00:00I learned that I love tennis way more than I thought I did.
00:08And I learned that, you know, I actually really love challenges.
00:14You know, it's like a video game, you pick it up and even if you lose a level,
00:19you kind of just restart and keep going until you eventually win.
00:23And I think it's a little tough at some times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
00:30Matt and then Ben.
00:32Well done, Naomi.
00:33Thank you.
00:34Do you, when you're in the middle of this, do you like allow yourself to sort of pull back?
00:40And I think you do a little bit because you keep mentioning the Coco and the semifinals and things like that.
00:46But once you sort of leave here, do you think about the big journey or are you having to force yourself
00:53to just only think about sort of next matches and the fact that you hopefully have two more to play?
01:00Yeah, I mean, definitely.
01:01I think for me, I appreciate the journey a lot more now.
01:07I think when I was younger, I kind of just kept thinking of the next one, the next one, the next one.
01:11And obviously, I would love to appreciate everything right now, but, you know, I have a match to play tomorrow.
01:20Yeah.
01:20So they put the mom on less.
01:23That's crazy.
01:26So, yeah, you know, I'll probably tell you how much I appreciate it at the end of the tournament,
01:32which is hopefully on Saturday for me.
01:34But regardless, I'm just really grateful to be playing well in this city.
01:40Ben.
01:41Chris, I saw a bit of your ESPN interview and you were saying you sort of had to stop comparing yourself
01:46to how other moms have progressed and how much has that been going on.
01:50I'm curious, was there a moment where you sort of were able to let that go this summer
01:53or was there some other moment this summer?
01:55I don't know if it was the Washington or coaching change, wherever it was,
01:59that something happened that you sort of turned a page and found some new clarity.
02:03Yeah, actually, it was obviously after Wimbledon, but specifically after D.C., after I played
02:12Raducanu, I like called a round table of my team.
02:16And I was just like very confused how confident I was in myself, because even though I lost,
02:25I just remember telling them, I think I can beat anyone from the baseline still, even though
02:32I lost.
02:32And we just have to figure out if I have to change my game plan or if I just have to do
02:37something new and different.
02:39And then obviously Thomas came in the picture and we've kind of been on a roll since then.
