00:00This is a crime that, by our Justice Department's own admission, has a thousand victims.
00:15A thousand victims. Do you know a thousand people? Think of the enormity of that.
00:20Could you be okay with a crime happening in your community to a thousand girls and young women and not holding the perpetrators accountable? I think not.
00:34Congress must choose. Will you continue to protect predators or will you finally protect survivors?
00:42We know the names.
00:46Many of us were abused by them.
00:48Now, together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know we're regularly in the Epstein world.
00:57And it will be done by survivors and for survivors.
01:03No one else is involved.
01:05Our demands are clear.
01:08Yelaine Maxwell must remain in a maximum security prison for the rest of her life.
01:12No leniency, no deals, no special treatment.
01:20That's right. Send her back to Florida.
01:21The Epstein documents must be unsealed.
01:24Every name.
01:26Every name.
01:26Every detail.
01:28Every detail.
01:28No more secrets.
01:30No more protection for those who preyed on the vulnerable.
01:32Americans are asking a very simple question.
01:36How is it possible that in the richest, most powerful country in the world, there are corrupt special interest forces, both foreign or domestic, that are preventing the release, that have a stranglehold on our government and are preventing the release of the full Epstein files?
01:59There is something that is rotten in Washington.
02:04Less than 1% of these files have been released.
02:07We are demanding today on the discharge petition that all of the files be released.
02:13This is my fifth year in Congress, and this is the largest press conference that I've seen since I've been here.
02:20And this is because this is an issue that matters so much to Americans.
02:24This is an issue that doesn't have political boundaries.
02:27It's an issue that Republicans and Democrats should never fight about.
02:33As a matter of fact, it's such an important issue that it should bring us all together.
02:37So this is a Democrat hoax that never ends.
02:42You know, it reminds me a little of the Kennedy situation.
02:46We gave him everything over and over again, more and more and more.
02:49And nobody is ever satisfied.
02:51From what I understand, I could check.
02:53But from what I understand, thousands of pages of documents have been given.
02:58But it's really a Democrat hoax because they're trying to get people to talk about something that's totally irrelevant to the success that we've had as a nation since I've been president.
03:08So what they're trying to do with the Epstein hoax is get people to talk about that instead of speaking about the tremendous success, like ending seven wars.
03:16I ended seven wars.
03:18Nobody is going to talk about it because they're going to talk about the Epstein whatever.
03:21I understand that we were subpoenaed to give files.
03:24And I understand we've given thousands of pages of files.
03:28And I know that no matter what you do, it's going to keep going.
03:32And I think it's I think really I think it's enough because I think we should talk about the greatness of our country and the success that we're having.
