00:00I think the biggest misconception is that we are officers first.
00:04And that's not really true.
00:06We're people first.
00:07We're officers second.
00:08And that we have to look at it from the human aspect.
00:11When people are doing their best and showing up and being required to do something and
00:18they're doing it, then they should be paid for their labor.
00:20It is very difficult to, you know, choose between your civic duty or your hungry child
00:27looking at you in the face.
00:28So I do think that it probably, as long as this goes on, that people are going to start
00:33to call out more.
00:34People are going to start to look for work elsewhere because we are considered essential
00:38employees.
00:39We're expected to legally to show up for work regardless.
00:42And so in order for people to go get other jobs, they have to have clearance or approval
00:47for that.
00:47Most officers are between a rock and a hard place.
