00:00Thank you, Mayor Bowser. Joe Khalil with NewsNation. You've said you agree with the $2 billion investment that President Trump is asking Congress for for D.C. He has said he expects those projects could take anywhere from six months to a year. So do you expect that that timeline is accurate? If it is, do you expect there will be some kind of federal presence here in some form for a full year doing that?
00:24I have no idea what the projects are, other than what I've heard or the timeline. Our experience with those type of projects is they take long, but I couldn't comment on that because I don't think there's been a listing of projects.
00:41And you've acknowledged here that some of the crime has come down significantly in the federal takeover here.
00:49Search. Federal search.
00:51There are several other cities President Trump has floated also for potential National Guard presence. A lot of those cities' leaders have pushed back on that. Would you recommend that they accept the Guard or federal resources as has happened here?
01:08Let me just say this. We're unique. I'm the mayor of Washington, D.C. My comments relate to Washington, D.C.
01:16And we are unique in that we're always going to have a different relationship with the federal government because we are the seat of the nation's capital.
01:28And so that's different. So I wouldn't comment or extrapolate to any other place. This is what we are dealing with.
01:37And what was, was that your whole question? Okay.
01:40Okay.
