00:33Inside draw, you mentioned Saffy, good with horses.

00:37Only three works coming in.
00:38This is a pretty ambitious spot.
00:40El Razine is the next one.
00:41The Blinkers come off for the two.
00:43It's a horse who doesn't have a whole lot of early speed.
00:46A positive, you know, when you lure Irad Ortiz Jr., one of the top riders in the game,
00:51that always has to be looked at as a positive.
00:53I just don't know if this particular race sets up all that well for him.
00:59He's a horse who needs a little speed to run at, so distance shouldn't be an issue,
01:03but he doesn't seem like he's coming into the race in the best form.
01:06Yeah, the equipment changed.
01:07First time the Blinkers are coming off since his maiden-breaking performance,
01:11so not necessarily what I want to see, but like you said, when you get Irad in an inside trip,
01:16third off the layoff, those are a lot of positives.
01:19Tawny Port finished second most recently.
01:21That was just a week ago over this course at Kentucky, but it was like a non-threatening second.
01:26Scott, we can see really late in this race when a lot of the other horses are just getting really tired at about the two-mile mark.
01:34He kind of passes, you know, the second, third, fourth, and fifth horses here, and he gets up for second.
01:39I don't really know what to think of him because he is 0 for his last 13.
01:44I don't want to speak for you.
01:45I'd get tired at the two-mile mark as well, probably long before that.
01:50But, yeah, that's a two- that mile, that was, I know it was a million-dollar race, but an underwhelming field.
01:55This is a tougher group.
01:56I think this is a horse that's seen better days.
01:58He was an Ohio Derby winner at the age of three.
02:01Vote no.
02:02Got the lead early most recently.
02:06Not really a speed horse, though, Scott.
02:07A horse who's probably wanting to come from off the pace a little bit.
02:10He just seems like he's in a tough spot here.
02:13He looks a bit overmatched on paper.
02:15Yeah, he's done well stretching out to new distances and further distances for Kelsey Danner.
02:20He has more speed than it might look on paper because he used to race in shorter races.
02:24But, again, he'll probably be in that second tier.
02:26He will have an aggressive rider in Luis Saez aboard for the first time.
02:29The next horse is probably as close to the horse to beat in this type of a race as possible.
02:34Maybe in that top two or three.
02:36Mercante, really sharp, really honest.
02:39He's a multiple-graded stakes winner.
02:41And, most recently, he finished fourth in a race going a mile.
02:45He had missed a little bit of training coming into that race, Scott.
02:48And you and I talked about this yesterday.
02:50You pointed out, too, it was probably a little shorter than what's best for him as well.
02:54Yeah, the mile distance, he didn't get right into the race.
02:57You know, he wasn't far off the pace, but he's usually right up and on it.
03:00In fact, it looks like it almost is a situation where he could take the lead.
03:04Looks like that again in here, Gino.
03:06If he really did need the last race off that little bit of time off, he really does fit well in here.
03:11I guess the one question is, did maybe he run his best?
03:14And now, coming back off the layoff might not be his best self.
03:18Graham, Sonata actually won this race last year.
03:22And he is a multiple-graded stakes winner.
03:24He comes off a pretty good effort, too, when he was second in the Arlington Million.
03:27But if you're just watching that race back, he wins and the runner to the outside, or he runs second and Fort Washington wins.
03:35And Grand Sonata got a much better trip.
03:38He was able to save all the ground and move through the inside.
03:41Fort Washington actually had the tougher trip.
03:43He had to go wide, and he still was able to beat Grand Sonata.
03:46Grand Sonata, last year's winner in this race, was 15-1 there.
03:50We won't even get half that price in here.
03:53But I guess if you're looking for positives, other than that he obviously fits on paper, he's never been worse than second and two starts over this surface.
04:00Utah Beach is a multiple-graded stakes winner.
04:03He has a couple races on speed figures that would actually fit with a group like this, Scott.
04:09But it does feel like this is probably tougher than any group that he's beat so far.
04:14So I kind of go back and forth with him.
04:15Yeah, he's an honest horse and had a real good spring this year with a couple of big wins in Kentucky at the mile-and-a-half distance.
04:22His last race off the layoff was a grade one, the Sword Dancer, so better competition there.
04:27He was three wide into the first turn there.
04:30I think he makes sense underneath as he gets a good fit, and Joel Rosario very good over this course.
04:35Yeah, and then we move to the outside four.
04:37Honestly, any of these really wouldn't shock me that much.
04:40Old Crazy Bones coming off a pretty good runner-up effort right behind Anglophile.
04:44So those two, the eight and the nine, both come out of the same race.
04:48They ran second and third.
04:50Anglophile made an early move and opened up a little bit, ends up getting nailed, but still ran pretty well.
04:57And Old Crazy Bone had a different kind of trip, was full of run, was kind of looking for room, and came flying late and just missed.
05:05I can understand taking positives from either of those horses, Scott, coming into this race.
05:10Old Crazy Bone will probably be a little bit more of a price in here.
05:13Let's start with him.
05:15Yeah, Old Crazy Bone, I think, might be a little closer to the pace than he was in the last race, was three wide in that first turn there.
05:21He had a favorable flow, but no other real favorable situations, if you will, in that race for him.
05:27Mike Maker, second off the claim, he is tough when he spends six figures or such for these types of horses and moves them into these mile-and-a-half races.
05:35You know, initially, I kind of looked at Anglophile, and I was dismissing some of the overall form.
05:40And then a very sharp handicapper that I know yesterday I was speaking with liked Anglophile a little bit.
05:46So I took a second look at Anglophile.
05:48And, Scott, honestly, when you go through race by race, that form is pretty good.
05:52And that sharp handicapper I was talking about was you, my friend.
05:55You like this horse a little bit.
05:56I do.
05:57I think, you know, I'm going to end up picking him on top, as we'll see in a couple of minutes.
06:01That might be a bit of a reach since he hasn't won many races of late.
06:04But I think it's a race where there's horses to fade that are going to take money and tee around this horse in the exotics and use them on top, of course.
06:12Declan Cannon, I think, is the one that fits him best, even though he might not be as big of a name.
06:16We move to the number 10, Corruption.
06:19He's a very important horse in this race because win or lose, he looks like one of the major speed horses in here, Scott.
06:25And I think intent-wise, they will probably put him on the lead because that's just where he's done his best work.
06:31The race we're watching right here is a really easy win for him.
06:34I mean, he's supposed to do this.
06:35This is a field that he's much better than.
06:37When you watch him face Graded Stakes Company, he's faced some tough horses.
06:41He was fourth in the Manhattan, and that race has come back strong.
06:44He's been in good form.
06:45He's won five of his last seven.
06:47I think the race probably goes through him up front early on, and we'll see how far he can go if he gets pushed.
06:53I think that'll kind of determine where he ultimately finishes here.
