00:00Hello. Yes, two men have been taken to hospitals in London after stabbings at a London tube station within 24 hours of each attack.
00:12And police believe the two incidents are connected.
00:15British Transport Police had been called to Oxford Circus Station at 3.40am on Saturday and just after 1.30am on Sunday following reports of serious assaults.
00:27A 23-year-old man was taken into hospital with stab wounds on Saturday morning and a 41-year-old had been found the following day and taken to hospital on the Sunday as well.
00:42Police were appealing for witnesses and had released an image of a man that they wanted to talk to, although no arrests had been made.
00:52While they had not specified where in the station the stabbings had occurred, the night tube service was known to run through Oxford Circus on the Victoria Line and Central Lines on the weekend.
01:07Police said that neither victim's injuries were life-changing or life-threatening either.
01:13DCI Gareth Davis has stated that there was absolutely no place for violence on the rail network and that detectives were working at PACE to investigate the two connected incidents.
01:28He added that passengers would see an increased police presence now at the station while officers carried out investigations on the situation.
