00:00Jacoby Brissett is now headed to his seventh new team, and that team will be the Baltimore
00:07Ravens, who are so decimated in the quarterback position that they have now traded with Arizona
00:14to grab Jacoby Brissett to try and save their season.
00:18Now, I don't know about you.
00:20I think this is tomato-tomato.
00:23What is the difference?
00:24I do think that likely this will spend the end of this entire situation with the Ravens.
00:34I would not mind looking on the prediction markets to see if, oh, I don't know, Ravens
00:40not to make the postseason might have any value at this point, because they certainly aren't
00:47winning tomorrow night, and by the time he's ready to go under center for the Ravens, it
00:53might already be too late.
00:55Craig, I'm not sure what you think of Mr. Jacoby Brissett as the savior of the Ravens franchise.
01:02Well, I would say to the credit of Jacoby Brissett, Jacoby Brissett did a great job last year
01:11in the second half of many games for the Arizona Cardinals when that team was down big, and he
01:18brought them back in a lot of games, not to win, but he was able to stack up a lot
01:23of yards
01:24and stack up some points for the Cardinals, so much so that the Cardinals opted to give him a
01:30contract for this year, which was just kind of accepted by everybody, because everyone thought
01:36that by having Jacoby Brissett as your quarterback, and if you think of the 30, is it 32 or 30?
01:41I can't remember what's in the NFL, what they have these days, but if you think of all of
01:45the quarterbacks in the NFL that are starters, 32 starters, I think going into the season,
01:52you probably would have put Jacoby Brissett somewhere between 30 and 32, but the problem
01:58was is that he wasn't bad enough for the Cardinals, Joe.
02:02He kind of kept them in a lot of games, and the Cardinals won a lot more games than they
02:06were supposed to win.
02:07In fact, right now, I'm sure the Cardinals would have looked at it and said, we probably
02:12should be one and six, and not have three wins, or whatever amount of wins that they
02:16have, and so they got desperate.
02:18They said, you know, we got to lose some more, we got to trade Marvin Harrison, okay, goodbye.
02:22Let's bring in Gardner Minshew, let's let him start too, and so I don't know, how would
02:28you judge this organization of the Cardinals, Joe, by giving the money to Brissett, and then
02:33halfway through the season determining he is not the guy, forget about the future, but
02:38the guy for this year.
02:39So that's the one side of it for me for Arizona.
02:42Now, the other side, Joe, for Baltimore is exactly what you said.
02:46This is not going to make any difference whatsoever for the Ravens.
02:49I think what it does is it gives them someone that can snap the ball, occasionally make a pass
02:55here or there, have a competitive game or two the rest of the season.
02:58I would venture to say the Ravens have almost no chance whatsoever of making the playoffs
03:05with Jacoby Brissett this year, but I want to go back.
03:07Credit to Brissett, stat padding a lot last year, got him that money this year, which he
03:13never would have got.
03:14He's been in the league more than 10 years, Joe, as a backup quarterback for a million
03:17different places, Miami, Indianapolis, New England, got his chance this year, won a little
03:23bit too much, and that's not what the Cardinals were looking for.
03:27The Cardinals were looking for a lot of losing.
03:29Cardinals now can do their losing the rest of the season, but unfortunately, the Ravens
03:33will do a lot as well.
03:35Yeah, I mean, listen, I appreciate the optics of this because you have to admit, right, like
03:43there's no way the Ravens could have sold to their fan base and season ticket holders.
03:49We're good.
03:50Joe Fagnano is it, man.
03:51We realize that he has held a clipboard, hasn't dressed.
03:55He's been the emergency quarterback, not taking that.
03:58We get it, but trust me, he is good.
04:00No, he's not good.
04:02He is just that.
04:04He's the emergency quarterback.
04:06There is no way you could sell to the fan base and expect those fans to show up each and
04:13every week if you did not make a move like this.
04:16They had to do something to get experience in that room because right now, Slovis and Fagnano
04:23are not going to get people at the gate spending their money to go watch this team get killed
04:28every week.
04:29So I appreciate the effort, but in reality, it's his seventh team.
04:35The only reason he has half of his stats is because he threw the ball to Trey McBride the
04:41entire time.
04:42In fact, I believe it is the most receptions and yards.
04:48I average 76 yards a game to Trey McBride this season in eight weeks.
04:55That's it.
04:56That was his guy, Trey McBride.
04:58It is the most by a quarterback tight end combo since 1970.
05:02The problem is there's Zay Flowers here, but there was Michael Wilson.
05:09There were other guys there in Arizona he couldn't get the ball downfield to.
05:13So I appreciate the effort optically, but the reality is I am looking for every prediction
05:20market there is, and I am looking to fade any market that has a reasonable price.
05:26The Ravens somehow making a difference and making the postseason because it's a postseason
05:33no for me here with the Ravens.
