00:00Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeo has praised the Road to Gold program after the historic success of Malaysian shutlers at the Badminton World Championships in Paris.
00:12Chentang Jieto Iwe clinched gold in the mixed doubles, while Perlitan M. Tina took silver in the women's doubles.
00:21In a Brunama report, Yeo said the results showed that government funding for the RTG program was producing results.
00:30Yeo also praised Chen and To for bouncing back after their brief split in March, saying they were now among the world's top mixed doubles pairs.
00:40She also praised Perlitan and Tina for inspiring women shutlers by turning imagination into reality.
00:47She confirmed that the four medal-winning athletes qualified for the National Sports Incentive Scheme, which awards RM20,000 for gold medalists and RM10,000 for silver.
