00:00PASA's Manjoy Assemblyman Hafiz Sabri has apologized over a Facebook post on the security
00:06breach involving Sultan Nazrin Shah at the Perat State-Level National Day celebration
00:10after it went viral and drew criticism for being racially charged. Hafiz said his initial post,
00:17made based on early information, had wrongly identified the person involved. However,
00:22he claimed that the post was manipulated by irresponsible parties who circulated a screenshot
00:26before he corrected it within minutes. The post has since been deleted. In another Facebook post,
00:32he said he had no intention of raising racial or ethnic issues, adding that security breaches
00:37cannot be condoned regardless of who was responsible. He said he had lodged a police
00:41report over the matter. Police had earlier confirmed that the woman who rushed onto the stage and ran
00:46towards Sultan Nazrin was a 41-year-old Malay woman, dismissing claims that she was Chinese.
00:51The AP youth wings in Penang and Negri Sambilan have since filed police reports against Hafiz
00:56over the posting. Dinesh Raja Raza, FMT.
