar!
40:34Well, Palace just kept coming and coming. A little bit lax there from Gibbs-White to give it away, trying something a bit fancy.
40:48And Ismail Assar, unmarked, untracked, potent in the penalty area to give Palace the lead.
40:57The mood lifted here in Selhurst Park.
41:01Devene. Through ball for Mateto, didn't quite come off. Wharton wins it back. Gay, now Mitchell.
41:19Foul by Anderson on Saar. Potentially in a dangerous position here, can work it well.
41:29In added time at the end of the first half.
41:38Wharton. Well, a diving header and it's off the post.
41:43Mark Gay, the width of the post away from doubling Crystal Palace's lead.
41:49No train just for either side. Let's see what sort of response Forrest can muster. Create a few opportunities in the first half.
41:59Didn't take any of them.
42:01Andoy's ball is absolutely inch-perfect. It's Hudson-Odoi!
42:07And we are all square. A simply sensational ball from Dan and Doy. Switched wings for this second half. He's already looked more dangerous.
42:23And Hudson-Odoi. Managing to find a way through Henderson. And Forrest right back in this game.
42:311-1. 1-1.
42:43Morgan Gibbs-White with the flick and Chris Wood's effort.
42:45Well, saved by Henderson. He was offside anyway.
42:51A little very, very tight. Either way, Henderson did enough.
42:57He's not going to do anything for his mood.
43:01And the ball down the line for Jesus. Who's in here.
43:13Off the frame of the goal.
43:17McAtee. Hutchinson.
43:21It just opened up for him here.
43:25Brilliant ball through. Very unfortunate. Henderson was beaten.
43:37Edouard. For Saar, he's tripped!
43:41Oh, the offside flag is up.
43:45This is going to be reviewed for the offside decision and a potential penalty now.
43:51Saar is offside.
43:53The penalty won't be checked because the initial decision was correct of offside.
44:07McAtee.
44:09Milenkovic helps it off to Murillo just in the nick of time.
44:13Williams sends it forward.
44:16Hutchinson!
44:18Over the top.
44:20Couple of very presentable opportunities for Forrest to win this.
44:26Could this though be the last we see of Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach of Nottingham Forrest?
44:36I think both teams deserve this point today. It's a deserved draw.
44:40We took the lead and in the second half our legs got a little bit fatigued.
44:46We could see that we have a quite intense start into the season.
44:48And then the pressure increased.
44:50And so I think Nottingham deserved the equalizer.
44:52And at the end the result is fair.
44:54Both halves I think we played good against a very tough team.
44:58Palace is a very good team.
45:00The team is well drilled, well organised, no spaces, aggressive.
45:06So we expected a tough game.
45:08But I think we show character.
45:10We play good.
45:11How has this week been for you?
45:12You've been extremely honest with the press which has surprised us.
45:15What are your feelings at the moment?
45:17Okay, look, I'm a person that thinks a lot.
45:20Thinks a lot before saying anything.
45:26I say because I believe that things can improve.
45:32But now it's the moment to ignore the noise.
45:36And just focus on what I have to do and my job is clear.
45:41You wanted to be honest though and you're speaking like you want a resolution.
45:44Would you like one or do you think there can be one to this situation?
45:47Of course.
45:48Of course there will be a resolution.
45:50Everything is going to be okay for sure.
45:52It's the moment now to sit down and talk.
45:54But it's okay.
45:55I think the more important is how we play football.
46:01How we play football.
46:02And I think we are improving, trying to adjust some things.
46:06And that's where my focus is.
46:08Just finally, they saw you with the fans.
46:10They were chanting your name.
46:11You could hear it loud and clear.
46:12You clearly have a lot of affection for you for what you've done for this club.
46:15Last season, I think it's one year and a half already that we joined Forest.
46:20We are delighted.
46:21And the journey that we embraced last season will stay forever with us.
46:25It's memorable and it's beautiful.
46:28Not perhaps all beautiful at the moment for Nuno.
46:33We'll talk about that in a moment.
46:35Okay.
46:36Klaxon alert.
46:37If you're playing match of the day, bingo.
46:38It was a game of two halves.
46:40Yeah, absolutely it was.
46:42We're just going to do it really quickly.
46:44Because I just think when you try and break it down, there was not a great deal that we could show you as to why it changed.
46:50For me, how it changed was the pattern of play was very deliberate here for Forest.
46:56What we saw last year, trying to force Palace to play the ball inside the pitcher where they've got the overloading numbers.
47:01And for Palace, it has to be really crisp one and two touch football.
47:05And as you can see here, what killed Palace in my opinion was Munoz and Mitchell.
47:10When they lose the ball, it's such a big, long, powerful run to get back.
47:14But as the game developed in the first half, Ismaila Sarr started coming in.
47:17The breakdown started falling.
47:19The pitcher started to change.
47:21And look, as Ismaila comes onto this left-hand side, you've got Mitchell on the overlap.
47:26Good ball into the air.
47:27It clears.
47:28More than Gibbs.
47:29Probably want to look after it a bit better.
47:30Will Hughes there.
47:31Into water.
47:32And again, look where the outlet is.
47:33It's a great ball from Munoz.
47:34And it's a lovely finish from Ismaila.
47:36It's like he learned that from a striker partner at Watford, I think, there.
47:39But it's a lovely finish.
47:42But then for Forest, we're back to what they know.
47:44Look, Murillo in there.
47:46Beating the press.
47:47Lovely ball in there.
47:48And Doy just a lovely little touch.
47:50And I'm going to say he meant this pass, but it looked like it went to Chris Wood.
47:53And it hurts the door in this situation.
47:55Mitchell's quick, but he's not going to catch him.
47:57And it's a lovely finish to the near post.
47:59And then again, look, here's where they could have won it.
48:01Murillo comes forward really direct.
48:03Puts Igor in as he's here.
48:05Could he pass it?
48:06No.
48:07Good defender.
48:08Great strike as it comes back out here.
48:11Amari Hutchinson, who they've just brought in.
48:13If he would have scored this, this would have been the same as last year.
48:15And we go, wow, look how great they've done.
48:17They've soaked up all the pressure in the first half.
48:19Look, it's all Palace just by the numbers.
48:21And then we flip it to the second one.
48:23You just see second half.
48:25Big chances there.
48:26Hit the woodwork.
48:27It would have been one of those games where we go Forest 1-2-1 and Palace don't know how they did it.
48:32Let's deal with the tough stuff then, shall we, Rob?
48:35Because last week, an emphatic victory.
48:37They've come and they've taken a point away from home.
48:39But Nuno's not afraid at the moment, it would seem, to talk about what is going on.
48:43And some of his quotes today, quite telling, weren't they?
48:46I cannot answer the question about whether I'll be here at the end of the transfer window, he says.
48:49What I know is I'm working on trying to do my job the best I can.
48:53I wouldn't ever want to walk away.
48:55I love what I do.
48:57He started being kind of spoken the week before the season started, didn't he?
49:01Talking about not being happy with the players that he brought in in terms of not being ready to go.
49:06Not that he wasn't happy with the players, but felt they weren't ready to go.
49:09He's talking a lot.
49:11Yes, and he's trying to create a pressure in a direction.
49:14He talks about the love that he's got internally and externally going down towards the players and outward towards the fans.
49:21That's fine.
49:22It's great.
49:23It's working really, really well for Nottingham Forest.
49:25They're happy.
49:26Upwards, there seems to be all sorts of issues.
49:28There's a power dynamic going on.
49:30You've got Edu and the owner.
49:32So the director of football, the sporting director, whatever you want to call him, has come in all-powerful, all-changing.
49:38And it's seemingly there's a power shift between him and the manager.
49:42So there's something that's got to give and he's pushing for that thing to give.
49:47Which way it's going to go, I think you can only see one answer really in it.
49:51And it's going to have to take some turnaround for him to stay in the job for the rest of the season.
49:56It seemed like everything last season about Forest was the togetherness that was propelling them forwards and overachieving almost in the league.
50:02And now they're in Europe this season as well.
50:04This season should be one full of joy, shouldn't it?
50:06As a player, if you've just re-signed a contract or you're a new player, are you starting to feel a little unsettled now?
50:12You're certainly asking questions.
50:14You're certainly phoning your agent and asking around, like, is this normal?
50:17If you just come in, is this what normally happens here?
50:19We saw a few instances last year with the owner on the pitch and you think, OK, maybe that's the relationship.
50:24But, yeah, you'd be looking at Europe.
50:26You'd be looking at what we're trying to do.
50:27Can we kick on?
50:28Can we kick on?
50:29And all of the Forest signings that they've brought in, well, the majority of them, have been attacking players for massive amounts of money as well.
50:35So you look and think, wow, they've really embraced this now.
50:40McAtee, Douglas Luiz, Amari Hutchinson, who we spoke about, real top players that know the league and know the level.
50:47You should all be positive.
50:48It just feels to me that the manager's trying to create something here.
50:51And I think Rob alluded to it perfectly there.
50:53Edu's the one thing that's come in that's changed.
50:56So is there a power struggle between the two?
50:58Players thrive in certainty.
51:00They thrive in clarity.
51:01We saw that with Forest last season.
51:03We saw it with Crystal Palace.
51:04Yeah.
51:05Now, all of a sudden, that's anything but the case.
51:08Palace now unbeaten in 12, which is the longest run they've gone the top flight since 1990.
51:12Oliver Glasner is clearly doing wonders there.
51:15You know, they've won trophies.
51:16They're having a great time.
51:17But he also has spoken about kind of being a little bit frustrated with their transfers at the moment.
51:22And you can have a look and see why, really.
51:25They've got money to spend here.
51:26It's just so frustrating for him.
51:28He's just delivered the best season ever in their history.
51:32And they're embarking on Europe with more games, more stresses, more travel.
51:38We've already seen it.
51:39They're playing on a Thursday night and a Sunday lunchtime.
51:40That's the first time they've ever had to experience that.
51:43And they're going to have to do it with a smaller squad without one of their key players.
51:47And they don't have a direct replacement just yet.
51:49So there's going to be a scramble for them between now and the end of the window.
51:53It doesn't seem like good business, does it?
51:54Because that feels like it drives the price up.
51:55No.
51:56When they know you're in a bit of a desperate situation.
51:57And we spoke about it earlier on in the day.
51:59It feels like clubs do it backwards.
52:01They sell people, say, look, we've got 60 million here to spend.
52:05How much can we get your player for?
52:06Funny enough, it's 60 million.
52:08So everyone just keeps doing this business backwards.
52:10So for me, you know you're going to lose Eze at some point.
52:13Go out, get your players in early, get the business done, and then sell them.
52:16A little bit like Newcastle are trying to do with Ezek.
52:19OK, well, if you've missed any of the action this weekend, both Match of the Day programmes
52:23are available on iPlayer, along with highlights of each of the weekend's Premier League games,
52:27which are also on the BBC Sport website and app.
52:30Look out for the Wayne Rooney Show, with a new episode dropping first thing tomorrow.
52:35For more reaction and debate, Monday Night Club is on 5 Live and BBC Sounds from 7 o'clock.
52:40Then on Tuesday, Northern Superchargers take on Manchester Originals in the 100.
52:44And on Wednesday night, highlights from the crucial Champions League playoff second legs,
52:48featuring Celtic and Rangers.
52:51OK, here's the story of the rest of the weekend in the Premier League.
53:18Enzo Fernandes makes it 3-1.
53:23And it's into the net from Casado.
53:26West Hamlet disintegrating in front of a rise here.
53:30Arsenal corner kick.
53:32Arsenal corner kick.
53:33Cranston!
53:34Julian Timber's got that one.
53:36Nice being to Saka.
53:38It's 3-0.
53:40Jokeres, he's done really well!
53:42That's a huge moment for him.
53:46Reiss with a corner kick and they force it over the line.
53:48They can!
53:49Timber's done it again.
53:50Downman here.
53:51It's a penalty to Arsenal.
53:535-0.
53:54And 2 for Jokeres.
53:56Clever flick that.
53:59Don't have to say, come hear you.
54:01It's Dombo Wattara!
54:04Wattara's there!
54:05Baby, don't you like this feast?
54:08Just what Brentford needed.
54:10Newly promoted a fan.
54:13A shooting opportunity.
54:14Here there is!
54:15Josh Cullen, the captain!
54:17Towards Anthony.
54:19Can he seal it here?
54:20Oh, he can!
54:22Finally, back in the top flight to Turf Moor.
54:25With a huge win.
54:28Semenya.
54:29Cavaniere.
54:30Back and plus the six yard area.
54:32Formed lead.
54:36Now Richarlison.
54:37Look at Johnson steaming in on the other side.
54:39And Johnson scored.
54:41Manchester City nil.
54:42Tottenham Hotspur won.
54:44That wasn't very wise.
54:46A recovery.
54:47But Spurs now double their leg.
54:49The Frank era is off and running.
54:53Well, there's been a lot of talk about Spurs' win against Manchester City yesterday.
54:57But Thomas Frank has really impressed you.
54:59You've just found something else you want to have a look at.
55:01Yeah, I just think the deliberate movements that they get as well.
55:05And we're going to show you here now.
55:06But for me, it started down this right hand side.
55:09They just dropped Pedro Poirot down a little bit to create the space.
55:12Look, Man City go with the press.
55:13It's Marmuch.
55:14And then Haaland tries to back it up.
55:16Just level there.
55:17But he just drops down into a deeper position.
55:18It's all about going into kudos.
55:20They realise they're brought in a wonderful player.
55:22He doesn't get his touch right here.
55:23But that's a pattern that you're going to see.
55:25As it comes here, look.
55:26Late on the press.
55:27Into his feet again into kudos.
55:29Saar just runs it out.
55:30But it makes the space.
55:32And if they get this right, Johnson's in again.
55:34And unfortunately for Man City, this is where 8-0 he actually gets injured.
55:38But you see this pattern of play developing all the way through.
55:41Again, down this right hand side.
55:42Saar now realises the space.
55:44They jump the press.
55:45Go over the top.
55:46Now on that back line, it's a 1v1 with Richarlison and John Stones.
55:50For Johnson now, as a striker, you're buzzing.
55:52You're seeing the number on the back of his shirt.
55:54Now I'm going.
55:55Here and now, Rico Lewis realises,
55:57Oh God, I'm in trouble.
55:58I need to get back.
55:59Tries to change, but it's too late.
56:01It's a great ball from Richarlison.
56:02And a lovely finish.
56:03And this was a pattern that just kept coming time and time again.
56:06Now at this point, they've pinned the back line.
56:084v4.
56:09As they go now, Palina realises,
56:12because they've got the double pivot, I can run on.
56:14This is the best thing for me.
56:15Doesn't even look.
56:16Just putting it into the area.
56:17If he wanted to, he could cut it back.
56:19Again, Johnson at the back post can see.
56:21Rico Lewis is back.
56:22If he was just to put that ball in a little bit better,
56:25they would be in.
56:26But for Thomas Frank, again,
56:27the edge of the box is boxed off.
56:29They're sealed, but it's constant pressure.
56:31And I just think tactically, he's got it spot on so far.
56:33And that involves communication, doesn't it?
56:35And players knowing what they're supposed to be doing.
56:37And his communication off the pitch
56:39has also been quite impressive, hasn't it?
56:41He's made a statement there, but you think on the pitch as well,
56:44it's clear that this is one of his strengths.
56:47Yeah, absolutely.
56:48In both senses, he's been pragmatic.
56:50His tactics are pragmatic.
56:51And he makes it clear and simple for players.
56:53And from what they had last season,
56:56what was being asked of them was so hard at times.
56:59And running them into the ground under Postacoglu
57:01that you're looking at the tactics where the players were going out and going,
57:04we just can't keep doing this, what's being asked of us.
57:07And now it's a breath of fresh air.
57:09We talked about what players thrive in,
57:11and it's believing in a system that they know they can do.
57:14They've shifted it around for every game,
57:16three different approaches for each game that they've had.
57:19And you're looking there, the practicalities there,
57:22the pragmatic nature is there.
57:25And then off the pitch as well,
57:29I think what's really impressed me is how you deal with the players.
57:32You're going into a big club.
57:33You've been at Brentford.
57:34Everyone's on board.
57:35Then all of a sudden, you've got two rules.
57:38Don't be an idiot.
57:39Don't be late.
57:40Eve Bissouma.
57:41I'm glad you used that word to describe.
57:43Yeah, there's other words.
57:44But Bissouma's fallen foul of one or both of those.
57:48And he's looked around and gone,
57:49this is my opportunity to stamp my authority on the team.
57:53And all of a sudden, bang, there's the opportunity.
57:56He's taken it.
57:57Everyone understands.
57:58It's clear as day.
57:59And players appreciate that.
58:01Oh, yeah.
58:02No grey areas for players.
58:03Black or white.
58:04Just keep it very, very simple.
58:05And I think what's happened really well as well with Bissouma,
58:07he has to fall on line now
58:09because they're winning games.
58:10They're playing well.
58:11So if they were losing,
58:12it would have just gone back to normal.
58:14Shall we have a quick look at the table?
58:15It's very early days,
58:16but Liverpool can join Arsenal and Tottenham on six points
58:20if they beat Newcastle on Monday night.
58:22Forrester fourth at the bottom.
58:23For the first time since 28th of May 23,
58:25none of the promoted teams are in the bottom three.
58:28That's something.
58:29That's about it from us.
58:30Lots of us getting used to new surroundings this season.
58:33Everton taking to their fancy new home in style.
58:35And on today's Evidence, Jack is back.
58:39Even in a while.
58:40After a month.
58:41What'm on?
58:42I never thought.
58:43I've already had to wait for a few years.
58:45I have a real answer to that.
58:46As a whole one can see,
58:47I'm so sorry.
58:48I was so sorry for this.
58:49I didn't probably work.
58:50I had to wait for the first time last year…
58:51I'll see you in the next two minutes.
58:52I'm sorry.
58:53So stay away.
58:54I'm sorry.
58:55I'm sorry.
58:56I was sorry.
58:57I'm sorry.
58:58Where are the first things?
58:59I was sorry for you.
59:00I was so sorry.
59:01I was so sorry.
59:02I was so sorry for everything.
59:03You can see your car.
59:04You can see me.
