00:00Let's get into our first triple play of the weekend.
00:02Curtis Wilson, you've got this one. Take it away.
00:04And this first one, by the way, is coming to us from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
00:09That's in Florida.
00:10Recently, Jacksonville hosted its first ever Ironman triathlon.
00:14It started with a 2.4-mile swim, then 112 miles on the bike,
00:18capped off with a 26-mile marathon.
00:21Nearly 2,000 people participated, but only one was behind the wheel of a Ford Focus.
00:31It's Jacksonville's inaugural Ironman triathlon.
00:35And an officer is responding to a report of a Ford Focus that just plowed through the course.
00:46And there's the car.
00:53The officer is hurrying to catch up with the driver.
01:09The driver cuts through the parking lot
01:16and nearly crashes into two of the athletes and a motorcycle cop.
01:40The motorcycle cop gets in front of the driver and blocks him in.
01:54He's now heading straight for the busiest part of the course.
02:18The officer crashes into the Ford Focus.
02:23And again, the driver takes off.
02:26That's it, I'm nervous.
02:27I've got to stop this guy.
02:28He's going to kill someone.
02:30The officer moves in for a pit.
02:40Pit, pit, pit!
02:43Do not f***ing move!
02:44Do not f***ing move!
02:47And as the triathletes continue cycling past,
02:50this driver's race is officially over.
02:52What about now?
02:53Get out of the car!
02:56Thankfully, not a single person was hurt.
02:5962-year-old Daryl Simon is now facing eight felonies,
03:02including aggravated fleeing and aggravated battery in an officer.
03:06Now, according to police, this was the third time Simon's been arrested for DUI
03:10in the past decade.
03:12Wow.
03:12That is amazing that no one was injured.
03:14Yeah.
03:14In particular, with all the runners out there,
03:16and then you got the pit.
03:19Anyway, that was the good news there.
03:21jerseys.
03:21У mean.
